As a result, it would surely require a
player to head
out first to make space for Werner, but having spent so heavily on their attack, it's only logical that they address their issues at the other end

Once the Arsenal team runs onto the
pitch for any game
of football it is up to the 11
players out there representing us all to perform and produce the right result, so we can see the logic in laying the blame with these

of disappointment that has been all too prevalent this season.
1) On the
pitch: - we always start 3 -4-3 but always switch back to a back 4... it isn't tactical as we look bad in both - Bellerin playibg LWB when you have the best in the bundesliga last season on the bench - Welbeck playing the striker role when he can do everything but score when you have Lacazette a record signing on the - Monreal in back 3 when you have Kostafi who can flank Per in the middle protecting him against pace as well as having a commending figure and - Telling Xhaka to not play as a 3rd offensive
player when Ramsey dashes - Playing a guy in Ox so
out of position and persisting with him over preseason as if he would be there for years when it is clear he doesn't want to play for us (his case is a weird one)

players who are very public about their frosty relationship and conflict on the

2) No leaders across the
pitch: Özil for all the money is no leader but a technically gifted
player who can split a defense with an exquisite vision and pass, Sanchez for all the dribbles as the potential but is not there yet, Cazorla will never be in the conversation, Mertesacker is not fit to be one anymore, Coquelin for all the good he has done is too tender and inexperience, Giroud no WC
player to assume the role... the only one who can seriously be a leader is Wilshere but unfortunately until he becomes consistent and set the tone with his talent and passion... 3) Mertesacker is a shell
of himself and it would be an embarrassment to see him continue to play in his current form, get Gabriel
out just for the sake
of showing anybody in this team that there's no place for under performers: we paid good money to get him so play him!

players would die on the

In the midfield, (including RWB & LWB) we have a whole bunch
of tweeners... none offer the full package, none make sense in our manager's current favourite formation, except for Sead on the left and Ox on the right, and all
of them have never shown any consistency for more than a heartbeat... Sead, who I'm including in this category because
of our present formation, looks like a positive addition, minus his occasional brain farts, but I would rather see what he could do in a back 4 before making my mind up... Ox, who has never played better, which isn't saying much considering his largely underwhelming play in previous seasons, seems to have found a home in this new formation; unfortunately, can we really expect this oft - injured
player to handle the taxing duties that come with said position over the long haul, not to mention, it looks like he has no intention
of staying... Ramsey has relied on the empathy that stems from his gruesome injury years ago and the excitement that was generated a few years back when he finally seemed to put in altogether, but on the whole he has been a big disappointment (neither he nor the Ox have scored enough to warrant a regular spot)... Wiltshire should be put on a weekly contract then played until he suffers his first injury, if and when that occurs he should be shipped -
out and no one should very be allowed to say his name on club grounds ever again... Elnehy & Coq are average
players who couldn't make any
of the top 7 teams currently in the EPL... both have showed some great energy on the
pitch, but neither are top quality and no good team can afford to have that many average
players on their bench playing the same position, especially with Coq's injury history / discipline concerns and Elheny's headless chicken tendencies... as for Xhaka, his tenure here so far has been incredibly underwhelming... we know he has some skills to provide the long ball but his defensive work is piss poor and he gives the ball away too cheaply and far too often... finally, the enigma himself, Ozil, so much skill with his left foot but his presence has been more frustrating than uplifting... in many respects his failure has been directly related to the failure
of this club to provide him with the necessary
players up front, minus Sanchez
of course, and unless something drastic happens very soon his legacy will be largely a negative one (much like Wenger's)
For those
players who did play for their respective nations this summer at Euro 2016, but have since been knocked
out of the competition, they have been granted an extended holiday period by Wenger, to ensure they have a well earned rest away from the
pitch.
Mertz should never have been our captain in the first place... who has ever heard
of a team that makes 11th hour transfer buys (Arteta & Mertz) then seemingly places those same individuals into prominent leadership positions from the get - go... indicative
of the problems that have permeated our clubhouse for the better part
of 7 years under the Kroenke & Wenger... what is wrong with the
players chosen and / or the management style
of Wenger that doesn't develop and / or encourage strong leadership from within... Mertz was the fine collecting lackey from year one... this is what happens when you don't get world - class
players because many times they want to have a voice on and off the
pitch and this can't happen when you play for a fragile manager who has developed a coddling wage structure where everyone is rewarded for simply wearing the shirt and participating in the process... not enough balance between performance and pay, combined with the obvious favoritism shown to some
players regardless
of their glaring lack
of production... remember that Ramsey has played in positions that make no sense considering his skill - set (
out wide) and has forced other
players off the field or into equally unfamiliar positions with little or no justification (let's remember when you read articles about how Ramsey's goals this upcoming season being the potential X-factor for our success that this is the same individual who didn't score a goal until the final week last season)... this
of course is just one example
of many... before I hear another word from Mertz I want this club to address the fact that no former
player of any real consequence has any important role in the management structure
of this club, yet several former Gunners have expressed serious interest in just such an endeavor (Henry, Viera, Adams, Bergkamp... just to name a few legends)... there is only one answer: an extremely insecure manager!!!
Personally, I feel that he is the first
out - and -
out defensive midfielder that Arsenal have had in ages, and the benefits
of having such a
player on the
pitch is evident for all to see.
The boss also alluded to his lack
of time on the

