Montero v Chambers: JM is a tricky winger, pacey, lots of skills & quick dribbling, plays regularly CC a young inexperienced
player who plays
better for us
at CB than
at RB, hardly ever plays, hasn't got the
pace nor the experience to deal with such
players 100 % of the time.
Sterling might be worse
at crossing and finishing, but else than that he's a
better player if we exclude Walcotts
pace.
The only regret is we have lost a
good chant for a striker who was / is never prolific and went through too many barren spells with his goal scoring. While the Chavs put more and
better crosses into the box (yes take note Bellerin) Giroud has no
pace to get on the end of most of them.No great loss as far as I'm concerned and
good money for a bench
player at best
There is no way we are selling Lacazette. He scores goals in France and he will score goals here. What he had
at Lyon was a team that played fast flowing attacking football with
pace and with a system that was designed o get the
best from the
players strengths. He has come into a team that had a toxic dressing room (Sanchez) a defence that did everything but defend a system that strictly forbade any
player from playing anything other than the Wenger Qiuckstep - Sideways Sideways Backwards Lets all start again.
Kev You only need to look
at a
player qualities to acknowledge if the signing has a
good chance of making it... of course everything is gamble in football.injuries, home sickness, family issues, the PL fast
pace football etc... if you've seen arsenal play long enough you can spot which
players are suited for our system and which ones aren't.
At this time we have the opportunity to revert to old ways by using
players with
pace in the squad as strikers, many fans and myself feel we have
better opportunities to win games using this format, with Welbeck as forward it even becomes more apparent, he has the skill sets to evolve into the Henry / Wright Hybrid.
This is an incredibly difficult question to answer for a variety of reasons, most importantly because over the years our once vaunted «beautiful» style of play has become a shadow of it's former self, only to be replaced by a less than stellar «plug and play» mentality where
players play out of position and adjustments / substitutions are rarely forthcoming before the 75th minute... if you look
at our current
players, very few would make sense in the traditional Wengerian system...
at present, we don't have the personnel to move the ball quickly from deep - lying position, efficient one touch midfielders that can make the necessary through balls or the disciplined and pacey forwards to stretch defences into wide positions, without the aid of the backs coming up into the final 3rd, so that we can attack the defensive lanes in the same clinical fashion we did years ago... on this current squad, we have only 1 central defender on staf, Mustafi, who seems to have any prowess in the offensive zone or who can even pass two zones through so that we can advance play quickly out of our own end (I have seen some inklings that suggest Holding might have some offensive qualities but too early to tell)... unfortunately Mustafi has a tendency to get himself in trouble when he gets overly aggressive on the ball... from our backs out wide, we've seen
pace from the likes of Bellerin and Gibbs and the spirited albeit offensively stunted play of Monreal, but none of these
players possess the skill - set required in the offensive zone for the new Wenger scheme which requires deft touches, timely runs to the baseline and consistent crossing, especially when Giroud was playing and his ratio of scored goals per clear chances was relatively low (
better last year though)... obviously I like Bellerin's future prospects, as you can't teach
pace, but I do worry that he regressed last season, which was obvious to Wenger because there was no way he would have used Ox as the right side wing - back so often knowing that Barcelona could come calling in the off - season, if he thought otherwise... as for our midfielders, not a single one, minus the more confident Xhaka I watched played for the Swiss national team a couple years ago, who truly makes sense under the traditional Wenger model... Ramsey holds onto the ball too long, gives the ball away cheaply far too often and abandons his defensive responsibilities on a regular basis (doesn't score enough recently to justify): that being said, I've always thought he does possess a little something special, unfortunately he thinks so too... Xhaka is a little too slow to ever boss the midfield and he tends to telegraph his one true strength, his long ball play: although I must admit he did get a bit
better during some points in the latter part of last season... it always made me wonder why whenever he played with Coq Wenger always seemed to play Francis in a more advanced role on the pitch... as for Coq, he is way too reckless
at the wrong times and has exhibited little offensive prowess yet finds himself in and around the box far too often... let's face it Wenger was ready to throw him in the trash heap when injuries forced him to use Francis and then he had the nerve to act like this was all part of a bigger Wenger constructed plan... he like Ramsey, Xhaka and Elneny don't offer the skills necessary to satisfy the quick transitory nature of our old offensive scheme or the stout defensive mindset needed to protect the defensive zone so that our offensive
players can remain aggressive in the final third... on the front end, we have Ozil, a
player of immense skill but stunted by his physical demeanor that tends to offend, the fact that he's been played out of position far too many times since arriving and that the
players in front of him, minus Sanchez, make little to no sense considering what he has to offer (especially Giroud); just think about the quick counter-attack offence in Real or the space and protection he receives in the German National team's midfield, where teams couldn't afford to focus too heavily on one individual... this
player was a passing «specialist» long before he arrived in North London, so only an arrogant or ignorant individual would try to reinvent the wheel and / or not surround such a talent with the necessary components... in regards to Ox, Walcott and Welbeck, although they all possess serious talents I see them in large part as headless chickens who are on the injury table too much, lack the necessary first - touch and / or lack the finishing flair to warrant their inclusion in a regular starting eleven; I would say that, of the 3, Ox showed the most upside once we went to a back 3, but even he became a bit too consumed by his pending contract talks before the season ended and that concerned me a bit... if I had to choose one of those 3
players to stay on it would be Ox due to his potential as a plausible alternative to Bellerin in that wing - back position should we continue to use that formation... in Sanchez, we get one of the most committed skill
players we've seen on this squad for some years but that could all change soon, if it hasn't already of course... strangely enough, even he doesn't make sense given the constructs of the original Wenger offensive model because he holds onto the ball too long and he will give the ball up a little too often in the offensive zone... a fact that is largely forgotten due to his infectious energy and the fact that the numbers he has achieved seem to justify the means... finally, and in many ways most crucially, Giroud, there is nothing about this team or the offensive system that Wenger has traditionally employed that would even suggest such a
player would make sense as a starter... too slow, too inefficient and way too easily dispossessed... once again, I think he has some special skills and,
at times, has showed some world - class qualities but he's lack of mobility is an albatross around the necks of our offence... so when you ask who would be our
best starting 11, I don't have a clue because of the 5 or 6
players that truly deserve a place in this side, 1 just arrived, 3 aren't under contract beyond 2018 and the other was just sold to Juve... man, this is theraputic because following this team is like an addiction to heroin without the benefits
When Bellerin first came into the side he not only defended
well but was always so dangerous going forward. His
pace and ability to go outside his marker gave us an attacking outlet that allowed us to play without a recognised right sided attacker which coincided with Walcott getting less and less game time.We all thought this boy was going to turn into someone very special and so obviously did the management who apparently renewed his contract on a reputed # 100k per week. What have we seen since then?A
player that seems as indecisive and under coached as the rest of the defenders
at the club.A
player that has rarely delivered a performance that reflected his initial early form.A
player whose body language seems to display his displeasure
at being
at our club when Barcelona reputedly offered # 40m for him in the close season.
Laca has a beard - so does Giroud.Other than the fact they are both French there is no comparison.Give this kid (yeah I know he's 26 but that's still young
at my age) the service and he will be a top top player.Look
at his movement and see how frustrated he gets as the ball continually goes from side to side and backwards.I see a lot of Ian Wright in this boy but even Wrighty would struggle with the way we are set up and play. When Sánchez is gone he will become our main man and just watch the difference.Remember those days when the football was slick and fast?Remember when we had
pace all through the team and had
players who knew how to use it?When we change manager a bring in a coach who gets the
best from
players by playing to their strength you will see a totally different Lacazette and Arsenal
i think this could officially be the start of the end for wenger his blind arrogance has cause him to buy welbeck in the sheer belief that AGAINST THE ODDS HE CAN BEAT THE REST OF THE BIG 4 WITH ONE ARM BEHIND HIS BACK we should be buying top top top european c / l standard
players not sunderland spuds everton standard
players thats about welbecks standard of club in all truthful reality he is an honest hard working
player but wenger thinks he can coach the mediocrity out of him he is truely insane its a guaranteed source of goals we need not more fancy hold up play and «

