Its looking like he is building a new team I support Mr wenger why sell sachez now for 40 million while his replacement will cost us 80 million we need to get players of good
quality first and then we can let go and I am sure if a club comes in with 80 million for sanchez Mr wenger will go for it savilla keep the
ball well and circulates the
ball well so many back passes to retain position they
play a shape of 3331 and very close there was no gaps and they were not afraid to dig in to our players I must admit i like their system....
While Antonio Conte will hope to see him use his physicality and technical
quality to hold up the
ball and link
play up while also bagging goals himself, Giroud was the provider on this occasion as his deft flick allowed Hazard to break free in front of goal to put Chelsea ahead.
Granted, we are all human and have our weaknesses, but for the love of the
ball why can't he strive to instil the right
quality of heart and desire and attitude that is required when
playing at this level or better yet, at all times. It's been years now!
Giroud, since he first kicked a
ball for us, has followed up great patches of goal scoring with being a complete lamppost, Walcott, Ox, are the definition of overrated, Ramsey is horrendous, Cazorla is always injured now, Ozil
plays well when he feels like it, Gabriel is not Arsenal
quality, we have no true top striker STILL since RVP left.
Sanogo was never Arsenal
quality, he is too slow and does not have the
ball control or technique to
play as a striker in this level.
He is everything you want in an Eriksen backup: excellent passing, high
quality through
balls, can
play anyhwere on midfield except DM, works very hard, shoots a lot and can even beat his man from time to time.
* We purchase a top
quality striker, Benzema, Higuain, Lacazette (choose your pic) * We give Theo a full season to prove himself up front and hopefully he can stay fit and improve with his hold up
play, his movement off the
ball and finishing has improved immensely (His finish in the FA Cup final wasn't as easy as he made it look... with his weaker foot) and we then sign Reus to
play on the right.
Wud put arteta in Xl with le coq, Ramsey, Sanchez and santi, with ozil coming on as sub or roaring with any of the others, put swap arteta with theo once his back to full match fitness (been a little off every time his
played) I always feel better wen Ramsey
plays, offers something different and aterta us just arsenal
quality, versitile and can pass the
ball don't need to argue for Sanchez le coq or santi and I think ozil will get plenty of games anyway
Lack of fire power and Arsenal
quality without
playing the
ball.
There was no problem with Holding starting. The problem was with Monreal starting. If people are saying Monreal starts over Holding this means a LB is better than a CB at LCB which is more of a disgrace to the CB.Monreal is good but he does not have the
qualities of a CB to
play there for long. He's not your stand out tackler, interceptor or
ball winner. He doesn't have the height or even the strength. He's just a solid 1v1 player but being a great CB is not all about 1v1.
Its nice to see people comment on sanogood hold up
play and runs but hell even Emile Heskey was
quality at holding the
ball up hence why he was Owen's foil for so many years for England yet how many goals was he scoring a season?
Playing in a back three significantly benefitted him, offering him protection on either side as well as a licence to move forward with the
ball and showcase his other
qualities.

quality to keep the
ball or
play on the counter-attack».
Aside from the goal though, he's been one of, if not the best, players on the pitch in the last two games, as his all - round technical
quality on the
ball is making a huge different for Fernando Santos and his men, and he looks like he is going to relish
playing a pivotal role in Guardiola's side next season and beyond.

quality players so the basis of our

play high
quality ball.
An under - appreciated great at his peak, Juan Roman Riquelme is still firing in free - kicks and
playing quality long -
balls for Argentine side Argentinos Juniors at the ripe old age of 36.
In the midfield, (including RWB & LWB) we have a whole bunch of tweeners... none offer the full package, none make sense in our manager's current favourite formation, except for Sead on the left and Ox on the right, and all of them have never shown any consistency for more than a heartbeat... Sead, who I'm including in this category because of our present formation, looks like a positive addition, minus his occasional brain farts, but I would rather see what he could do in a back 4 before making my mind up... Ox, who has never
played better, which isn't saying much considering his largely underwhelming
play in previous seasons, seems to have found a home in this new formation; unfortunately, can we really expect this oft - injured player to handle the taxing duties that come with said position over the long haul, not to mention, it looks like he has no intention of staying... Ramsey has relied on the empathy that stems from his gruesome injury years ago and the excitement that was generated a few years back when he finally seemed to put in altogether, but on the whole he has been a big disappointment (neither he nor the Ox have scored enough to warrant a regular spot)... Wiltshire should be put on a weekly contract then
played until he suffers his first injury, if and when that occurs he should be shipped - out and no one should very be allowed to say his name on club grounds ever again... Elnehy & Coq are average players who couldn't make any of the top 7 teams currently in the EPL... both have showed some great energy on the pitch, but neither are top
quality and no good team can afford to have that many average players on their bench
playing the same position, especially with Coq's injury history / discipline concerns and Elheny's headless chicken tendencies... as for Xhaka, his tenure here so far has been incredibly underwhelming... we know he has some skills to provide the long
ball but his defensive work is piss poor and he gives the
ball away too cheaply and far too often... finally, the enigma himself, Ozil, so much skill with his left foot but his presence has been more frustrating than uplifting... in many respects his failure has been directly related to the failure of this club to provide him with the necessary players up front, minus Sanchez of course, and unless something drastic happens very soon his legacy will be largely a negative one (much like Wenger's)
When I see Giroud as our main striker honestly I feel ashamed, I even wonder how he scores his goals No
ball playing qualities at all!
