Watch out for standing pools of water
in birdbaths, old tires, or
saucers under your potted
plants.

I prefer to just place a plastic
saucer in the bottom of the crock, and drop
in a potted
plant.
Excess water will collect
in the
saucer when you water, until the
plant needs it... much easier to change out
plants, or take them outdoors for a rain shower:) Great post, as always!!
Plant saucers will help but they should be emptied after watering so that your
plants are not sitting
in water.
Place a
plant saucer in the middle of it and turn it into a unique bird bath.
