In print publishing this title page contains the title of the

name, the
place and year of publication, the publisher, and sometimes illustrations.
I was taken aback at the setting at first because it does not have many of the
places and
names that I'm familiar with, but
in the end of the
book, after the novel, it has his explanation of why, and it is fabulous.
Now we're into our 2nd year and Rick has presented
in over 80
places that include libraries, history centers, nature preserves, schools, retirement communities, special fundraising events,
book clubs, to
name a few.
As you are compiling your list of terms, here are some things that should not be indexed: authors cited
in the bibliography; illustrations, if the
book already contains a list of these; unimportant subjects (of course, this is subjective and is a matter of the indexer's perspective); incidental
names of people, topics and
places that are not mentioned beyond being used as examples.
Now, I had never
placed the
book there; I had no information about foreign rights from my former publisher with a delightful email or letter saying that rights had been sold to France, Belgium, Germany or anything connected with the UK —
in fact, I never got a dime from the publisher for any foreign right sales (typically an author would get 50 %)... but golly, here my
book was with a new cover, the same title and yes, my
name was clearly on the cover and available
in those countries.
