Wengers method
of bluffing the board & fans to keep him for a further
season... > We loose enough
games to take us completely off winning the league, then say it wasn't in our control, we then fight till the end and win
last few games so we look good and like we worked hard to earn the 4th place trophy. He then links us with awesome transfers (which we all know wont happen), and finally while Man U / City and Chelsea organise pre-
season friendlies against top clubs, we
play the weak ones, win and look all good to go next
season without any additions... AND THEN REALITY STRIKES..
Our first league
game of the
season, at home to West Ham, may look like a nailed on three points, especially with the way we have been
playing over the
last few weeks, but the Hammers are already into competitive
games in the Europa League and we could find that their fitness levels are higher, so we will need to be ready for a tough
game.
Here's a
few things to remind you why it's silly: The Rangers won 10
games in a row
last year, there were two week stretches
of last season where the Angels were better than the Astros, the Angels have yet to
play a serious contender, as already stated the Reds were 1st in the NL Central to start the
season, the Brewers were in first until a little bit after the all start break (if I remember correctly), literally thousands
of other examples
of teams starting hot and then finishing outside
of the playoffs.

of your performance
last season, its the
last few games that should determine if you should
play or not, until someone else has a bad run.
He's only
played in a
few big
games, and he's never stood out as anything special, nor has he against more mediocre PL teams; the only matches that stand out to me for Arsenal are the WBA
game at the end
of last season and a
game against Sunderland and in both cases, the opposition really didn't look up for it.
From the
last few games of last season, and during preseason, it seems Wenger is finally ready to grant Walcott his wish
of playing through the middle.
A
few more
games and he will be back to
last seasons level
of not standing out in a
game, but breaking up the
play very well..
It's funny how he said we are better than Liverpool overrall forgetting that in terms
of players we were still better than them
last season yet the beat us home and away.Liverpool team is not so good yet out
of all the top four team they're the ones who
play their hearts out. That's why Liverpool didn't lose a single
game to a top four team
last season though on paper they should have.As for Tottenham if you look at their team they just need a
few more signings and consistency so I don't know what's the big deal about them. The painful this is they could've won the league if not for draws. It was a disgrace for any
of those two to finish over us
last season because on paper it shouldn't be so.This should tell you that it's not all about the team you have. Some it's about luck, sometimes it's about giving your best and sometimes it's just meant to be.

games for Man United
last season, with quite a
few of them as sub and that he was not in the centre forward position which he is likely to take for Arsenal.
i know we are siting 5th in the EPL and no chance
of the title but i'm loving the way we
play this
season (apart from the Liverpool
game which i blame OX for and bad
game with watford) past
few seasons we
played really bad specially
last season it was frustrating but it sesames we are slowly finding our feet and
playing some really exiting football like we use to,

few games he
played for them towards the end
of last season.

season with 19 goals and
played fewer games in the
last quarter

season.
this window has just finished i am already thinking about who we will get for the january window we might try for khedira on a really low offer as he is free agent almost would help boost numbers in midfield in the new year as we will no doubt need to filling the numbers about then also i will hold my hands up and say i was wrong this morning for giving wenger stick and saying welbeck is rubbish i have been out in the cold light
of day and had a chance to reevaluate the situation and realized that this could be a canny shrew transfer on wenger behalf actually if wenger can turn the clock back and work his magic on welbeck and get him scoring goals and improve his
game then we could have a great underrated signing on our hands its wengers absolute trust in him that might be what makes him a great player as this is something that he never had at old mordor if anybody can make him a world beater wenger can he loves this little pet projects improving players against the odds welbeck has the skillset to be high class player upfornt he just needs to work very hard on his finishing i think once he gets a
few goals under his belt he will settle in fine and he is a team player you could put him on the left against man city to shore up that side and he will put in a great shift without a complaint that could be his biggest asset to us or on the right whenever we need him there ithinkwenger might start himon the left against city to protect the left back against navas and i bet you if he does a great job we will take a shine to him quickly i am hopeing he will be one
of those wenger gems that he finds and polishes up to a high finish i must admit i was annoyed as some other gunners were at not signing d / m and c / h but if wenger does win the league with this lot it will be his greatest win yet and what might
play in to our hands is the unpredictable nature
of the league in the
last few seasons if we get on a good run at the right time we might be hard to stop look at city they should have never lost to stoke but the result is there in black and white for all to see and i think chelsea will hit the skids after a while to just because cesc and costa are doing well now thats there main threat but teams will work out how to stop them as the
season goes on and chelsea will become predictable i think we might just do well this
season after all
We should pick up 3points but considering the way we are
playing, injuries and thinking we should be clear at the top

