I disagree.A wingback can be viewed as a defensive winger.Whether the Ox likes it or not he's been blessed with the qualities of a winger. To me that's his best position. He's only doing well as a wingback because of his attacking abilities. As I said earlier a wingback can be viewed as a sort of defensive winger. That's why CB's who are used as RB or LB can not
play wingback.Wingback needs the player to be able to adapt himself like a winger while also being solid defensively.Ox has the attacking part but not the defensive part. With Bellerin we have the best of both worlds. He can attack, defend and also has the speed necessary to
play wingback.I fear Ox being
played at wingback will cost us when we
play teams with tricky wingers. He should
rather be challenging Sanchez or Ozil for their
positions and not wingback. The guy hates to always have to defend which
in truth he can't.
So Wenger bought an 16 year old Chamberlain from Southampton for a higher value and kept on trying and trying

In the midfield, (including RWB & LWB) we have a whole bunch of tweeners... none offer the full package, none make sense in our manager's current favourite formation, except for Sead on the left and Ox on the right, and all of them have never shown any consistency for more than a heartbeat... Sead, who I'm including in this category because of our present formation, looks like a positive addition, minus his occasional brain farts, but I would rather see what he could do in a back 4 before making my mind up... Ox, who has never played better, which isn't saying much considering his largely underwhelming play in previous seasons, seems to have found a home in this new formation; unfortunately, can we really expect this oft - injured player to handle the taxing duties that come with said position over the long haul, not to mention, it looks like he has no intention of staying... Ramsey has relied on the empathy that stems from his gruesome injury years ago and the excitement that was generated a few years back when he finally seemed to put in altogether, but on the whole he has been a big disappointment (neither he nor the Ox have scored enough to warrant a regular spot)... Wiltshire should be put on a weekly contract then played until he suffers his first injury, if and when that occurs he should be shipped - out and no one should very be allowed to say his name on club grounds ever again... Elnehy & Coq are average players who couldn't make any of the top 7 teams currently in the EPL... both have showed some great energy on the pitch, but neither are top quality and no good team can afford to have that many average players on their bench playing the same position, especially with Coq's injury history / discipline concerns and Elheny's headless chicken tendencies... as for Xhaka, his tenure here so far has been incredibly underwhelming... we know he has some skills to provide the long ball but his defensive work is piss poor and he gives the ball away too cheaply and far too often... finally, the enigma himself, Ozil, so much skill with his left foot but his presence has been more frustrating than uplifting... in many respects his failure has been directly related to the failure of this club to provide him with the necessary players up front, minus Sanchez of course, and unless something drastic happens very soon his legacy will be largely a negative one (much like Wenger'