lst season at stamford bridge, was the first time i saw that 4 -1-4-1 formation being used, and for some weird reason i feel a very strange negative vibe and well all know the outcome.the manager has come back with this formation and its not yielding result, but he still sticks with it.i do nt know much about formations dear friends, but if you are
playing a slow dm in arteta and a very very slow cb, then you are toast against
quality teams with sound tactics.wen
playing wellbeck as a lone striker, i think 4 -2-3-1, will work better, but if we have a big player like oliver (boooos), thn we can try the 4 -1-4-1, thingy cos he can hold the
ball for our midfielders to run in.but on the overall, shame on wenger for not giving our defence a good cover DM.NO BODY
PLAYS A SLOW DM / CB AND EXPECT TO B REGARDED AS CHAMPIONSHIP MATERIAL.IT HURTS GUYS, REALLY HURTS.
Not with our vulnerable holding midfielders, we need to
play Kant's type of midfielder if we want take that risk, eleny and shaka don't retrieve
ball from opponent, they run around the field all the time, giroud has prove himself but is time we look beyond him and sign
quality players next summer
We still struggle, look shaky and uncomfortable when we come up against any team that
plays a high intensity game, teams that don't give us time on the
ball, in your face etc all give us a hard time, Watford did that in the first half but poor final 3rd
quality saved us, in the second half they were tired and knackered so we took advantage.
«The Premier League is not always about football
qualities, it is about physically, second
balls, and in that aspect the team is too weak at the moment and we have many difficulties against teams like this who
play really direct and are aggressive.
He's a bit overrated I must say.I also don't get those who are asking him to tackle well. The fact is he's not a good tackler.I fear Wenger has made him untouchable in our team such that even if he
plays badly he still starts.I mean if people are saying he's not a DM in the first place then is he also a CM?If he's a CM does he have the
quality to
play along side a DM?These are the questions we need to ask ourselves. If he's a CM then he's good at distributing from deep and also up top but he can't hold thd
ball in tight spaces or dribble which is very important. If he's a DM then he simply can't defend. That's why for us to be successful in the long term with him we need a hybrid midfielder or what I call a defensive box to box midfielder.
Welbeck and Walcott don't add the same
qualities as Sanchez and OX bring to the team when
playing wide in terms of dribbling, beating a man even passing the
ball and this is required in this level for that position.
Fans fail to see that we are blessed to have a DM like coquelin, I mean look at how solid our team has become when he plays. His defensive
qualities are what please me the most.Coquelin reads the game really well and knows exactly where an opponent is going to drop the next pass that is why you see him making so many interceptions because he reads the game well and he is not afraid to challenge for the
ball.He is also very desciplined withe
ball and passes the
ball quick enough to start a counter attack. So for me, I couldn't ask for another DM than Coquelin please let's learn to appreciate what we have.Schneiderlin, Wanyama, Kondogbia etc are highly rated because they
play for other clubs if they were
playing for Arsenal we would have branded them «average players», we would be crying for Wenger to sign «world class DMs».
xhaka keep losing
ball to opponent too bad of him, we need to sign
quality players or else my fellow gunners we won, t make top 4, Ramsey 90 min of
play why
mates its time we say hard truths and stand by them.we want arsenal to win the title not arsen so spending is not an issue.this season we hve seen how our squad is of average
quality only three or four world class players.is wenger the man to take us the next level.someone who drops joel and picks Walcott who is currently
playing like an amateur.our midfield is shocking we keep passing the
ball backwards till we concede is when we st art shifting gears.we need more urgency from both the players and manager.play the same way everyweek and expect a win.its time arsenal moves on we need new man at the helm to lead the club.
Schneiderlin simply represents the type of DM we're targeting (all the defensive acumen but with the
ball playing quality).
He brings that experience, reads the game really well, breaks up
play and everyone knows what
quality he has on the
ball.
