We are incredibly excited to see
our players get their hands on all of this and start having fun with it.

Most
of ye probably didn't support arsenal when Wenger was classed as one
of the most wanted managers in Europe and was putting it up to Utd and winning trophies every yr things are different now the moving stadium all that less whinging give it a bit
of time he is starting to spend and I'm sure he will buy 1 or 2 in Jan and a few big signings nxt summer and I hope he goes out
on a high man
gets ridiculed by knobs like ye
on a regular basis
players want to play for him big star
players like his style wake up a bit as long as he is in charge the club is in good
hands
Examples are all there, Manure and Tottenham spent big and did not improve, and
on the other
hand Chelsea did spend and that won them the league (Matic, Fab, and Costa)... It is always positive to bring better
players and then it is about how you utilize them and
get the best out
of them...
I never took Wenger's words for it regarding the Sanchez situation because one way he is a business man and needs to put it out that he won't sell so that he can
get a higher price for him,
on the other
hand there is arrogance and pride at stake where he will not be allowed to look a fool having a
player on his team, especially one
of Sanchez's calibre, to want to abandon ship.
Everyone n football and most
of the same fans know Sanchez is our only
player of quality, Henry said he is the only
player who would
get into the Spurs squad, and we play him with one
hand tied behind his back
on the left wing with effectively no existing central striker to worry defenders (unless you count Giroud as a central striker but I refuse to believe Giroud worries any central defender).
In anticipation
of EA Sports» big launch, we
got our
hands on the game's
player ratings (from weFUT.com) and used them to put together the best Liverpool XI according to FIFA 17 ratings.
wenger is a legend in his own mind so other peoples opinions... fans, ex
players, journalists, etc... have no bearing
on his greatness or the righteousness
of his own decisions... from end
of last season it was clear we needed two quality attacking options to put up a serious challenge (
getting rid
of walcott and campbell or ox and bringing in a serious upgrade over giroud) instead he brought in another midfield option (having done the same in the winter window) which only makes sense in his own delusional world rather than the reality
of facing up to serious and strengthening competitors and which defines the job at
hand....
The benefits
of this design are still
getting your playmakers outside and able to use their speed and elusiveness as well as having many more options to choose from
on the same look and not needing to commit a lot
of your
players to one
of the options leaving the other options short
handed.
It would be nice to be able to
get value out
of switching
on whichever game has the best or most interesting
players at any given time, though
on the other
hand baseball probably saps enough
of my productivity when I'm watching / following at most one game per day.
Regardless
of peoles opinions
on Vardy and his suitability with us he has scored more goals that our so called striker It will be interesting to see what happens over the Euro's as France are a very strong team and if Giroud is leading the line and they do well, it could prompt other sied to look at him in a different light Wenger as usual will sit
on his
hands until the last days
of the window now he has brought
on one
player Forgey Mihkatarin we wont be
getting himdespite the fact he likes us Wenger WONT like his price tag
I think it
gets used
on air by color commentators that don't know that much about a
player, but pre-game are
handed a list
of things they could say about the
player so that they sound smart.
I agree with everything said,
on one
hand it's unfair
on Wenger as Arsenal
get linked with everyone, and when these deals don't happen, Wenger
gets the blame, even when 99 %
of the time he isn't even bidding for the
players linked.
I wonder if Hexy decided in the beginning
of the year that it was more important to showcase Weise and / or Lehtera in hopes
of them playing well enough to entice a GM somewhere to give up something to take one
of them off our
hands than to have a slightly better
player in Meat
on the roster but now that we are within striking distance
of actually making the playoffs, Meat is
getting the playing time while Weise is appropriately relegated to watching from afar and Lehtera would be if it weren't for Raffl
getting hurt.
On talent alone he is among our top 5
players of this squad
hands down (Özil, Sanchez, Cazorla, Ramsey and him): 1) We our in a strong position financially so no need to sell 2) He will never be all time goal scorer but if he
gets healthy and starts playing more and more and even
get a full season unscathed under is belt he could be something special 3) He has the passion, the love and the drive to be a captain and would be a great one with maturity 4) Can be one
of the all time greats if he is consistent!
We have certainly been seeing the benefits to
players like Gabriel, Walcott and Coquelin
of having faith in them and not bringing in more competition and we saw another Gunner in the shape
of Joel Campbell grab his chance to impress with both
hands at the weekend, so did Arsenal and Wenger
get the summer transfer business spot
on?