player that Olivier Giroud has been in good form since his return from months
out with injury.
I'm not going to cry
out that we should break the bank and bring in X amount
of world class
players but I'm expecting something different for the next game whoever is on the
pitch; because one thing is for sure it was really poor today!!
If Arsenal stick with three centre backs then Mustafi must be considered a far better choice for the third birth alongside Kos and Holding rather then Monreal.Kolasinac has to come back in at left eing - back and Bellerin revert to the right.Midfield is a very different matter.Arsenal still desperately need a proper defensive central player.Ozil in this current side can not be considered anything more than a luxury. All
of Bournemouth's creativity will come down the flanks so it's necessary to put
players on to the
pitch who are prepared to fulfill their defensive duties. This also means that unless Ramsey can work
out that he's playing in midfield not as a number 10 he has no place on the team either.
Wenger might be at fault for playing some
players out of position, but end
of the day he was not on the
pitch and I think our
players need to take most
of the blame on this one,
It a shame no one has stats for drawing opposition
players out of play which Wilshere dose so well but sometimes his cought with the ball and he gets heavy tackle against him, I would like to see them both on the
pitch and see what hapens, I'm sure it will be a high scoring game for both teams
In the early stages
of his career, he blossomed from a skinny bundle
of potential into an attacking
player who would hunt the ball
out, anywhere on the
pitch, then drive toward the opposition goal; now he is refining himself back down into a single - minded goal hanger.
Sanchez just keeps losing the ball, I mean he loses the ball too often and he tries to do too much with the ball instead
of making a decent pass, when it works
out it is quality but when it doesn't it just disgusts me, I am not taking anything from his performance today, but he is our best
player on the
pitch, its high time he started acting like it... and Rosicky for MOTM
As well as pointing
out that it is his decision and that Danny Welbeck is in need
of minutes on the
pitch, Wenger was relaxed about the reaction and explained that no
player wants to come off.
He's more likely to win a hoofed ball
out of defence, then he can hold it up and allow the pacey
players like Walcott and Alexis to sprint forward — they can run a lot faster when they don't have to take the ball with them up the
pitch.
Wenger would love to bring back all past
players if he thought they could last half a game instead
of signing «real»
players that have the tenacity and ability to actually go
out onto the
pitch with belief they can actually «do the required job» and with a winning mentality..
Well written, but I think it will fall on deaf ears, my fear is as follows, it will take a loss in money for the manager and board to change, this will only come if we finish
out of the top 4, but knowing the board they would still give home a season to try again, I feel very sorry for Sanchez, he is total quality and deserves better, most
of the other
players look settled, turn up give70 % and get paid, no matter what level you play at you should come off the
pitch thinking I gave everything, how many
of our
players could say that, they lack motivation,
player for
player we are as good if not better than athletico Madrid but they have a manger that gets 100 %
out of every
player, Klopp is the same, but why would they leave their clubs to come here with a boar that cares about money not entertainment, Wenger was a lucky manager he inherited a top defence now his luck has run
out
In 14 appearances for Spurs so far, the
player is yet to score or assist, however it's his actions at the other end
of the
pitch which show why the club forked
out for the defender over the summer.
Elneny is a whole different
player and has his own strengths but some games require that
player with a death touch to get you
out of trouble and
pitch in with goals, for this reason I would propose either Isco or Pjanic.
Then lets play
players out of position, monreal is a lb only, chambers better at cb or dm, mertesacker needs getting off the
pitch and not on the bench either.
In case you are looking to accuse him
of tactical ineptitude, Wenger has never been a coach to micromanage his
players on the
pitch, even during the season they went unbeaten, he simply got intelligent self motivated
players together who communicated with and led each other on the
pitch, figuring
out opponents and outwitting them without waiting for instructions from the bench, Henry, Pires, Vieira, Adams, Keown, Campbell come to mind here.
That way Wenger does a reasonable job
of getting his best
players on the
pitch without playing non-versatile
players out of position.
Husband: [bored] that means the
player should go
out of the
pitch for misbehaving.
(which reminds me, have we loaned
out cohesion cus he's never on the
pitch or bench) so Arsenal with a couple
of world class
players in Ozil, Sanchez, Cech, Santi and Koscienly are behind.
He seems to be more willing to take
players on and also is cutting
out the turnovers in the middle
of the
pitch.
when arsenal are pressing high up the
pitch ramsey is one
of the best
player on the
pitch but we are on the backfoot like against liverpool he will stick
out as one
of the worst.
This is an incredibly difficult question to answer for a variety
of reasons, most importantly because over the years our once vaunted «beautiful» style
of play has become a shadow
of it's former self, only to be replaced by a less than stellar «plug and play» mentality where
players play
out of position and adjustments / substitutions are rarely forthcoming before the 75th minute... if you look at our current
players, very few would make sense in the traditional Wengerian system... at present, we don't have the personnel to move the ball quickly from deep - lying position, efficient one touch midfielders that can make the necessary through balls or the disciplined and pacey forwards to stretch defences into wide positions, without the aid