of last weeks defeat and our
last few games i do nt see us as contenders this
season... its a fight for 3rd again for automatic spot i group stage
of CL.
Walcot has over 100 goals for arsenal fc, i don't think there is any English wiger currently
playing top flight football that has scored more goals, the change in formation might not have done him any good, buh for d fact that dude is our 2nd top scorer despite
playing fewer games and considering that dude was our 2nd top scorer
last season shows his importance to this club, since it's obvious he has lost d love
of d fans who prefers a flamboyant buh less effective player I think he should go to where he will be more valued, i love theo, very cool headed and very hardworking, his records r there for all to c
He
played his first
few games for Arsenal as a right - back but he was soon usurped by the improving Hector Bellerin, and he was then being used as a centre - back, and

of cup
games.
I very much doubt that Real would pursue Sanchez unless they were contemplating moving Bale, planning to
play Ronaldo centrally this
season and willing to upset their delicate wage structure...
of course anything is possible, but this appears to be unlikely... the bigger question is the fact that Wenger was willing to risk losing the first
few games of the
season because he hasn't settled the Sanchez dilemma in a timely fashion... no one believes he was too injured to
play so this is not too dissimilar from the Liverpool
game last season, except for the fact that Sanchez was in street clothes and not in his warm - ups (much like Coutinho for Liverpool today)... we're existing in such a fragile environment because
of Wenger and Kroenke... in the
game yesterday, when Leicester scored to make it 3 - 2, you could cut the tension with a knife... can you imagine just for a second what the reaction might have been if we had failed to score in the
last 10 minutes
There is a lot
of encouragements guys - if we
play the remain league
games with that kind