So now he has done his job (very well I might add) then perhaps we can't
get get out
of that thrifty mindset, and maybe he should
hand on the reins to someone who is NOT scared to buy the right
players to take the club to the next «exceptional» level?
Man city seem confident
of getting their
hands on Sanchez, which obviously means that they know that the
player is keen to go there.
After 3 years
of loans, there were a few feelings that Campbell wasn't going to
get a chance to show what he was capable
of at Arsenal, but the
player's impressive World Cup campaign with Costa Rica in 2014, kept the Gunners faith that we had a real future gem
on our
hands.
Let's hope Ramsey can rediscover his form from a couple
of years ago when he looked
hands down to be the
player of the year before
getting injured halfway, Wilshere can avoid another injury, Xhaka steps up his game and that the
players with only a year left
on their contracts sign extensions.
On the hand he can't buy any players because his annual fees of spending on players must be to the level fixed by FA or FIFA If he want to buy, he must get rid of few player

is good in his own way, listen people as wenger said the other day it works both ways
players who refuse to sign a new contract will be made to work harder for their team to attract good offers that way it benefits arsenal without having to give in to his demand besides look at other
players especially Walcott who played wenger for a fool, after signing his 100 k a week his form dipped and not putting in the effort knowing he's
got that contract for at least 3yes, you'll have to
hand it to wenger he learns quick so the bottom line is the ox have been playing well
of late in order to justify these new demand well ox buddy boy I think arsene seen the light
on this one
On the other
hand, there's no
getting away from the fact that SO MANY
of our
players only ever seem to have just one good season, especially the British core.
Obviously Alexis was a problem in the dressing room and
getting rid
of him can help turn focus back
on the squad at
hand, because these transfer things affect the
players and Wenger admitted this too.
Arsenal
on the other
hand are full
of home grown
players, both British and foreign, and so we could offer Liverpool one
of these as part
of the deal to
get Sterling to north London.
this window has just finished i am already thinking about who we will
get for the january window we might try for khedira
on a really low offer as he is free agent almost would help boost numbers in midfield in the new year as we will no doubt need to filling the numbers about then also i will hold my
hands up and say i was wrong this morning for giving wenger stick and saying welbeck is rubbish i have been out in the cold light
of day and had a chance to reevaluate the situation and realized that this could be a canny shrew transfer
on wenger behalf actually if wenger can turn the clock back and work his magic
on welbeck and
get him scoring goals and improve his game then we could have a great underrated signing
on our
hands its wengers absolute trust in him that might be what makes him a great
player as this is something that he never had at old mordor if anybody can make him a world beater wenger can he loves this little pet projects improving
players against the odds welbeck has the skillset to be high class
player upfornt he just needs to work very hard
on his finishing i think once he
gets a few goals under his belt he will settle in fine and he is a team
player you could put him
on the left against man city to shore up that side and he will put in a great shift without a complaint that could be his biggest asset to us or
on the right whenever we need him there ithinkwenger might start himon the left against city to protect the left back against navas and i bet you if he does a great job we will take a shine to him quickly i am hopeing he will be one
of those wenger gems that he finds and polishes up to a high finish i must admit i was annoyed as some other gunners were at not signing d / m and c / h but if wenger does win the league with this lot it will be his greatest win yet and what might play in to our
hands is the unpredictable nature
of the league in the last few seasons if we
get on a good run at the right time we might be hard to stop look at city they should have never lost to stoke but the result is there in black and white for all to see and i think chelsea will hit the skids after a while to just because cesc and costa are doing well now thats there main threat but teams will work out how to stop them as the season goes
on and chelsea will become predictable i think we might just do well this season after all
On one
hand, it could be argued that the
player's best interests have come into play for both parties, and it's the right decision as he looks to put years
of injury problems behind him and
get a good run
of games at the Hawthorns to rediscover his fitness and form.
I also went
on to say that even with the
players we've
got, even a a manager such as Pardew for example would rub his
hands together if he was in charge
of the talent that we have at Arsenal as he knows that with his mindset
on how the game should be played i.e functionality over flair, even he could make the
players and team much more formidable.
Neil - I am convinced
of what you have written. There is no way at all the Agent
of ANY top
player would NOT ASK THE QUESTION REGARDING THE MANAGER.The whole
of world football knows we are declining rapidly. The Agent is there for his client and would have no doubt demanded assurances the sinking ship that has been Wengers fault will soon be Captained by someone that will sail her into steady and calmer waters.Ivan Gazidis is no fool.He would have expected these questions and would have needed to convince him change WILL happen.Wengers demise is there for all to see.The arrogance
of this man will be his own undoing.Gazidis has a tough job
on his
hands but by
getting Aubameyang to sign was the first sign
of the change that was inevitable. His Agent was obviously convinced. Now we need to trust Gazidis to implement the drastic overhaul that will be required.
