The only difference between Juju's pictures and mine was that I didn't have to scroll through pictures of Sasha Obama in order to get to
the picture of my kid playing Rock Band.
While it's expected that moms will share photos of their kids on social media, it's because of social media that so many moms today are trying to get the perfect shots, and I'm not talking about those posed school pictures; I'm talking about
pictures of their kids playing at the park, sleeping or pretty much everything else.

When I want to get a

kids, I tell them that if they cooperate for a
picture (or 70) that they'll get to pick a sucker out

Some people, when they think
of sensory
play, immediately
picture sand and water tables or
kids playing with clay and playdough, but it isn't all about touch; it's also about the other senses.

Kids can't color a

play with a dollhouse unless they're constantly reminded

of being a pediatric Occupational Therapist is spending years perfecting the skill
of keeping things from going in
kids» mouths, I also unleashed my boy on some truly messy
play with finger painting OUT
of the Ziploc bag... but there were no clean hands to take
pictures.

picture how rough it was from all those years
of use,
kids playing on it, moving it from one house to another to another, from one side
of the country to the other and then back again.