While I am no manager, I'd seek a strong defensive midfielder in the summer to partner Wilshere or Rambo, replace Cech with a
ball playing goalkeeper of significant
quality and consider replacing Bellerin on the right of our defence.
This is an incredibly difficult question to answer for a variety of reasons, most importantly because over the years our once vaunted «beautiful» style of
play has become a shadow of it's former self, only to be replaced by a less than stellar «plug and
play» mentality where players
play out of position and adjustments / substitutions are rarely forthcoming before the 75th minute... if you look at our current players, very few would make sense in the traditional Wengerian system... at present, we don't have the personnel to move the
ball quickly from deep - lying position, efficient one touch midfielders that can make the necessary through
balls or the disciplined and pacey forwards to stretch defences into wide positions, without the aid of the backs coming up into the final 3rd, so that we can attack the defensive lanes in the same clinical fashion we did years ago... on this current squad, we have only 1 central defender on staf, Mustafi, who seems to have any prowess in the offensive zone or who can even pass two zones through so that we can advance
play quickly out of our own end (I have seen some inklings that suggest Holding might have some offensive
qualities but too early to tell)... unfortunately Mustafi has a tendency to get himself in trouble when he gets overly aggressive on the
ball... from our backs out wide, we've seen pace from the likes of Bellerin and Gibbs and the spirited albeit offensively stunted
play of Monreal, but none of these players possess the skill - set required in the offensive zone for the new Wenger scheme which requires deft touches, timely runs to the baseline and consistent crossing, especially when Giroud was
playing and his ratio of scored goals per clear chances was relatively low (better last year though)... obviously I like Bellerin's future prospects, as you can't teach pace, but I do worry that he regressed last season, which was obvious to Wenger because there was no way he would have used Ox as the right side wing - back so often knowing that Barcelona could come calling in the off - season, if he thought otherwise... as for our midfielders, not a single one, minus the more confident Xhaka I watched
played for the Swiss national team a couple years ago, who truly makes sense under the traditional Wenger model... Ramsey holds onto the
ball too long, gives the
ball away cheaply far too often and abandons his defensive responsibilities on a regular basis (doesn't score enough recently to justify): that being said, I've always thought he does possess a little something special, unfortunately he thinks so too... Xhaka is a little too slow to ever boss the midfield and he tends to telegraph his one true strength, his long
ball play: although I must admit he did get a bit better during some points in the latter part of last season... it always made me wonder why whenever he
played with Coq Wenger always seemed to
play Francis in a more advanced role on the pitch... as for Coq, he is way too reckless at the wrong times and has exhibited little offensive prowess yet finds himself in and around the box far too often... let's face it Wenger was ready to throw him in the trash heap when injuries forced him to use Francis and then he had the nerve to act like this was all part of a bigger Wenger constructed plan... he like Ramsey, Xhaka and Elneny don't offer the skills necessary to satisfy the quick transitory nature of our old offensive scheme or the stout defensive mindset needed to protect the defensive zone so that our offensive players can remain aggressive in the final third... on the front end, we have Ozil, a player of immense skill but stunted by his physical demeanor that tends to offend, the fact that he's been
played out of position far too many times since arriving and that the players in front of him, minus Sanchez, make little to no sense considering what he has to offer (especially Giroud); just think about the quick counter-attack offence in Real or the space and protection he receives in the German National team's midfield, where teams couldn't afford to focus too heavily on one individual... this player was a passing «specialist» long before he arrived in North London, so only an arrogant or ignorant individual would try to reinvent the wheel and / or not surround such a talent with the necessary components... in regards to Ox, Walcott and Welbeck, although they all possess serious talents I see them in large part as headless chickens who are on the injury table too much, lack the necessary first - touch and / or lack the finishing flair to warrant their inclusion in a regular starting eleven; I would say that, of the 3, Ox showed the most upside once we went to a back 3, but even he became a bit too consumed by his pending contract talks before the season ended and that concerned me a bit... if I had to choose one of those 3 players to stay on it would be Ox due to his potential as a plausible alternative to Bellerin in that wing - back position should we continue to use that formation... in Sanchez, we get one of the most committed skill players we've seen on this squad for some years but that could all change soon, if it hasn't already of course... strangely enough, even he doesn't make sense given the constructs of the original Wenger offensive model because he holds onto the
ball too long and he will give the
ball up a little too often in the offensive zone... a fact that is largely forgotten due to his infectious energy and the fact that the numbers he has achieved seem to justify the means... finally, and in many ways most crucially, Giroud, there is nothing about this team or the offensive system that Wenger has traditionally employed that would even suggest such a player would make sense as a starter... too slow, too inefficient and way too easily dispossessed... once again, I think he has some special skills and, at times, has showed some world - class
qualities but he's lack of mobility is an albatross around the necks of our offence... so when you ask who would be our best starting 11, I don't have a clue because of the 5 or 6 players that truly deserve a place in this side, 1 just arrived, 3 aren't under contract beyond 2018 and the other was just sold to Juve... man, this is theraputic because following this team is like an addiction to heroin without the benefits
Hes a jedi but i agree we need cazorla back or player like him or rosicky or song and coquin wasnt song who can still
play with the passing of the other players in the team xhaka is usually good on
ball but so bad off of it hes been a bust so far we almost need the french connection again they have
quality players we could use but honestly i think auba will be more effective on flank pnce we get laca back it takes alot of strength to
play up front in the premier league it takes two years to rebuild in pl at least bit we have had two rough years and not nearly as rough as chelseas or man u or Liverpool or well this is as big as totteham will be before we make them drop down again and oh do nt forget man city either lets remember our history
«I think we
played our best game of the season, in terms of what we demand from ourselves with the
quality of our attack, how early we won the
ball back, how consistent we were throughout the game, the number of chances we created, and all that considering the opposition we were
playing against.