I do believe that the current crop
of Gunners are better able to cope with the pressure and expectation from the Arsenal fans, but until we do finally
get our
hands on the Premier League trophy again then there is going to be an issue in the minds
of the
players.
I am not going to say we will win this or we will lose wait and see because
on one
hand the rivalry in this league is like nothing from any other and
on the other we have been improving also we have
got a very good group
of players with everyone saying how close we are.
And with the English version already being used as an experiment by the bigger teams to test younger
players or to give fringe members a game, at least until the latter stages where managers realise they have the chance to
get their
hands on some silverware, it could be seen as an even bigger waste
of time.
In the first round
of the draft they
got the top - rated
players on their board at wide receiver (Roy Williams
of Texas, a burner with great
hands) and running back (Kevin Jones, who rushed for 1,647 yards and 21 touchdowns at Virginia Tech last season).
Time for some brutal honesty... this team, as it stands, is in no better position to compete next season than they were 12 months ago, minus the fact that some fans have been easily snowed by the acquisition
of Lacazette, the free transfer LB and the release
of Sanogo... if you look at the facts carefully you will see a team that still has far more questions than answers... to better show what I mean by this statement I will briefly discuss the current state
of affairs
on a position - by - position basis... in goal we have 4 potential candidates, but in reality we have only 1 option with any real future and somehow he's the only one we have actively tried to
get rid
of for years because he and his father were a little too involved
on social media and he
got caught smoking (funny how people still defend Wiltshire under the same and far worse circumstances)... you would think we would want to keep any goaltender that Juventus had interest in, as they seem to have a pretty good history when it comes to that position... as far as the defenders
on our current roster there are only a few individuals whom have the skill and / or youth worthy
of our time and / or investment, as such we should
get rid
of anyone who doesn't meet those simple requirements, which means we should
get rid
of DeBouchy, Gibbs, Gabriel, Mertz and loan out Chambers to see if last seasons foray with Middlesborough was an anomaly or a prediction
of things to come... some fans have lamented wildly about the return
of Mertz to the starting lineup due to his FA Cup performance but these sort
of pie in the sky meanderings are indicative
of what's wrong with this club and it's wishy - washy fan - base... in addition to these moves the club should aggressively pursue the acquisition
of dominant and mobile CB to stabilize an all too fragile defensive group that has self - destructed
on numerous occasions over the past 5 seasons... moving forward and building
on our need to re-establish our once dominant presence throughout the middle
of the park we need to target a CDM then do whatever it takes to
get that
player into the fold without any
of the usual nickel and diming we have become famous for (this kind
of ruthless haggling has cost us numerous special
players and certainly can't help make the
player in question feel good about the way their future potential employer feels about them)... in order for us to become dominant again we need to be strong up the middle again from Goalkeeper to CB to DM to ACM to striker, like we did in our most glorious years before and during Wenger's reign... with this in mind, if we want Ozil to be that dominant attacking midfielder we can't keep leaving him exposed to constant ridicule about his lack
of defensive prowess and provide him with the proper
players in the final third... he was never a good defensive
player in Real or with the German National squad and they certainly didn't suffer as a result
of his presence
on the pitch... as for the rest
of the midfield the blame falls squarely in the
hands of Wenger and Gazidis, the fact that Ramsey, Ox, Sanchez and even Ozil were allowed to regularly start when none
of the aforementioned had more than a year left under contract is criminal for a club
of this size and financial might... the fact that we could find money for Walcott and Xhaka, who weren't even guaranteed starters, means that our whole business model needs a complete overhaul... for me it's time to
get rid
of some serious deadweight, even if it means selling them below what you believe their market value is just to simply right this ship and change the stagnant culture that currently exists... this means saying goodbye to Wiltshire, Elneny, Carzola, Walcott and Ramsey... everyone, minus Elneny, have spent just as much time
on the training table as
on the field
of play, which would be manageable if they weren't so inconsistent from a performance standpoint (excluding Carzola, who is like the recent version
of Rosicky — too bad, both will be deeply missed)... in their places we need to bring in some proven performers with no history
of injuries... up front, although I do like the possibilities that a
player like Lacazette presents, the fact that we had to wait so many years to acquire some true quality at the striker position falls once again squarely at the feet
