Tim Sherwood can claim as much as he likes that he left a legacy at Tottenham, but without Mauricio Pochettino, the amount of young
players playing in the first team would be nowhere near as high.

players of good quality

Wenger has mostly used the second string squad at the start of any season to great effect, most
teams aren't at full strength or match fit and he
plays that Wengerball numbers game, throwing
in squad
players who are fit and raring to go whilst the
first team get ready, we'll win 2 of our 3 opening games and he'd rather that than splash 100m on 3
players and get the same amount of points.
I see lot of coments about how we can sign Reus «cuz he's a world class
player.Yes, he is a great
player BUT did you see how mutch this season was he injuried? The period when Dortmund win some games and comme forward
in the table was the period when Reus was available, rest of the season he was injuried. This is one thing, the other think is that Klopp say he will leave Dortmund
in the end of the season and looking for a new chalange.I'm pretty sure that he will leave to a big
team and will take Reus after him.Sterling is exactly the same type of
player as Sanchez, just doesn't have the same experience, he's not fully developed.I think he can be a
first XI
player for us and I think will be great alongside Sanchez, replacing Cazorla when he will leave.Sterling is an English
player, will be great to see him at nationat
team too, and we need as mutch as rest of the big
teams from EPL home grown
players. The coments who say that we have Gnabry and Wellington make me laugh, really?Do you want trophies?Or do you want to see more young
players and waiting year after year to confirm or just see how they doesn't
play anything?We are a top
team, and need performance
in UCL too, not just participaiting.Sterling is a young CONFIRMED
player who will definetly help us.Agree that he's not fully grown but he will be a great
player.

I've always maintained my stance that Arsene Wenger loves French
players in his
team than any other
players. No matter how average you are once you're French and once you're
in the
first team he tends to give you so many chances to prove yourself.I can start mentioning them if you want me to but I know you know them.If Lucas Perez was French he wouldn't have been out so early believe me.I just don't know where to begin. Was Giroud bought to become a super sub or to be the leading striker?Having giving us many sesons of failure people are now content with him being a so called super sub.A
player like Giroud is not built for that kind of role.He ws a super sub
in 99 % of those matches because he was not
played when he was supposed to and we needed presence
in the air.The funny thing is people are using only this season to label him as a super sub. There were so many matched that Wenger should have started Giroud but for some reason didn't start him.I only see Arsenal as the top club who'd be crying over Giroud. If a good offer comes we should sell.

Come the other year when Arsenal went the whole season without a defeat
in the Premier League, Barcelona were attracted by Marc Overmas and Emmanue Petti, the two joined Barcelona, they
played few games, and sometime on the bench, as a result Emmanue Petti decided to go back to England and joined New - Castle and always regret leaving Arsenal, then the other year it was Alexander Hleb, he was the best dribller
in Arsenal
team, he went again to Barcelona, he was never given some games, I think he only
played few games as a sub, and his carrier was destroyed by Barcelona, then come Henry, he again went to Barcelona, he
played some games but not like he used to do at Arsenal, he was not looking like a star
player anymore, he decided to go to America, then there was Fabrigas, he joined Barcelona again, since he was one of their juniors, I think he
played for two seasons, and supporter used to booing him, he decided to come back to Arsenal, by then Arsenal had already resplaced him with Ozil, and he joined Chelsea, then come Alexander Song, he pushed to go to Barcelona, he was always on the banch, and never been on
first eleven, then he ended up regreting joing Barcelona, and wanted to go back to Arsenal, but normally Wenger do not take
players who pushed themselves to be out of Arsenal, lastly there was Vermuleen, he went to Barcelona and ended up not
playing at all but when
playing for Arsenal they used to be star
players.
But I have been saying the same thing about Sanchez since last season, his

team mates, he has the worst passing for a

No we hv a very good U21 side, most of our

play against 21 - 25 year old lads, so they are actually punching about their weight, so by the time they get to their 20s, they will either be loaned out, or given time
in the
first team for experience.
Wenger said earlier this week that he would definitely be aiming to create history
in the FA Cup, but he still made a fair amount of changes ahead of the tie against Sunderland and I have to ask if would he have risked