of the backs coming up into the final 3rd, so that we can attack the defensive lanes in the same clinical fashion we did years ago... on this current squad, we have only 1 central defender on staf, Mustafi, who seems to have any prowess in the offensive zone or who can even pass two zones through so that we can advance play quickly
out of our own end (I have seen some inklings that suggest Holding might have some offensive qualities but too early to tell)... unfortunately Mustafi has a tendency to get himself in trouble when he gets overly aggressive on the ball... from our backs
out wide, we've seen pace from the likes
of Bellerin and Gibbs and the spirited albeit offensively stunted play
of Monreal, but none
of these
players possess the skill - set required in the offensive zone for the new Wenger scheme which requires deft touches, timely runs to the baseline and consistent crossing, especially when Giroud was playing and his ratio
of scored goals per clear chances was relatively low (better last year though)... obviously I like Bellerin's future prospects, as you can't teach pace, but I do worry that he regressed last season, which was obvious to Wenger because there was no way he would have used Ox as the right side wing - back so often knowing that Barcelona could come calling in the off - season, if he thought otherwise... as for our midfielders, not a single one, minus the more confident Xhaka I watched played for the Swiss national team a couple years ago, who truly makes sense under the traditional Wenger model... Ramsey holds onto the ball too long, gives the ball away cheaply far too often and abandons his defensive responsibilities on a regular basis (doesn't score enough recently to justify): that being said, I've always thought he does possess a little something special, unfortunately he thinks so too... Xhaka is a little too slow to ever boss the midfield and he tends to telegraph his one true strength, his long ball play: although I must admit he did get a bit better during some points in the latter part
of last season... it always made me wonder why whenever he played with Coq Wenger always seemed to play Francis in a more advanced role on the
pitch... as for Coq, he is way too reckless at the wrong times and has exhibited little offensive prowess yet finds himself in and around the box far too often... let's face it Wenger was ready to throw him in the trash heap when injuries forced him to use Francis and then he had the nerve to act like this was all part
of a bigger Wenger constructed plan... he like Ramsey, Xhaka and Elneny don't offer the skills necessary to satisfy the quick transitory nature
of our old offensive scheme or the stout defensive mindset needed to protect the defensive zone so that our offensive
players can remain aggressive in the final third... on the front end, we have Ozil, a
player of immense skill but stunted by his physical demeanor that tends to offend, the fact that he's been played
out of position far too many times since arriving and that the
players in front
of him, minus Sanchez, make little to no sense considering what he has to offer (especially Giroud); just think about the quick counter-attack offence in Real or the space and protection he receives in the German National team's midfield, where teams couldn't afford to focus too heavily on one individual... this
player was a passing «specialist» long before he arrived in North London, so only an arrogant or ignorant individual would try to reinvent the wheel and / or not surround such a talent with the necessary components... in regards to Ox, Walcott and Welbeck, although they all possess serious talents I see them in large part as headless chickens who are on the injury table too much, lack the necessary first - touch and / or lack the finishing flair to warrant their inclusion in a regular starting eleven; I would say that,
of the 3, Ox showed the most upside once we went to a back 3, but even he became a bit too consumed by his pending contract talks before the season ended and that concerned me a bit... if I had to choose one
of those 3
players to stay on it would be Ox due to his potential as a plausible alternative to Bellerin in that wing - back position should we continue to use that formation... in Sanchez, we get one
of the most committed skill
players we've seen on this squad for some years but that could all change soon, if it hasn't already
of course... strangely enough, even he doesn't make sense given the constructs
of the original Wenger offensive model because he holds onto the ball too long and he will give the ball up a little too often in the offensive zone... a fact that is largely forgotten due to his infectious energy and the fact that the numbers he has achieved seem to justify the means... finally, and in many ways most crucially, Giroud, there is nothing about this team or the offensive system that Wenger has traditionally employed that would even suggest such a
player would make sense as a starter... too slow, too inefficient and way too easily dispossessed... once again, I think he has some special skills and, at times, has showed some world - class qualities but he's lack
of mobility is an albatross around the necks
of our offence... so when you ask who would be our best starting 11, I don't have a clue because
of the 5 or 6
players that truly deserve a place in this side, 1 just arrived, 3 aren't under contract beyond 2018 and the other was just sold to Juve... man, this is theraputic because following this team is like an addiction to heroin without the benefits
-- the
players don't turn up or — the
players aren't good enough or - the wrongs tactics are employed or — the
players are played
out of position or — we don't have a plan B or — we don't have leadership on the
pitch or — we haven't strengthened the areas
of the team that are weak
always on the bench while
out of form
players were enjoying their time on the
pitch..