He goes from being in possession of the
ball to having a heavy touch and now he is reaching out or sliding in to win the
ball back he just lost (with his
QUALITY dribbling into players not around them) YES on very rare occasions he pulls off some flicks and one touch
play but NOT constant enough.
Mario Balotelli also deserves a mention, particularly given that the Italian forward battled hard for his teammates off the
ball, while he added a bit of
quality to Milan's
play with the
ball at his feet despite a string of free - kicks being sent over the bar.
Wilshere needs another manager to improve... I have a lot of time for him but he stands around too much waiting for
ball whereas before he used to hunt for the
ball... but whatever happens we are 6 players short of a
quality team... years of penny pinching and over indulging crap players by a clueless manager who is a legend in his own mind... people go on about guardiolas spending in the summer but the team we are now watching
play the best football in epl history only has 2 new additions from last year Emerson and walker... I guess mendy would start if fit... we have 2 new players too but we are further behind than ever!!
Yes, we had some chances ourselves but our lack of
quality, strength in depth and
ball watching team deserved to loose against a team who go out to
play the game.
If we have good memories xhaka
played well in his first nld derby because he
played as a cm and not a dm.he can not protect the defense but he has good attacking
qualities of passing and shooting which he is among the best in the world in doing. He will also addd stee to our midfield and deal with the aerial
balls.
A player will not change our fortunes — we have enough
quality in the team if the manager does not force people to
play out of their positions and if the players do their job — Next match Arsenal should just focus on shutting shop at Liverpool and go for a cleansheet — the midfield needs to be told to focus on disrupting more and just give the
ball to ozil / Sanchez — just sit back and stop attacks.
You single out mesut, who was forced to
play wide so that Ramsey and jack can run around with bang average technical
quality and keep giving the
ball away?
you people are genuinely clueless... he had the highest pass rate of any arsenal player including a couple of ozil
quality... he is the only central player we have who can open up
play from the middle... he holds on to
ball too long sometimes in part because his support is from donkeys like ramsey and walcott
With the emergence of Coq we have been vindicated from Wengers flappy decisions / policy in not signing a proper DM all these years; now it is not a hard
ball play, get another
quality DM to help with what Coq is doing and a MONSTERlike Striker with 25 to 30 goal average / season in the league.
We need a
quality striker (a
ball playing one), a backup GK as Kiko has regressed badly, and probably an extra defender.
Agree with Wilshere 8 or maybe even 8.5 — there were points where he didn't have the impact one might have hoped for, but when the team was lagging he gave consistent energy and generally
played smart, overall some great competitiveness, a few situations of very high
quality control and seeing opportunities for teammates, fighting to win the
ball back, but with no crazy reckless tackles or ridiculously ambitious headfirst attacks where he might hurt himself despite minimal possible gain
«When he does that his defensive game becomes even better because Jack has a great
quality when he wins the
ball, he
plays well when he prefers pressure.
Pairing defensive solidity with technical
quality on the
ball, he'll arguably be a perfect fit for Guardiola's style of
play, while he'll add much - needed depth in the backline as he will undoubtedly hope to displace either Stones or Otamendi in the starting line - up.
Arguably Blind's best
quality is that he knows how to
play to his strengths; his calming presence on the
ball, combined with an eye for a killer pass, are key attributes to his arsenal.
Henderson and Milner are both capable of taking the
ball away from opposition, and their transition
play from defense to attack is
quality.
Bonucci is well renowned for being a
ball playing centre - back and the current Manchester City Manager, Pep Guardiola, is a big admirer of the Milan Captain because of his technical
qualities.