When this happens, we become deficient
in other areas like we saw
in the community cup where the Ox was
played on the left
rather than his usual RWB
position.
But wenger has also got to
play the everyone
in the right
positions, like ozil should be
played in his preferred central role
rather than on the left wing where he is relatively ineffective, hopefully he will be once walcott is back.
By
playing defensive minded players
in these
positions rather than attack minded ones has caused Arsenal to invite too many mistakes
in their own backyard leading to them getting punished severely this season.
I'd like to see them all stay, Wenger go and see how they get on,
in my mind we'd see an improvement simply because they might be
played in their best
positions rather than shoe horning
in like Wenger seems to do, Ramsey on the left for example.
the likes of neista David Silva our own ozil they don't defend but
rather tack back to slot
in the defensive line for the real defenders to do their job.have u all take note that ozil don't normally jump for headers
in the heart of the midfield.so all I'm saying is if Chamberlain do nt want to defend yo make that
position his then he should trying
playing in the attacking
position as he did excel there when he was
played against Bayern last year or he is out from arsenal.
Wilshere has a chance as well, although by Southgate's own criteria he not only needs to be
playing for Arsenal, but
playing in the
position Southgate wants to
play him:
in the deep midfield,
rather than the forward role Arsene Wenger has mostly set aside for him this season
in the cup competitions.
Our progress has been
rather slow
in getting into
position to win the league, my 2 pet peeve with Wenger is his favoritism
in playing some players (his british core) even when there are better alternatives there
in the squad and the second one is our preparation for the second part of the season, I would love to see him try something different buy two positive signings
in january to freshen the squad for the run
in to MAy.
Wengers tactics are wack he
plays cam players out of
position rather than benching and
playing them
in their
position.
Don't forget that this year's draft picks would have also had Kyle's input
in terms of who he wanted and needed,
rather than two guys at
positions of need (G and TE) who never
played.
I'd
rather a young striker who can
play in all the forward
positions..
When put
in your preferred
position you've been a liability and hardly efficient
in the last 3rd so you would forgive the club if they
rather play specialists.
Our manager seems to like to buy players that are multifunctional
rather than a set
position in the team which can dilute their talents when
played out of
position.
The Ox was never going to be able to do what Ozil does for Arsenal because he is a different type of player altogether, and even when he has
played in the centre of midfield for us instead of on one of the flanks it has been
in the box - to - box role
rather than the number 10
position.
As for Chambers, as much as I love his versatility I would
rather for his 1st season especially we
play him
in a more specialized
position (be it RB / CB / or DM).
naa... i'd
rather campbell
play the 90 because this is his chance to stake a (legitimate) claim on his
position in the team, and it couldnt have come at a better time and opposition
I would assume that, if the answer to the title is the France international star Olivier Giroud, then Arsenal fans will still get to see our flying England forward Theo Walcott as well, probably right from the kick off, but he would be
playing in one of the wide forward
positions rather than the centre forward role he took up against Chelsea at Wembley last weekend.
Stupidly rigid 70th minute subs,
rather than as the game warrants; ludicrous
playing of players
in wrong
positions, for which he is notorious; catastrophic ingnorance of the vital need for attack / defence BALANCE, with never two fullbacks up at same time; inability to motivate players to fight, inability to keep them fit, stupid loyalty to long term hospital cases like Diaby and much more besides, too long to list on here.
As it stands, this squad is fairly well
positioned to compete for the Wenger Cup and make a deep run
in the Europa, if and only if we
play first stringers
in Europe and use the bench for the League and FA Cups... that being said, and based on the fragility of the manager and the team
in recent campaigns, it's more likely that Wenger will focus on a top 4 finish and the FA Cup... while the reasons for such an approach may appear logical, it would confirm a
rather disturbing trend and appear counter intuitive for any team which claims to have higher aspirations... I feel that Wenger simply can't afford to put all his eggs
in the Europa basket because if he fails the potential backlash could cripple any top 4 chances due to the aforementioned fragile psyche that tends to rear it's ugly head like our own personal groundhog day each and every February... furthermore, can you even imagine Wenger bringing
in the necessary recruits to adequately supply top quality lineups
in a Thursday / Sunday dominated schedule; based on everything I've seen
in recent years, I can't see that happening...
in fact, mark my words, it's more likely that we see Lacazette
playing out wide
in Alexis's
position with Giroud at striker, than we see Wenger make the necessary moves to right this ship... god, I hope I'm wrong but is it really that far - fetched considering what we've witnessed for past several years
Apart from Alexis no other players have hit consistent top form yet and when they do we will improve, just hope it's sooner
rather than later and our great manager
plays players
in the correct
positions.
In fact he would
rather play Ramsey out of
position than use Campbell.
Ainsley has done nothing to deserve this promotion except his willingness to
play out of
position, which is a Wenger wet dream, unfortunately it will ultimately erode his skills and confidence
in the end... I'd
rather be above average
in one
position than sub-par
in three or four... on the bright side it's like a «new» signing... maybe he can replace Sanchez
Time for some brutal honesty... this team, as it stands, is
in no better
position to compete next season than they were 12 months ago, minus the fact that some fans have been easily snowed by the acquisition of Lacazette, the free transfer LB and the release of Sanogo... if you look at the facts carefully you will see a team that still has far more questions than answers... to better show what I mean by this statement I will briefly discuss the current state of affairs on a
position - by -
position basis...
in goal we have 4 potential candidates, but