well to that effect and for some reason wenger has gone all kinky for english
players for some strange reason
at least chambers has great potential welbeck has past that stage and is a seasoned pro now and he is no where near what we need wenger is trying to show how great he is by whiping the back out of the same
players week after week in the vain hope that he can win the league without rotating ever and they will get injured and he wont have learned his lesson and we will pay for it in the end
best last day transfer would have been a 4 year contract for klopp
Everyone is asking for certain
players which I understand but Carvalho is very one paced the same as Xhaka We need a mobile CM Lemar won't be coming but his stats are better than Mane's so we should have paid what ever they wanted We need two CMs as in my opinion Xhaka isn't good enough Seri could be one as long as the other is a mobile destroyer But let's face it at the moment we are in a real bad state Wenger has lost the plot Players want to leave and I don't blame them, so it's either sell now or lose them for free Ozil can go

We all no he's not world class or ever will be but he is a decent squad
player who's very powerful and

good 3rd choice striker and 2nd choice winger
Lamar would coming to different league and may take time to adjust to the
pace of the PL.Sanchez wants out.I believe if a
player wants to leave from the approach of this
player he should be sold.If Man city let's get Aguero cos he is
better than Sanchez in finishing. The coming of lacazete puts more pressure in Sanchez wanting out cos he might be made to warm the bench coming season for his conduct. He might lose his place in his countries team.He should be let off
at a
good price or sensible swap deal.
if you watch arsenal place I see so much space and no runs no runs
at all only when in the box if you watch Leicester they are always makeing runs all over the place that's how you score goals against a team like Southampton they controlled the game it was not unlucky just like chelsea can do control the game and won arsenal
players don't believe they can win the title the
players in that team play without heart you know why because Im sure wenger tells them becareful we don't need anymore Injurys what kind of mentality is that also I will pick out Ramsey he is playing like a
player who is leaveing the club he and flamini just don't work Ramsey is not playing
good at all wenger can blame make excuses but truth is he is the manager he make the tactics and he gets it wrong all the time giroud has no
pace none bench him against some teams and play pure
pace make runs ox Walcott but they don't Walcott has lost it his
pace has gone its clear or he fears I jury how if a
player is fit put your all in forget injury if you get Injured then so be it but if your fit and your Walcott run put yourself about wenger should leave because he.
I'm thinking counter attacks and
players with
pace busting a gut over 25 yards to get in between defenders and let Ozil do what he's
best at.
THeo Walcott has always been one of the fastest footballers on the planet and since he started to mature
at Arsenal and add goals and
better decision making to his
pace and all round game, he has been a really important
player for the Gunners.
The EPL is fast
paced and when
players get into the twilight of their careres

