Like his masters, Thomas Struth shot one - point perspective of empty, unpopulated scenes, sometimes of the streets in Düsseldorf, and later in his career made
pictures on a monumental scale: The photos in his museum series are as big as the paintings they depict.
Several works of the latter sort will be
on view in the current exhibition, including large -
scale canvases that feature collaged photographs of other fans» paintings of Winehouse embedded in
monumental geometric forms, or alongside magazine and
picture book images of birds, planets, cannabis leaves, and architecture.
