I totally remember going along
picking wild blackberries by the bucketful at my grandmother's house in South Carolina.
Though I am
picking wild blackberries from our bushes now, I much prefer blueberries... well, at least they're less expensive now:) I could make the same recipe with blackberries.
If you live in a village, you can also
pick wild blackberries, which are clearly as natural as they come and contain naturally higher levels of antioxidants due to developing their own natural pest defences; e.g. they're not kept in a bubble by farmers and their pesticides.

pick them too, which is really fun — there's something really magical about collecting your own
wild, organic food and turning it into something totally delicious!