Ozil is a class
player and it's not like we have them in abundance.Sign Mikki and Abua and play them up top with Laca.Skill pace and desire in all of them.Ozil is at his best when he has technically astute players in front of him which is why he was voted German National Team Player of The Year 5 times in 6 years.Giroud - No movement and pace and only dangerous when attacking balls in the box.Despite what is said his hold up play is awfull and goes to ground like he's been shot with a Buffalo Gun at the slightest contact.Walcott - Pace but no brain. The stats tell a better picture of a player who was NEVER good or consistent to ever be considered anything other than average at best.Wellbeck - Good pace and effort but little to offer as a goalscorer.Back - up at best. This is what Ozil has had to work with (I have photo shopped Sánchez from my life for

The problem with Xhaka is this, he tend to sit deep in his own half allowing the opposition
players time and space to get a
good run on him and hence test his sluggish acceleration and
pace, his also not prepared to get engage with one on one chase with attacking
players who runs
at him with the ball, he tend to foul the opposition
player and get yellow or even worst red card on a consistent bases.
His
pace and movement is some of the
best around in the Championship and
at 19 he has the time to develop into an excellent
player.
Some
players do
better jumping in on short notice, but others need to have a feel of the
pace, physicality, & general flow of the game first before performing

best.
Apart from his
pace, Theo has now added versatility, physical strength and a
good finish to his game and
at 26 years of age, there is no way Wenger is letting him go in the prime of his career, especially when the
player himself wants to stay.
not forgetting his not signing a new contract, Walcott could be our Ole Gunnar Solsjaer, those of you who don't know who i'm talking about Ole use to play for Man - U he was very successful sub
player he would come on in around the 70th mnt and almost always scored a goal, many clubs wanted him as their main striker but Ole was happy
at his club, position and terms, i think with Walcott's
pace and being fresh around the 70 mnt he could do
well for his club, but we all know he wont except that role
Walcott is
good at playing on the shoulder of the last man and moving along the line pulling
players around, his
pace would of forced Reading to play deeper with there defenders and Theo is a much
better finnisher compared to Welbeck.
As
well as a
good number of returning

paces for the first time, including a Matt Queralt special
at Cheltenham Crossfit Club and an education in shape from Head Coach Tom James.
and I still reiterate my sentiments, many
players are
better suited to playing for smaller clubs with very little expectations and less pressure and I can name loads of very very talented
players who just don't have the big club mentality,
players who bloom and shine when they are the main attraction, the big fish in a small pond but who will whither and fade once they make the step up to bigger teams... with Arsenal Afobe will just be another
player, another upstart who will find the pressure of delivering week in week out or be out of the team hard to deal with...
at Bournemouth he has time to settle into his
pace, if he misses chances like he did on his debut for the club he will still be given chances after chances, just like it happened withn him
his final product
at times was just lacking but that should get
better with more game time he doesn't realize that he has more time than normal
players cause of his
pace.
Now Walcott on the other hand is a bang average
player at Best plz don't kid yourself I don't care if he gets another 100 goals he's one dimensional all
pace no brains simple as that.
I think we need to bring in an exciting winger, one who beats
players with both
pace and trickery,
good in final third and jut as importantly he's
good at getting back and doing the dirty work.
As always with top high school prospects, questions of
pace and quality of competition will loom over Tufte until he shows it
at a consistent level versus
better players.

I think he's a mid-table Championship

good ability, passing, dribbling and awareness but ultimately lacks the
pace or stamina to make it
at the very top.
He's the
best player I've seen in this division, certainly, to receive the ball on the half - turn

I see a lot of very
good players for a counter-attacking team — Ozil and Xhaka have great passing range, Auba terrifying
pace, Ramsey and Wilshere great
players at making runs into the box.
His team are currently in European contention, flying - high in the league, while he also boasts not only a full strength squad of
players to choose from but fresh ones as
well, with the Trotters not involved in midweek, unlike their opponents, who were put through their
paces at Goodison by Everton and had to put in some shift in order to ground out a deserved point.
But I know it is going to take many conversations between coaches,
players and parents about The Six Pillars to get the
best results, because boys process information in their own unique ways and

The
pace of each game is also a bit repetitive if you chain too much, a little more variety in the types of events would have been welcome... but it remains that the experience is still very fun, if your friend are, obviously, if you all know each other very
well, and if you are
at least 3 or 4
players around the PS4.
