The pirate Tetra is later revealed as Zelda, the princess of Hyrule.
When Link's sister is kidnapped and taken to the Forsaken Fortress, he sets off in pursuit — accompanied by
pirate Tetra and her crew.
In Wind Waker,
the pirate Tetra turns out to be Zelda in disguise, in something of a revisit to the Ocarina of Time plot.

Mako is the smartest member of
Tetra's
Pirates as he always carries around a book.
Link, the Hero of Winds, alongside
Tetra and her
pirates, successfully found a new continent ruled over by the Spirits of Good sealing away the Demon King Malladus with the use of the Spirit Tracks.
In this game,
Tetra or other navigators serve as guides to Link as he searches the land for members of
Tetra's
pirate gang in a specific order to gain stamps from them.
Niko is the lowest member of
Tetra's
Pirates until Link comes along.
Pirates must be found in the correct order, so players rely upon map information and hints provided by
Tetra through the fabled
Pirate's Charm.
The
pirates all play a very minor roll in the game and after
Tetra and Link try to board the Ghost Ship, Gonzo and the rest of the
pirates are not seen again until the very end of the game.

Tetra's

pirate captain

Once
Tetra is revealed to be Zelda, she transforms from
