You know, I started to make these, with intentions
of using
bananas in
place of the grated apple / apple sauce and fresh blueberries
for the chunks
of apple.
For instance, tofu, apple sauce, commercial egg substitutes, and
bananas can often be used in
place of eggs.
I only had two
bananas so I used fresh pineapple to make up
for the third, quinoa in
place of millet (as someone else here suggested) and
for the flour I used white flour and oat bran.
Here's what I changed: I used a 15 - oz can
of pumpkin (not pie filling — just pumpkin puree) in
place of the
bananas; I swapped out the spices
for about 1 tsp each
of cinnamon and ginger, and mixed those in with the pumpkin first; I opted
for the larger volume
of maple syrup from the original recipe, as the pumpkin wouldn't contribute sweetness the way the
bananas do; I baked the batter as a dozen standard muffins, which took about 20 minutes at 350.
If you're still wondering what to do with almond flour, I wouldn't be opposed to making chocolate hazelnut shortbread with almond flour in
place of the hazelnut flour or substitute some almond flour
for whole wheat flour in
banana bread, not opposed at all.
The plus side is that there is a specific law set in
place for those who do things like letting there
bananas sit there to get ot the point
of mushy ripening.

of soy yogurt to the bowl and lessen the amount
of milk and
place sliced
bananas and blue berries, my kids, hubby and myself devour them every time.
I separated a bunch
of ripe
bananas that were perfect
for eating, but too firm to bake with, and
placed them on a parchment - lined baking sheet in a 300 °F oven.
For the yellow nice cream:
Place half
of the frozen

Being inspired by a recipe I saw
for no bake cookies that used a
banana in
place of butter, I decided to try my hand at creating a healthier version
of our family recipe.
Place unpeeled
bananas on a foil covered baking pan and roast
for 20 - 25 minutes, depending on ripeness
of the
