the pin bar on the daily chart USDCAD formed last Friday sept 08.
Note the first
pin bar on the left of the chart, this initially formed the event area because of the strong down move that followed.
If you zoom out and look at the monthly chart you can see this level was clearly significant, and so if you were long from the inside
pin bar on May 25th, you would have considered taking your 1:2 profit near this resistance.
Note the small
pin bar on August 7th of 2013, the pin bar and subsequent powerful bullish move from it told us that this $ 1277.00 level was an event area to keep our eyes on if price re-tested it in the future.
However, price did form a bearish
pin bar on Thursday, reversing at a key long - term resistance area up near 1.2540, visible on the weekly time frame.

on the other side of the price action setup; in the example below it was a
pin bar.
In the chart below, we didn't have this issue; we had a nice large bearish
pin bar protruding from the trading range resistance, so the best placement for the stop loss
on that setup is obviously just above the
pin bar high.
I did not take the AUD / JPY... but did take a boatfull of pips
on the nice
pin bar last week
on the AUD / USD 4 hr.