but more importantly it should tell you that wenger no longer has a grasp on the strengths and weaknesses of his
team, or, indeed, what kind of football he is trying to
play... heard a lot of people waffling on about the end of tika tak... we never got there because too many
first team players lack the skills to do that kind of football... ramsey walcott giroud merteshaker coquelin are not that kind of
player... nor do we rapidly convert defence
in to attack as we used to or press
teams in their own half..
In the midfield, (including RWB & LWB) we have a whole bunch of tweeners... none offer the full package, none make sense in our manager's current favourite formation, except for Sead on the left and Ox on the right, and all of them have never shown any consistency for more than a heartbeat... Sead, who I'm including in this category because of our present formation, looks like a positive addition, minus his occasional brain farts, but I would rather see what he could do in a back 4 before making my mind up... Ox, who has never played better, which isn't saying much considering his largely underwhelming play in previous seasons, seems to have found a home in this new formation; unfortunately, can we really expect this oft - injured player to handle the taxing duties that come with said position over the long haul, not to mention, it looks like he has no intention of staying... Ramsey has relied on the empathy that stems from his gruesome injury years ago and the excitement that was generated a few years back when he finally seemed to put in altogether, but on the whole he has been a big disappointment (neither he nor the Ox have scored enough to warrant a regular spot)... Wiltshire should be put on a weekly contract then played until he suffers his first injury, if and when that occurs he should be shipped - out and no one should very be allowed to say his name on club grounds ever again... Elnehy & Coq are average players who couldn't make any of the top 7 teams currently in the EPL... both have showed some great energy on the pitch, but neither are top quality and no good team can afford to have that many average players on their bench playing the same position, especially with Coq's injury history / discipline concerns and Elheny's headless chicken tendencies... as for Xhaka, his tenure here so far has been incredibly underwhelming... we know he has some skills to provide the long ball but his defensive work is piss poor and he gives the ball away too cheaply and far too often... finally, the enigma himself, Ozil, so much skill with his left foot but his presence has been more frustrating than uplifting... in many respects his failure has been directly related to the failure of this club to provide him with the necessary players up front, minus Sanchez of course, and unless something drastic happens very soon his legacy will be largely a negative one (much like Wenger'

Nine
players for the Bucks scored
in the
first half — everyone who
played, save for Zaza Pachulia — but no one

