4) We need players this summer as simple as that and across the pitch, ready made WC caliber player: CB, DM, ST we can't continue that way and it showed (Coquelin has done fantastic but as I said a few times on other articles a few good games is not enough and this is he's 1st mediocre game - inexperience) 5) Misfiring: chances we get but we fail to convert and put ourselves in a commanding position and that has happen so many times it seems we never learn: Welbeck and Giroud should've done better can't expect Özil, Cazorla and Sanchez even thought he can score to do it (Aguero or Suarez would've put that game to bed with all the chances in the 1st half)
In the midfield, (including RWB & LWB) we have a whole bunch of tweeners... none offer the full package, none make sense in our manager's current favourite formation, except for Sead on the left and Ox on the right, and all of them have never shown any consistency for more than a heartbeat... Sead, who I'm including in this category because of our present formation, looks like a positive addition, minus his occasional brain farts, but I would rather see what he could do in a back 4 before making my mind up... Ox, who has never played better, which isn't saying much considering his largely underwhelming play in previous seasons, seems to have found a home in this new formation; unfortunately, can we really expect this oft - injured player to handle the taxing duties that come with said position over the long haul, not to mention, it looks like he has no intention of staying... Ramsey has relied on the empathy that stems from his gruesome injury years ago and the excitement that was generated a few years back when he finally seemed to put in altogether, but on the whole he has been a big disappointment (neither he nor the Ox have scored enough to warrant a regular spot)... Wiltshire should be put on a weekly contract then played until he suffers his first injury, if and when that occurs he should be shipped - out and no one should very be allowed to say his name on club grounds ever again... Elnehy & Coq are average players who couldn't make any of the top 7 teams currently in the EPL... both have showed some great energy on the pitch, but neither are top quality and no good team can afford to have that many average players on their bench playing the same position, especially with Coq's injury history / discipline concerns and Elheny's headless chicken tendencies... as for Xhaka, his tenure here so far has been incredibly underwhelming... we know he has some skills to provide the long ball but his defensive work is piss poor and he gives the ball away too cheaply and far too often... finally, the enigma himself, Ozil, so much skill with his left foot but his presence has been more frustrating than uplifting... in many respects his failure has been directly related to the failure of this club to provide him with the necessary players up front, minus Sanchez of course, and unless something drastic happens very soon his legacy will be largely a negative one (much like Wenger's)

I'm so sick of people telling those of us who are disgruntled fans to relax and give this club time to correct itself... for anyone who believes that taking a wait - and - see approach is appropriate at this juncture they should take a good long look at themselves in the mirror because they are a big part of the problem... no other «big» club's fans would stand for this shit for nearly as long as we have... think about it, we've witnessed a changing of the guard at every major club in England, Spain, France and Germany in the last several years because those «big» clubs failed to live up to expectations (Barcelona, Real Madrid, Bayern, PSG, Chelsea, ManU, ManCity etc...)... for some reason, many fans have become as fragile as our current manager, believing that there couldn't possibly be a suitable replacement, even though everyone of these clubs have found multiple replacements and still achieved far more than our club... this mindset has been created by an organization that has been milking it's fans, telling countless lies (no world class players available) and lowering expectations every since they rolled out the biggest lie of all: that we couldn't spend because of the new stadium but once it was paid off we could compete with any team in the world... this organization is rotting from the inside out and if we don't demand that those in charge put soccer first this despicable behaviour won't end with Wenger's ridiculous 2 year contract... I think the real fear isn't that a suitable replacement doesn't exist, but that this organization is so money hungry and poorly mismanaged that we will sink even lower by choosing our next coach the same way they choose our players, on the cheap... even so, we need to see what mustache will do if left to his own devices so he will have to show his true colours... only then can we purge this club and start anew

Wenger put ozil on the wing for his development one thing i do nt get is how the fans do nt see that Wenger done the same process with Wilshere, I remember when Monreal was caught out at the back post from a set piece and ozil did nt cover he just jogged abit n let monreal get beat, that would be video evidence for Ozil to learn and work on his duty to defend instead of giving him Candy like a baby n letting him be lazy in the middle not tracking back for the team its a learning process im 100 % Wenger knows ozils best position is in the centre he followed him since Shalke its obvious but Wenger develops players into world class after seeing Ozil in the world cup and coming back after the world cup i coud see he defended alot more helping out monreal on the flanks and putting in alot more effort only then once hes showed his duty in defending will he be given his free role in the middle.
have to say i thought monreal was our most consistent player and deserves a 6... the rest were 5 or less with mert ramsey and ozil (and i love this guy) all on 3 wqalcott gets a 2 for showing up which is all he did (not bad days work for a 140 grand)... as most have been saying for 3 years or more a quality attacking option and a quality DM are essential in next 2 weeks... 60 m at least needs to be put down on the table

Holding's done well but his recent performances have shown that a youngster is indeed a youngster.Even when he was playing well there were many times where he overdid things. However, I'm saying all these things because the guy is being heavily replied upon and that's putting pressure on him hence the inconsistencies.I'm still sratching my head over the Gabriel sale.I honestly think he's better than Mertesacker, Holding and Chambers for now.The three back suited him perfectly.I agree with you that Ox can't score or defend but he can definitely set up chances with his crossing. In fact I think though he gets many wrong he's actually our best crosser.People should should go and rewatch his crosses and compare it to our other players.

