Amaranth that has been cooked and then chilled can also be used in
place of cornstarch as a thickening agent for soups, jellies or sauces.
Ingredients: 3 eggs 1 cup brown sugar 1/4 cup canola oil 1/3 cup unsweetened applesauce 2 cups fresh grated zucchini 3/4 cup tapioca flour 3/4 cup white rice flour 3/4 cup sorghum flour 3/4 cup arrowroot powder (in
place of cornstarch) 1/2 tsp.
Corn - free: In
place of cornstarch, I bet you could use potato starch or arrowroot.
Try using potato starch in
place of cornstarch, and crushed baked potato chips (they're not greasy like traditional fried potato chips; I like Lay's brand) in place of the cornflakes.
Make corn - free: In
place of cornstarch, try using my gum - free gluten free flour blend or tapioca starch / flour.
If you're freezing your leftovers, opt for arrowroot in
place of cornstarch, as it holds up better in the freezer.
