This is a real contender for my favourite sandwich ever... The mix
of crispy tofu, infused with salty tamari and tangy apple cider vinegar, with creamy hummus, slices
of soft
avocado, handfuls
of fresh rocket and slices
of sautéed mushrooms, all snuggled between two
pieces of crunchy
toast is just a dream!
However, if you have diabetes / pre-diabetes and you are including bananas as part
of a whole meal then I would just balance them with some healthy fat (
avocados, nuts, etc.) You could have a banana on top
of a
piece of sprouted whole grain
toast with some almond butter and that would be a good option.
Use a knife to spread the mashed
avocado onto the
piece of toasted whole grain bread.
Pile on the chicken, top with sliced
avocado, then finish with the last
piece of toasted sourdough.
While it is pretty epic fare for entertaining, you can also prepare it family - style if you slather the whole
piece of toast with
avocado goodness (transforming it into the best - ever half - sandwich), instead
of quartering it into bite - size
pieces.

Toast both slices
of bread and slather mashed
avocado on both
pieces.

Sometimes I'll have a
piece of sourdough
toast from a local organic bakery with nut butter or some
avocado and lemon.
You may also try offering very soft and small
pieces of toast for your baby to gnaw on at this stage, but be cautious with
toast as it can be more
of a choking hazard than banana or
avocado.
Great foods for this: cooked carrots (diced), Cheerios, goldfish crackers, bits
of cheese, small
pieces of toast, and
pieces of banana, tofu, and
avocado.
I fry or poach an egg I
toast 2
pieces of sourdough bread (use whatever bread you'd like that's just my fave) instead
of butter etc I use coconut oil then I mash up whole or half an
avocado depending on how hungry I am squeeze some 1/4 lime or lemon into avo spread it on top
of the
toast and sprinkle salt and pepper as well as some pine nuts (or anything else you'd like to top it with) and when I have tomatoes I like to cut up a few and add them as well.

If all else fails and you haven't got anything prepared, my go to breakfast is a
piece of toast with
avocado (and you can add eggs too!).
Good choices include a poached egg on wholegrain
toast with ricotta cheese /
avocado, a handful
of raw, unsalted nuts and seeds with a
piece of fruit or yogurt with oats.
After workouts you should eat a mixture
of carbs and fats so a
piece of whole meal

avocado and poached eggs or a spinach and bacon omelette would be great!
To assemble:

avocado slices, then a drizzle
of chimichurri, then approximately 1/2 teaspoon honey and chopped pistachios, if using.

of French and cool - girl - vibe about having a beautifully prepared
avocado toast with some olives, instead
of a burrito wrapped in trash - upon - trash and
pieces of rice and black beans all over your desk, AM I RIGHT?
