I've got 3 overripe bananas in the fruit bowl and we are tired of
plain banana bread.
I love
plain banana bread, but the addition of melty, rich chocolate seriously takes it out of this world.
This vegan chocolate banana bread is similar to
my plain banana bread, the first recipe I ever posted!

SO many
banana bread recipes rely heavily on too much white sugar and
plain oil, which add nothing special.
Mine were a little on the
plain side because I didn't have enough chocolate chips, but if you follow the recipe exactly and you love
banana bread, then you won't be disappointed with these!
In addition to using a low calorie sweetener, I also replaced some of the oil in this
banana bread with
plain nonfat Greek yogurt, and used my favorite white whole wheat flour instead of traditional white.
I always add something to my
banana bread because I don't really like it
plain.
I decided to use a combination of
plain / all - purpose flour and oat flour for this healthy sugar free rhubarb
banana bread.
FOR THE
BREAD 1 cup all - purpose flour 1 cup whole wheat flour 1 teaspoon baking powder 1 teaspoon baking soda 2 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice (or go up to a tablespoon if you really want it spiced) 1/2 teaspoon salt 1 very ripe medium
banana, mashed with a fork 1/2 cup pumpkin puree 1/2 cup light brown sugar 1/2 cup
plain nonfat Greek yogurt 2 eggs 1/4 cup canola oil 1 teaspoon vanilla
1 c of Quinoa Flour (you can use another other type of gluten free flour that you have on hand) 1 c of Teff flour 3/4 c of sugar 3/4 tsp of baking soda 1/2 tsp of salt 3 tsp of ground cinnamon 4 overripe
bananas 1/4 c of Chobani non fat
plain yogurt (you can use 2 % as well) 2 eggs 6 tbl of melted I can't believe it's not butter (or regular butter) 1.5 tsp of vanilla extract Optional: Top the
bread with your favorite nut (I used about 1/3 c)
french toast 1 ripe, 8 - inch
banana (about 2/3 cup mashed) 1/2 cup
plain plant milk (I used soy) 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 4 thick slices of sturdy
bread (such as whole grain sourdough)
Like, I actually find myself incapable of making «
plain»
banana / zucchini
bread like a normal human and insist on garam - masala - ing or allspicing everything.
That meant that, if I just used a dairy - free
plain yogurt, this entire gluten free
banana bread recipe would be safe for my dairy - free daughter.

banana base with added chocolate and then you «swirl» into the
plain banana base.
