I made these this morning
according to the recipe and they were good, but not as flavorful as I liked, so I made a second batch and added puréed pumpkin along with the apple sauce, some walnuts, raisins and apple
pie spice and OMG!!!
According to records, the pumpkin
pie originated from colonists slicing off the pumpkin top, removing the seeds, and filling the insides with milk, honey and
spices before baking it in hot ashes.