I wonder how arsene prepares our team for them to produce such lacklustre performances. Its very perplexing for us to lose or draw against poor teams like chelski and looserpool.I was always a wenger out due to I being a frustrated fan. When our players are on the pitch they show no desire and no hunger at all. They produce such mediocre performances in front of fans whove paid so much to watch these games. It makes you womder why on earth they have such heavy salaries only to put on a flabbougasting show in front of 55000 fans. Its very ironical that we here on this site shower praise on such performances.players like ozil recieve such unwarranted praise you might think they are from another planet. Then we have an extremely overrated english core of gibbs ox and walcott Sorry to say this but players like draxler and rodrigiez are twice these players. This is food for thought for you who support the team blindly due to wengers compulsion that makes you believe that we are playing the worlds finest brand of football and have a large array of talent that excused him for not going into the transfer market as at the moment we are currently losing the clubs most coveted round of 16 trophy and putting such dissapointing performances in the league.
RIGHT???????????????? Do you still think people should stay quiet and accept whatever average shiTty show a player puts up on the pitch??? Why can't people for God sake understand the angle the young man was coming from, this is a guy who has come out to suggest what he feel will be of great glory to the team, futbol is about winning trophy not the samba, champaign, tick taka or jambody style Of playwill be accredited to ur cv after retirement, every professional player will wants to be identify with a medal, mind you he have limited years to his career, therefore we should not allow sentment or affections we have for our various teams erode the basic objective of the game.we should also think about their future too, this guys are proffessionals which young lads are looking up to and questions will be ask tomorrow about theirs playing days.can people tell me why pele and some other famous players in the world both present and past are been celebrated today the answer is simply cos they are successful in their career and have trophy to show for it in their respective clubs or countries, why the complain in nigeria?its simply cos our team for quite a while now has not recorded any troph to her glory, fans should learn how to call a spade a spade in order to balance situation and also for better performance of the team.why then did arsene wenger hurridly went to buy more experienced players after the poor outing he had at the beggining of last season?this players know beta cos they are at the centre of it all, we don't have to trash what they say, we fans are only watching from screen, in as much as we beliv in arsen wenger, we should also know that without the boys no arsen wenger, fans should try to reason along with the players too.an hypotetical cases of similar to rvp has been tested by some players and have put them right over the coach and the team.so, whatelse does the fans needs to prove that futbol has gone beyond living in the past.for example, fabrigas and nasri were able to prove their critics wrong.thank God for them, we should always be objective in our submission, how else do we expect players to show their commitment to a team that was in 8 on the log table and later fought their way back to 3rd this boys are commendable and deserve to be encouraged, I think is high time the manager and the mgt board of arsenal futbol team get to know that game of futbol has gone beyond two teams domination, its now like a pendilum which can swing either way only with a powerful insrument called money.you can't eat ur cake and have.
Wenger I have to admit is very clever in the way he manages to do this every year, putting in insulting bids to other clubs that even us arsenal fans know are way under the asking price so that it looks like an attempt was made, really its just for show, then he talks in extremes about how signing players for 25M will result in a football clubs implosion which is also utter nonsense, the money arsenal have brought in on player sales alone in recent seasons should merit some reinforcement, let alone the emirates revenue, tv money and sponsorship deals.
He is still young and more or less not going to have a problem playing every week at his present club, The new owner who is a Russian with plenty of money to spend on players has no need to sell and will spend the same sort of money we will and at moment the way Ithey are playing and the way we are they would have no trouble turning us over, We need to go back to grass roots which is what the majority want produce local talent and actually give them a chance in the first team, Play entertaining football all the time not respect the point (they will come if you play well) There is talent all over the world we need to find it, Howe is showing the way and in years to come may be a great England Manager but not for us right now and if I was him I would stay put

nice tribute andy and no doubts he has been the player of the year, although i cant understand him being criticised early on because hes been an international from an early age and a regular with cameroon and i distinctly remember him putting in strong performances when on loan at a struggling charlton a few seasons ago... i guess he has become the example of why we shud be patient with the younger players and give them the time that has no doubt benfited him i remember reading an article from him after the city game when adebayour had his little outburst and i cudnt believe how dedicated to the club and fans he was when questioned bout his «friend» adebayour saying arsenal and the fans are his priority and dat is all i cant understand people wanting cameroon to fail just so we can get him back early after the commitment he has shown to us but if he maintains his form we wont see anytime soon!goodluck song and cameroon
