obviously I would prefer to have a much more suitable alternative
in the defensive
midfielder positions but if they focused more on defensive end and the occasional long - ball, this would allow Bellerin and Sead ample opportunities to bomb forward on their respective wings while still having enough cover to maintain their defensive shape... it would likewise allow for overlapping runs on both wings, thereby letting both Sanchez and Perez to cut inside and get shots away
in and around the top of the box with their most dominant feet... if goals were needed I would sub Bellerin for OX and bring Ramsey
in for Elneny then switch to a 3 -2-4-1 (more of a 3 -1-5-1 with Ramsey
playing higher up the pitch) and I would only use Giroud as a sub when the game dictated it for tactical reasons... this would allow us to be a high energy team with incredible link - up

In the midfield, (including RWB & LWB) we have a whole bunch of tweeners... none offer the full package, none make sense in our manager's current favourite formation, except for Sead on the left and Ox on the right, and all of them have never shown any consistency for more than a heartbeat... Sead, who I'm including in this category because of our present formation, looks like a positive addition, minus his occasional brain farts, but I would rather see what he could do in a back 4 before making my mind up... Ox, who has never played better, which isn't saying much considering his largely underwhelming play in previous seasons, seems to have found a home in this new formation; unfortunately, can we really expect this oft - injured player to handle the taxing duties that come with said position over the long haul, not to mention, it looks like he has no intention of staying... Sanchez has the quality to
play in between
midfield and the striker
position as well as pace to break beyond the defence.
xhaka and Ramsey can
play in midfield together but only if Ramsey starts
in ozils
position..
sell Jack, and get a better
midfielder then convince the ox and Sanchez to extend their contracts but Wenger must stop
playing our players
in long
positions
They don't even
play the same
position first of all, and Pogba has the potential to be one of the best
midfielders in the world.
Having Ozil of all people
play as a winger especially
in front of either full back
in Debuchy or Monreal is suicide because he will not track back whatsoever and
in a formation like that which is designed to thrive on
position you need a work horse on the wings for whichever full back you plan to have overloading the wing AS WELL AS a positionally astute defensive
midfielder to come across and provide cover.
I think he can
play everywhere
in the
midfield — certainly not
in a defensive role — but all the other
positions are not out of reach for him.»
Players like Ozil and Cazorla method of
play is so consistance and efficient and they very rearly get injured that it will be very difficult for Ramsey and Wilshere to get
playing time
in a central
midfield position.
We have Debuchy, Sanchez, Ramsey, Wilshere, Campbell, Rosicky, Chamberlain, Walcott, Welbeck... All these players have pace and work rate, as well as technical skill, but we can't tell them to press high when they lose the ball or to bring chaos to the opponent's defence because not only do we lack cover
in midfield and central defense, we also
play them out of
position.
He's predominantly a left - winger but can
play across any of the attacking
midfield positions so he'd certainly give Wenger plenty of options
in the final third if he was to move to the Emirates this summer — although the report says Chelsea and Liverpool are also interested
in the player so we could face stiff competition.
I think after his injuries, his second biggest problem is where he is
played, he doesn't seem to have a fixed
position in the
midfield, is he an attacking or central
midfielder?
The 29 year - old is highly versatile, having
played at full - back,
in every possible
midfield position, as well as up front
in his time at the Etihad.
I would love to see a big dm option come
in, but again with all our
midfield options due back by the time we face spurs (
in 5 matches time) I can see wenger running with 2 of cazorla rosicky chamberlain ozil ramsey wilshire arteta zelalem diaby and niles,
playing either side of coquelin flamini chambers or hayden, again 14 options for 3
positions will be considered enough by wenger.
Just like Santi, James is a versatile playmaker who can
play on the flanks,
in central
midfield or
in his preferred
position behind the striker as a Number 10.
Mahrez is not going to challenge Ozil as they don't
play in the same
position and right now the central
midfield is lacking
in quality.
Please, do not give me excuses about injuries etc, we have had those the most since 2004, who to blame than Wenger, who has overplayed and
played players
in wrong
position and did not purchase the RIGHT players
in RIGHT places during summer, defensive
midfield player and center back to cover Verminator.