Big
in your list I can agree that all these
players would improve us, but let's look at our CB At the moment Kos, top
player but is struggling with a inj which may or may not heal, at the moment he isn't match fit so not up to his own high standard, so needs help or a defender of his quality so he can go and recover properly So then we have Mert, too slow and no longer good enough, I'm not sure if he's even good enough for 3 rd choice CB, too slow, poor on the air for his size and not brave enough, he's lasted this long due to Kos he needs a Top class CB just to allow him to
play against average
teams Ok now Reid not top class we can all agree so we couldn't really
play him with MERT as he isn't Kos quality so can't cover merits deficiencys He could be ok with Kos but Kos is struggling So is Reid what we need???? And finally Wenger if he has all 3 fit will still
play Kos / Mert
first choice Oh and God forbid we
play MERT / Reid against the top
teams like Chels / city / utd / Southampton Chuckle chuckle
Trice is the only black
player on the Iowa State football
team, the
first black varsity athlete at Iowa State College (as Iowa State University was then known) one of only a few black football
players in the country at the time
playing against white opponents.
Mertz should never have been our captain
in the
first place... who has ever heard of a
team that makes 11th hour transfer buys (Arteta & Mertz) then seemingly places those same individuals into prominent leadership positions from the get - go... indicative of the problems that have permeated our clubhouse for the better part of 7 years under the Kroenke & Wenger... what is wrong with the
players chosen and / or the management style of Wenger that doesn't develop and / or encourage strong leadership from within... Mertz was the fine collecting lackey from year one... this is what happens when you don't get world - class
players because many times they want to have a voice on and off the pitch and this can't happen when you
play for a fragile manager who has developed a coddling wage structure where everyone is rewarded for simply wearing the shirt and participating
in the process... not enough balance between performance and pay, combined with the obvious favoritism shown to some
players regardless of their glaring lack of production... remember that Ramsey has
played in positions that make no sense considering his skill - set (out wide) and has forced other
players off the field or into equally unfamiliar positions with little or no justification (let's remember when you read articles about how Ramsey's goals this upcoming season being the potential X-factor for our success that this is the same individual who didn't score a goal until the final week last season)... this of course is just one example of many... before I hear another word from Mertz I want this club to address the fact that no former
player of any real consequence has any important role
in the management structure of this club, yet several former Gunners have expressed serious interest
in just such an endeavor (Henry, Viera, Adams, Bergkamp... just to name a few legends)... there is only one answer: an extremely insecure manager!!!
The time substitutions against QPR was ok, don't forget we made
first early sub
in first half because of injury to Gabriel, So i think waiting for that last minuet change when your
team is
playing well was the perfect time to bring on
players like Ramsey to test game again.
Wenger
first tried to turn Arteta into a DM, that really did not work out, then he got Flamini on a free and Flamini is just not good enough of a
player to
play in a top 10
team in the EPL, so that was never going to work out.
But 6 to 7 years ago, all young
players were getting many
first team opportunity
in the form of substitution, CL matches were we already topped the group with couple of group matches to be
played, PL matches where we already won like 4 - 0 score with 30 minutes to go against lesser
team, Carling cups etc..
We also need to
play more of our academy
players in the
first team.
lst season at stamford bridge, was the
first time i saw that 4 -1-4-1 formation being used, and for some weird reason i feel a very strange negative vibe and well all know the outcome.the manager has come back with this formation and its not yielding result, but he still sticks with it.i do nt know much about formations dear friends, but if you are
playing a slow dm
in arteta and a very very slow cb, then you are toast against quality
teams with sound tactics.wen
playing wellbeck as a lone striker, i think 4 -2-3-1, will work better, but if we have a big
player like oliver (boooos), thn we can try the 4 -1-4-1, thingy cos he can hold the ball for our midfielders to run
in.but on the overall, shame on wenger for not giving our defence a good cover DM.NO BODY
PLAYS A SLOW DM / CB AND EXPECT TO B REGARDED AS CHAMPIONSHIP MATERIAL.IT HURTS GUYS, REALLY HURTS.
Mistamonn most of the time his
playing players out of position is because we don't have the necessary depth of
players for each position specially on the left, the
team is always out of balance he rely needs to buy W / C if not top
players in key positions, last year i was commenting that we needed a striker before a class DM but i was so wrong, we
first need the best DM that money can buy no mater how much then and only then we can look for another class DM and a couple of descent defenders.
At Arsenal, being the manager, Wenger decides which
player is good enough to be bought, which
player is good enough to
play in the
first team, which
player should start or be «benched», what tactics (formation and style of
play) to use, when to bring on or take off a
player (substitutions) during games, etc..
So can Wenger really convince his dynamic star that he will be a key
player in the Arsenal
first team this season or will the lure of
playing under Conte for Chelsea prove too strong?
Up front we have a few world - class
players surrounded by some serious pretenders... Sanchez is by far the most accomplished
player in our attack but the controversy surrounding his contractual mishandling could see him go before the window closes or most definitely by season's end... obviously a mistake by both parties involved, as Sanchez's exploits have never been more on display than
in North London, but the club's irresponsible wage structure and lack of real intent have been the real undoing
in this mess... Lacazette, who I think has some world - class skills as a front man, will only be as good as the
players and system around him, which is troubling due to our current roster and Wenger's love of sideways passing... Walcott should have been sold years ago, enough said, and Welbeck should never have been brought
in from the get - go... both of these
players have suffered numerous injuries over their respective careers and neither are good enough to overcome such difficulties: not to mention, they both are below average
first - touch
players, which should be the baseline test for any
player coming to a Wenger - led Arsenal
team... Perez should have been
played wide left or never purchased at all; what a huge waste of time and money, which is ridiculous considering our penny pinching ways and the fact that fans had been clamoring for a real striker for years... finally Giroud, the fact that he stills wears the jersey is a direct indictment of this club's failure to get things right... this isn't necessarily an attack on Giroud because I think he has some highly valued skills, but not for a
team that has struggled to take their sideways soccer to the next level, as his presence slows their game even more, combined with our average, at best, finishing skills... far too often those
in charge have either settled or chosen half - measures and ultimately it is us that suffer because no matter what happens Wenger, Gazidis and Kroenke will always make more money whereas we will always be the ones paying for their mistakes... so every time someone suggests we should just shut - up and support the
team just think of all the sacrifices you've made along the way and simply reply... f *** off
so what, a youth
player has been out for almost a year, wont get any
playing time
in the
first team.
so for that he is going to rest the
first team players for the league and not
play them
in Europa league bcos he wants to win the league....
I don't really blame any of those
players at all,
first mistake from Wenger was his
team selection and secondly wrong
players in a wrong position,, its quite sad with all their mouths and boasting of starting the season strongly and aiming for the league just a waste of energy and wishful thinking, am putting the whole blame on Wenger, where is Belerin, why Ozil, Cazorla
played out of positions, you should know their weaknesses and strength as a coach, why must we pass and pass to score a goal, many opportunities came from shooting distance but the
players will always be looking for the next person to pass the ball to, its quite unfortunate that a big club like arsenal is relying on a scrappy Giroud to lead an attack of a
team aiming to win the league.
On paper you would think that
playing Forest would be an easyish task, considering they have won only one of their last 8 games
in the Championship, but League form goes out of the window when it comes to the FA Cup, especially when Wenger is forced to
play some second string
players to help the
First XI
team regain some strength for the Top Four challenge.
