The metallic back looks and feels nice, and the metal panel gives way to
a plastic bumper section at the top and bottom, which will be more durable in the event of a fall.

The front
bumper no longer presents a monolithic
plastic face to the world, but now features an inset
section dressed up with a chrome bar.
Outside, the protective
section at the base of the rear
bumper is a little large for my liking, especially with some lighter paint schemes that only emphasise the large swathe of dark grey
plastic.
At the rear, the CrossPolo continues the rugged all - terrain look in the
bumper, whose lower
section is also designed in a black, rugged
plastic.
Ample
plastic cladding has been used on the lower
sections of the
bumper with brushed aluminum bits here and there.
The front and rear
plastic bumpers took a beating on the rock
section, and while it did great in the mud hole at the start of the event, it was all downhill from there.