of the
season.
Last nights performance by Arsenal was a replica
of the
game we

Now I think there is still reasons to be cheerful, I agree Man C & Chelski have spent & bought some good players, we all understand that 5
of those teams might be in the CL proper which is a huge distraction for those 4 - 5 teams.Chelsea will not be able to field the same 13 - 14 players all
season, as for Man C they were very frail at the back
last season, add to that 2 flying wing backs and I'm not sure they will be any better this coming
season.LFC will most probably have CL as well if they qualify and haven't exactly bought great players apart from Salah who could be a good aquasistion for them.Spuds have sold a good player & strengthened a rival & still not bought a single player yet, Man U have bought 2 good players & in Lukaku have a proven goal scorer in the PL but if they
play the same dour way they did
last season & with the added
games the CL brings will they perform week in week out in the league??? As for Everton yes they have released a lot
of players and also brought in a lot too to give better quality in the squad as they have Europa league the same as US the big difference is I think we will
play squad players & youngsters maybe with a
few senior players all the way up to the QF This tells me most
of our rivals will pave the way for us to field pretty much the same side every weekend in the PL thus giving us an advantage over all the other 5 teams
playing in the CL & Europa, just remember the League has been won in the
last 2
seasons by teams NOT in Europe YES we are this
season but I think Wenger will put all his eggs in the League basket and field an under strength side in all comps hence focusing on the League until we are no longer in the race.
Arsenal
game play would suit this type
of player, He would also act a a target man for us and feed the ball to our players, He as done very well with villa over
last few seasons and villa have struggled as we all know, With a much better class
of players around him he really could be a real star, Also he is a Arsenal fan!!!!!!
The experienced former Arsenal and Manchester City man
played a number
of games for Brendan Rodgers» side
last season, but made a
few crucial errors and is likely to have been pushed back in the pecking order for a place in the Liverpool defence by the arrival
of # 20m man Dejan Lovren from Southampton.
The
last few games Giroud started we won or drew but they were struggles and we
played poor and although that is not all on Giroud it was very much Arsenal
of last season when we ended up with 71 points.
Time for some brutal honesty... this team, as it stands, is in no better position to compete next
season than they were 12 months ago, minus the fact that some fans have been easily snowed by the acquisition
of Lacazette, the free transfer LB and the release
of Sanogo... if you look at the facts carefully you will see a team that still has far more questions than answers... to better show what I mean by this statement I will briefly discuss the current state
of affairs on a position - by - position basis... in goal we have 4 potential candidates, but in reality we have only 1 option with any real future and somehow he's the only one we have actively tried to get rid
of for years because he and his father were a little too involved on social media and he got caught smoking (funny how people still defend Wiltshire under the same and far worse circumstances)... you would think we would want to keep any goaltender that Juventus had interest in, as they seem to have a pretty good history when it comes to that position... as far as the defenders on our current roster there are only a
few individuals whom have the skill and / or youth worthy
of our time and / or investment, as such we should get rid
of anyone who doesn't meet those simple requirements, which means we should get rid
of DeBouchy, Gibbs, Gabriel, Mertz and loan out Chambers to see if
last seasons foray with Middlesborough was an anomaly or a prediction
of things to come... some fans have lamented wildly about the return
of Mertz to the starting lineup due to his FA Cup performance but these sort
of pie in the sky meanderings are indicative
of what's wrong with this club and it's wishy - washy fan - base... in addition to these moves the club should aggressively pursue the acquisition
of dominant and mobile CB to stabilize an all too fragile defensive group that has self - destructed on numerous occasions over the past 5
seasons... moving forward and building on our need to re-establish our once dominant presence throughout the middle
of the park we need to target a CDM then do whatever it takes to get that player into the fold without any
of the usual nickel and diming we have become famous for (this kind
of ruthless haggling has cost us numerous special players and certainly can't help make the player in question feel good about the way their future potential employer feels about them)... in order for us to become dominant again we need to be strong up the middle again from Goalkeeper to CB to DM to ACM to striker, like we did in our most glorious years before and during Wenger's reign... with this in mind, if we want Ozil to be that dominant attacking midfielder we can't keep leaving him exposed to constant ridicule about his lack
of defensive prowess and provide him with the proper players in the final third... he was never a good defensive player in Real or with the German National squad and they certainly didn't suffer as a result
of his presence on the pitch... as for the rest
of the midfield the blame falls squarely in the hands
of Wenger and Gazidis, the fact that Ramsey, Ox, Sanchez and even Ozil were allowed to regularly start when none
of the aforementioned had more than a year left under contract is criminal for a club
of this size and financial might... the fact that we could find money for Walcott and Xhaka, who weren't even guaranteed starters, means that our whole business model needs a complete overhaul... for me it's time to get rid
of some serious deadweight, even if it means selling them below what you believe their market value is just to simply right this ship and change the stagnant culture that currently exists... this means saying goodbye to Wiltshire, Elneny, Carzola, Walcott and Ramsey... everyone, minus Elneny, have spent just as much time on the training table as on the field
of play, which would be manageable if they weren't so inconsistent from a performance standpoint (excluding Carzola, who is like the recent version
of Rosicky — too bad, both will be deeply missed)... in their places we need to bring in some proven performers with no history
of injuries... up front, although I do like the possibilities that a player like Lacazette presents, the fact that we had to wait so many years to acquire some true quality at the striker position falls once again squarely at the feet
of Wenger... this issue highlights the ultimate scam being perpetrated by this club since the arrival
of Kroenke: pretend your a small market club when it comes to making purchases but milk your fans like a big market club when it comes to ticket prices and merchandising... I believe the reason why Wenger hasn't pursued someone
of Henry's quality, minus a fairly inexpensive RVP, was that he knew that they would demand players
of a similar ilk to be brought on board and that wasn't possible when the business model was that
of a «selling» club... does it really make sense that we could only make a cheeky bid for Suarez, or that we couldn't get Higuain over the line when he was being offered up for half the price he eventually went to Juve for, or that we've only paid any interest to strikers who were clearly not going to press their current teams to let them go to Arsenal like Benzema or Cavani... just part
of the facade that finally came crashing down when Sanchez finally called their bluff... the fact remains that no one wants to win more than Sanchez, including Wenger, and although I don't agree with everything that he has done off the field, I would much rather have Alexis front and center than a manager who has clearly bought into the Kroenke model in large part due to the fact that his enormous ego suggests that only he could accomplish great things without breaking the bank... unfortunately that isn't possible anymore as the
game has changed quite dramatically in the
last 15 years, which has left a largely complacent and complicit Wenger on the outside looking in... so don't blame those players who demanded more and were left wanting... don't blame those fans who have tried desperately to raise awareness for several years when cracks began to appear... place the blame at the feet
of those who were well aware all along
of the potential pitfalls
of just such a plan but continued to follow it even when it was no longer a financial necessity, like it ever really was...
I think now MR wenger is not interested into obtaining another striker else he would have singed one by now there were many out field players out there that have moved clubs or in his mind there are not good enough for Arsenal In two weeks we begin our
season and liverpool looking strong and have had good
few games under there shoulder so they will be ready to give us a thumping at home watched them
play last night they did nt give space to milan and made them look really bad Mr wenger is becoming very complacent full
of himself

playing well.
The 23 - year - old has been much maligned over the
last few seasons for his supposed lack
of a positive contribution to the team's performances, but has experienced a turnaround that now has him in the position where he is undoubtedly one
of the first names on the team sheet and the decision not to
play him in Liverpool's FA Cup
game against Arsenal as an uncalculated risk.
With more than a
few big teams facing the prospect
of playing in a lower division next
season, we've decided to look around Europe's top five leagues and determine who the 10 teams are with the worst run
of form over the
last six
games are.
Eder has not got the weight
of the
last few disastrous
games on his shoulders (such as that match we
played on Wednesday which we shall not talk about) and arrives with 12 goals scored in 19 Serie A matches this
season, so he could be the man to revitalise his dispirited team - mates.
Agree totally.Supported Villa since 1961, always looking forward to the next
game,
few pints before, then roar them on, win or lose.this
season never renewed my
season ticket.Couldn't stand the football being
played last 3 years.Gone is the thrill
of watching Villa, it had like you say become a chore.Still in the blood though, always will be.Not going back until we start giving it a proper go with attacking football. Its killing me but I have to make a stand.VTID.
He has
played in three FA Cup Finals already and will have a bit to prove in the
last few games of this
season.
