Coomb's Family Maple Sugar is always just right, perfectly scoopable, and has an amazing maple flavor that works
in place of white sugar in all recipes.
Use sucanat for brown sugar and honey granules in
place of white sugar.
In
place of white sugar, I used coconut palm sugar.
Tastes pretty darn close to the classic bu without all that butter, and with maple syrup in
place of the white sugar.
In
place of white sugar I used my new «go to» sweetener, coconut palm sugar, but brown sugar could be used also.
For the sweetener, I thought a light Muscavado brown sugar would be nice alongside the apples - in
place of white sugar.
This recipe uses upgraded ingredients with more nutrients: almond flour instead of refined grains, honey in
place of white sugar, coconut oil over butter or vegetable oil, and dark chocolate chips.
Maple syrup can even help with digestion and weight problems if eaten in
place of white sugar.
Besides doubling all of the rub ingredients to accommodate the larger piece of pork belly, I made a few substitutions in the Saveur recipe: I used dark muscovado sugar in
place of white sugar, I used a mix of four peppercorns including pink peppercorns, and I used dried sage instead of dried rosemary.
I'm regularly using turbinado now in
place of white sugar.