of Wenger... this issue highlights the ultimate scam being perpetrated by this club since the arrival
of Kroenke: pretend your a small market club when it comes to making purchases but milk your fans like a big market club when it comes to ticket prices and merchandising... I believe the reason why Wenger hasn't pursued someone
of Henry's quality, minus a fairly inexpensive RVP, was that he knew that they would demand
players of a similar ilk to be brought
on board and that wasn't possible when the business model was that
of a «selling» club... does it really make sense that we could only make a cheeky bid for Suarez, or that we couldn't
get Higuain over the line when he was being offered up for half the price he eventually went to Juve for, or that we've only paid any interest to strikers who were clearly not going to press their current teams to let them go to Arsenal like Benzema or Cavani... just part
of the facade that finally came crashing down when Sanchez finally called their bluff... the fact remains that no one wants to win more than Sanchez, including Wenger, and although I don't agree with everything that he has done off the field, I would much rather have Alexis front and center than a manager who has clearly bought into the Kroenke model in large part due to the fact that his enormous ego suggests that only he could accomplish great things without breaking the bank... unfortunately that isn't possible anymore as the game has changed quite dramatically in the last 15 years, which has left a largely complacent and complicit Wenger
on the outside looking in... so don't blame those
players who demanded more and were left wanting... don't blame those fans who have tried desperately to raise awareness for several years when cracks began to appear... place the blame at the feet
of those who were well aware all along
of the potential pitfalls
of just such a plan but continued to follow it even when it was no longer a financial necessity, like it ever really was...
never waste CAPITAL LETTERS
on an article about Chambers at this juncture... I still can't believe that no one from management has ever explained why such a frugal club spent so much money
on him in the first place... we haggle for months and years with clubs for
players who could have a monumental impact
on the very future
of our club but somehow we found $ 16 million for someone who couldn't regularly crack a Southampton lineup (very fishy)... don't
get me wrong, I like what he showed at times last season in Middlesbourogh but from the handful
of games I watched him play I still have some serious questions about his consistency as a back - line
player in the EPL; as such he should prove himself
on loan for another season, making sure that he goes to a team that wants him in the starting 11... bottom line, let's not
get bogged down with the semantics
of peripheral
players and focus
on the real task at
hand = figure out who the hell is going to be our starting 11 for the foreseeable future, which means
getting contracts signed,
getting rid
of a lot
of deadwood and bringing in talented
players into the positions which truly need upgrading... the rest is just unnecessary noise
He's shown that he is an aggressive
player with great awareness
of his
hand placement, but will need to work
on his pass protection as he
gets ready for a whole new level
of competition.
Of course we know that Pierre - Emerick Aubameyang will
get a rest as he is cup - tied in the Europa League, Arsenal face a tough away game against an in form Newcastle United
on Sunday and to add to the problems we have been
handed the early kick - off, so you can see why the Frenchman might want to rest a key
player or two.
Don't blame the process for the Sanchez situation, blame Wenger & Gazidis for not
getting their business done earlier and / or not following through with the promises they have made to their high priced talent and their devoted fans... someone please give me an example
of another supposed «top club» allowing their top
player to go unsigned before the final year
of their contract unless they were severely injured or the club was planning
on selling said
player prior to their final year...
on a side note, Wenger might complain about the transfer window closing so late but just think about how problematic that could be for our team which usually waits until the last second to make deals...
on the one
hand we might have less «panic» buys, whereas
on the other
hand those same ridiculous purchases might just have come weeks earlier... Wenger will find excuses for his ineptitude in the transfer market regardless
of the deadline date
I think Arsenal fans never ever learn.Giroud is a
player that even if we played Messi, Ronaldo, Pele, Maradona, Henry, Vieri, Inzaghi and all the the other greatest strikers to play with and compliment bla bla bla he'd still be average. Can't we just wake up.It's so annoying that people continue to rate. He's not Arsenal's worst ever
player but he's one
of Arsenal's worst ever strikers in terms
of finishing and note I only considered finishing. What's all this why can't people see him for the average
player he is along with other several Arsenal
players who are average. Why do we compromise
on the truth but hope for the better. It's like sticking your
hand in ice then putting it in fire and expect not to
get burned but feel ok.
