Spreads The
spread, calculated in «
pips,» is the difference between the price at
which a currency can be purchased and the price at
which it can be sold at any given point in time.
The minimum
spreads which traders can get at Pepperstone can be as low as 0
pip.
I haven't done fx trading at all, but are there any other costs involved in holding that besides the 2
pip spread,
which is negligable?
Overall trading conditions with AAAFx are pretty good, a typical
spread of 1.9
pips on all four major currency pairings is particularly good for a brokerage
which offers fixed
spreads.
The difference between the BID and ASK price is the
SPREAD,
which in this case, is 1.3483 — 1.3480 = 3
pips.
The lowest
spreads are between the biggest currencies — EUR / USD generally but the brokers earn their commission by ~ 3
pips which is of course based on the amount leveraged rather than the amount spent.
