Firstly, I was wrestling with a super stretchy knit
fabric with tons
of give, and all the
pieces I cut ended
up being around two inches shorter than the pattern

pieces, the only thing left to do was to clean
up the edges with a sharp pair

If you've been following along on stories you'll know that a few days ago I hit
up my local
fabric markets, searching for new
pieces of fabric to make outfits for this totally new figure I'm sporting these days.
Since it's just one
piece of fabric, my shirt doesn't get bunched
up plus this style
of clothing is usually pretty loose and flowy so that helps with any restriction especially when you already have a seatbelt strapping you in.
Here are a few tips for pulling off this trend: pick different shades
of denim to pair together (dark and light, black and dark blue, etc.), break
up the denim with other
fabrics and colors, make sure your
pieces aren't too tight, and please DO N'T add denim accessories.
I used fusible interfacing on both
pieces of the brim
fabric, which I think stiffened
up the brim a bit more than I like, so the next time I make it I'll just put interfacing on one
of the sides.