in reality we have only 1 option with any real future and somehow he's the only one we have actively tried to get rid of for years because he and his father were a little too involved on social media and he got caught smoking (funny how people still defend Wiltshire under the same and far worse circumstances)... you would think we would want to keep any goaltender that Juventus had interest
in, as they seem to have a pretty good history when it comes to that
position... as far as the defenders on our current roster there are only a few individuals whom have the skill and / or youth worthy of our time and / or investment, as such we should get rid of anyone who doesn't meet those simple requirements, which means we should get rid of DeBouchy, Gibbs, Gabriel, Mertz and loan out Chambers to see if last seasons foray with Middlesborough was an anomaly or a prediction of things to come... some fans have lamented wildly about the return of Mertz to the starting lineup due to his FA Cup performance but these sort of pie
in the sky meanderings are indicative of what's wrong with this club and it's wishy - washy fan - base...
in addition to these moves the club should aggressively pursue the acquisition of dominant and mobile CB to stabilize an all too fragile defensive group that has self - destructed on numerous occasions over the past 5 seasons... moving forward and building on our need to re-establish our once dominant presence throughout the middle of the park we need to target a CDM then do whatever it takes to get that player into the fold without any of the usual nickel and diming we have become famous for (this kind of ruthless haggling has cost us numerous special players and certainly can't help make the player
in question feel good about the way their future potential employer feels about them)...
in order for us to become dominant again we need to be strong up the middle again from Goalkeeper to CB to DM to ACM to striker, like we did
in our most glorious years before and during Wenger's reign... with this
in mind, if we want Ozil to be that dominant attacking midfielder we can't keep leaving him exposed to constant ridicule about his lack of defensive prowess and provide him with the proper players
in the final third... he was never a good defensive player
in Real or with the German National squad and they certainly didn't suffer as a result of his presence on the pitch... as for the rest of the midfield the blame falls squarely
in the hands of Wenger and Gazidis, the fact that Ramsey, Ox, Sanchez and even Ozil were allowed to regularly start when none of the aforementioned had more than a year left under contract is criminal for a club of this size and financial might... the fact that we could find money for Walcott and Xhaka, who weren't even guaranteed starters, means that our whole business model needs a complete overhaul... for me it's time to get rid of some serious deadweight, even if it means selling them below what you believe their market value is just to simply right this ship and change the stagnant culture that currently exists... this means saying goodbye to Wiltshire, Elneny, Carzola, Walcott and Ramsey... everyone, minus Elneny, have spent just as much time on the training table as on the field of
play, which would be manageable if they weren't so inconsistent from a performance standpoint (excluding Carzola, who is like the recent version of Rosicky — too bad, both will be deeply missed)...
in their places we need to bring
in some proven performers with no history of injuries... up front, although I do like the possibilities that a player like Lacazette presents, the fact that we had to wait so many years to acquire some true quality at the striker
position falls once again squarely at the feet of Wenger... this issue highlights the ultimate scam being perpetrated by this club since the arrival of Kroenke: pretend your a small market club when it comes to making purchases but milk your fans like a big market club when it comes to ticket prices and merchandising... I believe the reason why Wenger hasn't pursued someone of Henry's quality, minus a fairly inexpensive RVP, was that he knew that they would demand players of a similar ilk to be brought on board and that wasn't possible when the business model was that of a «selling» club... does it really make sense that we could only make a cheeky bid for Suarez, or that we couldn't get Higuain over the line when he was being offered up for half the price he eventually went to Juve for, or that we've only paid any interest to strikers who were clearly not going to press their current teams to let them go to Arsenal like Benzema or Cavani... just part of the facade that finally came crashing down when Sanchez finally called their bluff... the fact remains that no one wants to win more than Sanchez, including Wenger, and although I don't agree with everything that he has done off the field, I would much
rather have Alexis front and center than a manager who has clearly bought into the Kroenke model
in large part due to the fact that his enormous ego suggests that only he could accomplish great things without breaking the bank... unfortunately that isn't possible anymore as the game has changed quite dramatically
in the last 15 years, which has left a largely complacent and complicit Wenger on the outside looking
in... so don't blame those players who demanded more and were left wanting... don't blame those fans who have tried desperately to raise awareness for several years when cracks began to appear... place the blame at the feet of those who were well aware all along of the potential pitfalls of just such a plan but continued to follow it even when it was no longer a financial necessity, like it ever really was...
We might still even make the top 4 with that squad, could certainly be top 8 if we
play well and have some reasonable strategies
rather than AW's recent craziness
in team selection /
positions, (maybe even especially if we don't have CL or even any European football the following season), have an effective transfer season next summer, and make a serious badass run at the title for the next few years from 2018 - 19 plus.
This is the one player I feel sorry for
in the Arsena teaml.Just because he's defensively solid doesn't mean he'll be solid being
played out of
position. The guy is not a RB, RWB and CB.He's a CM for crying out loud.I wonder if he's ever
played RB, RWB or CB for the academy. Most times when I watch him he's either a CM or a winger.I just don't get this bizarre roles he's being given
in the team. It's killing his confidence.Wenger must stop treating him this way. It's preseason so I thought he'd
rather get the chance to at least
play in his favourite
position.
Actually Elneny made a career mistake rejecting Leicester who would've made him a regular and this is when he will evolve as a player
rather than
playing scared like he is now too worried where he'll be next week on the other hand Shakespeare of Leicester knows too well that Elneny can grow to a serious beast
in this
position that's why he went for him and believe will try again

