I prefer using vinillin sugar in
place of vanilla so I adjusted the milk from 2 tsps to 4 tsps (I added another 2 tsps later on because it felt a little dry)

but I only had frozen pineapple on hand today
so I used that in
place of strawberries and instead
of vanilla 1/4 tsp each
of rum and coconut extracts to make pina colada flavor!
Fab flavour combos, orange white choc and cranberry always go great together — I also used raw honey in
place of agave as I believe its a more natural, unrefined sweetner (agave isnt as innocent as you might think — read up about it) As for those
of you who wanted to know about the white choc chips, well I avoid all dairy and refined sugars
so I simply made my own, its dead easy — simply combine pure raw cacao butter (gently melted) with a pinch
of celtic salt, a little extract
of vanilla and some raw cashew butter, then freeze in a suitable container before breaking into chunks!!!!! yummy You can make dark chocolate chips even easier by melting pure coconut oil and stirring in a little
vanilla, honey and raw cacao powder before freezing!!!
Silk's plain and
vanilla almond and soy yogurts are both low in sugar,
so it's a good option in
place of dairy if you want a vegan option.
It does add a subtle
vanilla essence that's not present in the original recipe —
so it you want it to taste more «authentic» you can use an unflavored protein powder like The Protein Chef Baking Protein by Labrada Nutrition, or just use three - quarter cup all - purpose flour, oat flour, spelt flour, or gluten - free baking blend in
place of the protein (you can also use half a cup
of the aforementioned flours in
place of the coconut flour).
