Full definition
The garden (which is organic but not certified) is a sea of citrus fruits, chili peppers, vegetables and herbs, such
as pineapple sage and cilantro.
(In the photo, I used fresh springs of rosemary, sage, and
pineapple sage for its beautiful red colored blooms.)
Serve immediately garnished with sage leaves or, if you're lucky enough to grow this herb:
ravishing pineapple sage blossoms.
Common sage has a deep, earthy flavour and aroma but you can also
buy pineapple sage which, as you might expect, has a sweet pineapple scent (though the flavour is more like common sage); purple sage, which has a milder flavour; and the equally mild tricolour sage, which has a variagated leaf of pink, cream and green.
In a large pot, combine the ground cherries, pineapple (with juice), ginger,
pineapple sage and agave and bring to a boil.