I'd much
rather secure our LB core
in the first round with a solid fixture than a RB, QB, CB, or any player where we have to teach them the

I would
rather have a team of those type players who scrap for 90 + mins and don't b*tch about being
played out of
position than some of the prima donna so called «world class» pussies plying their trade
in the EPL and some of the top leagues on the continent.
I have said Ox had a better chance to
play his desired
position at arsenal than any team
in the top six, his skill set fits a wide player, his notion of being like his idol Steven Gerard is
rather non-sensical and leaving the pampered world of arsenal, shall only widen his eyes to the reality of cut - throat real world.
With Memphis left, Mata right and Martial moved into a more central attacking
position, the Belgian would be instructed to
play in a similar fashion to how he has done for Everton over the past three seasons, pulling wide (to bring Mata
rather than Steven Naismith or Arouna Kone into the middle) and running forward to
play as the partner to the Frenchman.
Coutinho and Sterling

We now appear to have a manager who has grasped the principal that players need to be
played in positions where they are comfortable,
rather than shuffling the same 11 players around the field
in a vain hope that they will eventually click into place.
Ade for the most part
played with players who themselves would

position?)
I would go as far as saying that the modern game is becoming more specialised and that useful versatility is largely limited to subtle variations
in deployment
rather playing in totally different
positions.

in enabling a new, sustainable generation of nuclear power.
We know very little about Luke other than that he comes from a rough background and doesn't like to
play by the rules; by the end of the movie, alienation seems to be his actual goal
rather than a result of his circumstances, and despite the number of times (too many) that Rosenberg

Of course, at this stage
in any relationship, there comes the inevitable power struggle, only
in this relationship it was more about

rather than creating joint bank accounts and whether or not it's still ok to
play football on a Sunday.
At the same time, we shared a concern that most U.S. investors are poorly

Re-shuffling of tiles is not allowed during a level
in such circumstances as running out of possible tile pairings, although tiles automatically re-shuffle at the start of each level you have already

positioning of the tiles; therefore freshening up the gameplay even further,
rather than just being about memorising the
positioning of the matching tiles by parrot fashion.
They've made an offer we'd be mad to refuse, but now they need to build on this foundation with an emphatic E3 showing; demonstrating big new games to shout about (new Zelda or GTFO), give us new details on the likes of X (Monolith Soft are absolute legends and we desperately need more info - otherwise I'm flying out to Japan and making a scene) and cement their
position; demonstrating that a great impulse buy won't just gather dust after
playing Mario Kart 8 to death,
rather becoming an investment
in future gaming pleasure.