This is a decent article, yet the negatives from fans are still there, I would love to see arsenal like I did at the end
of the 90's and at the beggining
of the 2nd millennium but it doesn't mean in order to do so I would buy all the best
players in world, I would
get a rich owner to put his filthy money in, change the manager every 2 years to do so, there's so much wrong in football nowadays that yes it's still a sport but there's more focus
on the filthy amounts
of money being spent
on clubs and
players that I think attracts more attention than the game itself, now that is wrong and it's very wrong, even our owner though not like the arabs or Russians, yet the yank is clueless about the tradition
of our game, it's just sad, so the fact that Wenger has remained for this long through all these changes that have occurred whilst the money game has elvolved, it makes me happy that arsenal do not spend stupid amounts
of money
on players, we don't try and buy the league, hell we even tight with wages and transfer fees, I'm glad it's like that, though our season ticket is a rip off I still don't mind it because at least we are not like the other supreme teams, there's a bit
of tradition left at our club, yet you go to man shitty or Chelski, there is no tradition, it's all about buying ur way all the way to the top,
on the other
hand spuds don't know what to make
of them besides how the heck have they finished above us?
Manchester City don't have many home grown
players & are desperate Like him or don't Jack is one
of the best British
players if Man city can't
get there
hands on any decent home grown
players then they have to
get second rate home grown
players who are no way near top 4 champions league team material.
i think we will make fourth spot this season if we
get to keep Sanchez that is if Sanchez starts to play like he did yesterday, i think because lack
of squad depth the likes
of Spuds, Liverpool and possibly Chelsea will start to drop points in Feb by losing first team
players to injury after busy Christmas scheduled and busy CL scheduled, we
on the other
hand should be topping the group
on Thursday night football playing with mixture
of youth and bench
players hopefully leaving our first team rested and fit, February we have three big games Everton home, Spuds away and City home, hopefully we do well
not really making the news, the atmosphere
on last wednesday was really strange, silent, step by step to normal football, but you can't throw away your thoughts immediately, I just
got a glimpse
of Enkes personality during a film
of him shown before the match, I can't realize how hard it must be for his wife to lose him, tomorrow the
players of Germans first Bundesliga will wear a black ribbon again, but I think it won't affect the atmosphere like it has with the national team despite
of Hannover
of course, people will be enthousiastic again, but there is the idea
of an «Enke donation» which I like, will keep his name alive, will take some positive emotions
on this tragedy and a kind
of appeal for everyone to reflect the important things
of life and control your own behaviour, I hope so at least, and I hope his wife will cope with that situation, and again: it was really hard for the German nationl team to play under these circumstances, to lose someone close in this way is hard to deal with,
on the other
hand it causes a close solidarity feeling I think, but
of course the world will not change, things are returning to the old soon, but nonetheless for me this tragedy is a kind
of human wake - up call, at least a call and then you continue
It's that time
of the year again when Real Madrid
players get to lay their
hands on luxury cars provided by their sponsors, Audi.
On 1
hand you have a
player who has been since smoking till the early hrs
of the morning, A
player who sat down in protest at the way the team was playing, A
player who runs to the press every time he feels he needs to
get something off his ego.
With no game this weekend due to the acrimonious exit from the FA Cup at the
hands of Nottingham Forest, this weekend represents a moment in time whereby Arsenal fans are forced to look
on in bittnerness as the other top clubs in England waltz through to the fifth round, having been
handed easy ties that will see them rotate
players but having just
got to a cup final, it feels a little weird.
On the other
hand, the Gunners will try to add even more
players to fill the void left by their talisman, along with Walcott and the Armenian star should
get his set
of chances to prove himself and link - up with the likes
of Ozil, Wilshere and Ramsey, creating chances for Lacazette and Giroud.
If
players are seen to be trying to
get soil
on their
hands, they should have their
hands cleaned
of any soil and more magic liquid applied.
After their recent problems, this is probably more important to the Catalan club because it looks like their best chance
of getting their
hands on a trophy this season, but Carlo Ancelotti and his
players are determined to stop that happening.
In the meantime, Steve Kean will take charge
on an interim basis although, with the owners suggesting that it could take as long as until the end
of the season until a replacement is found, Kean could be
handed the role permanently should he perform the miracles the board are asking for, which is to
get this average bunch
of Ewooder's playing attractive football even though half
of the
players at the club would struggle to
get into a Championship starting XI.
Espn soccernet had
on fergie marvellous 25 years, not forgetting the amount
of luck
on his side and the 12 man the referee at old trafford
on his side,
got to
hand it to him he knows how to find, manage and disperse
of players, wish I could say the same for mr wenger for last half
of a decade, I not going to rant about wenger and the dissapointments but I ask for fans not to put down all their cards in favour
of arsenal performances as history looks bleak as wenger hasn't taken us over to the trophy cabinet exploration for a while.
