I don't think a lot of
players see themselves in the role of slave owners, and however cool Conan Exiles may make it seem, it could put the community in an uncomfortable position to either embrace it, ignore it, or reject it.

2) No leaders across the pitch: Özil for all the money is no leader but a technically gifted
player who can split a defense with an exquisite vision and pass, Sanchez for all the dribbles as the potential but is not there yet, Cazorla will never be
in the conversation, Mertesacker is not fit to be one anymore, Coquelin for all the good he has done is too tender and inexperience, Giroud no WC
player to assume the
role... the only one who can seriously be a leader is Wilshere but unfortunately until he becomes consistent and set the tone with his talent and passion... 3) Mertesacker is a shell of himself and it would be an embarrassment to
see him continue to play
in his current form, get Gabriel out just for the sake of showing anybody
in this team that there's no place for under performers: we paid good money to get him so play him!
look the problem i
see is, campbell is a solid
player but i doubt he has potential upwards i think he has already achieved his ability which he will maintain through the years and thats solid, he would be a good back - up, but he does nt want that, so no choice there whereas ox is back - up and theo is the only one right now who on form has enough output / production
in that slot for a starter -

Only point I disagree on is the DM point, we cant
see what will happen
in the future and I for one would rather have a
player at the same level
in Le Coq's position and man manage the situation than leave it open should Le Coq get clattered and be out for several months and have to rely on Arteta to fill that
role for an overtly long period, yes we can use Rambo or Jack
in the same
role as Le Coq but does that not restrict our options
in other area's?
I'd love to

So

We could also do with another

What makes him better than Arnautovic? The stats?I'm not saying Arnautovic is better or not but if I was a neutral watching them both the difference
in quality is not huge.Do you know what Arnautovic could have done if he was given the lone CF
role i Arsenal?I guess I'm also the only one who thinks Chicharito is better than Giroud yet playing at West Ham.If we had Chicharito instead of Giroud from 2012 we could have easily won the league
in 15/16 season. What makes Giroud so good that if I watch him on my TV I can't
see?All I
see is a
player who turns his back to goal for most parts of the match.
But as hopeful as I am that the worst is behind them, Ramsey, Ox's hamstrings, Theo's ACL and Wilshere's ankles are worrying... I feel dirty saying it and I'd seriously consider a pledge of celibacy for this coming season if it'd help, but still, the odds really aren't
in our favour for all those
players remaining healthy over the entirety of next season At the moment, personally I can only really

@TH14atl the list of the

role he will be better than santi

role. But from what you said i think we might just sell cant we.Have you forgotten the man utd match last season where peeps were like O!

I would like to
see Ozil learn to defend more if he isn't going to find his scoring boots, learn from Cazorla... It would be an interesting experiment to do, play Cazorla and Ozil as 2 creative B2B
players but I do nt think it will trump Cazorla
in a deep lying playmaker
role and Ozil
in the ACM
role.
This is an incredibly difficult question to answer for a variety of reasons, most importantly because over the years our once vaunted «beautiful» style of play has become a shadow of it's former self, only to be replaced by a less than stellar «plug and play» mentality where
players play out of position and adjustments / substitutions are rarely forthcoming before the 75th minute... if you look at our current
players, very few would make sense
in the traditional Wengerian system... at present, we don't have the personnel to move the ball quickly from deep - lying position, efficient one touch midfielders that can make the necessary through balls or the disciplined and pacey forwards to stretch defences into wide positions, without the aid of the backs coming up into the final 3rd, so that we can attack the defensive lanes
in the same clinical fashion we did years ago... on this current squad, we have only 1 central defender on staf, Mustafi, who seems to have any prowess
in the offensive zone or who can even pass two zones through so that we can advance play quickly out of our own end (I have
seen some inklings that suggest Holding might have some offensive qualities but too early to tell)... unfortunately Mustafi has a tendency to get himself
in trouble when he gets overly aggressive on the ball... from our backs out wide, we've
seen pace from the likes of Bellerin and Gibbs and the spirited albeit offensively stunted play of Monreal, but none of these
players possess the skill - set required
in the offensive zone for the new Wenger scheme which requires deft touches, timely runs to the baseline and consistent crossing, especially when Giroud was playing and his ratio of scored goals per clear chances was relatively low (better last year though)... obviously I like Bellerin's future prospects, as you can't teach pace, but I do worry that he regressed last season, which was obvious to Wenger because there was no way he would have used Ox as the right side wing - back so often knowing that Barcelona could come calling
in the off - season, if he thought otherwise... as for our midfielders, not a single one, minus the more confident Xhaka I watched played for the Swiss national team a couple years ago, who truly makes sense under the traditional Wenger model... Ramsey holds onto the ball too long, gives the ball away cheaply far too often and abandons his defensive responsibilities on a regular basis (doesn't score enough recently to justify): that being said, I've always thought he does possess a little something special, unfortunately he thinks so too... Xhaka is a little too slow to ever boss the midfield and he tends to telegraph his one true strength, his long ball play: although I must admit he did get a bit better during some points
in the latter part of last season... it always made me wonder why whenever he played with Coq Wenger always seemed to play Francis
in a more advanced
role on the pitch... as for Coq, he is way too reckless at the wrong times and has exhibited little offensive prowess yet finds himself
in and around the box far too often... let's face it Wenger was ready to throw him
in the trash heap when injuries forced him to use Francis and then he had the nerve to act like this was all part of a bigger Wenger constructed plan... he like Ramsey, Xhaka and Elneny don't offer the skills necessary to satisfy the quick transitory nature of our old offensive scheme or the stout defensive mindset needed to protect the defensive zone so that our offensive
players can remain aggressive
in the final third... on the front end, we have Ozil, a
player of immense skill but stunted by his physical demeanor that tends to offend, the fact that he's been played out of position far too many times since arriving and that the
players in front of him, minus Sanchez, make little to no sense considering what he has to offer (especially Giroud); just think about the quick counter-attack offence
in Real or the space and protection he receives
in the German National team's midfield, where teams couldn't afford to focus too heavily on one individual... this
player was a passing «specialist» long before he arrived
in North London, so only an arrogant or ignorant individual would try to reinvent the wheel and / or not surround such a talent with the necessary components...
in regards to Ox, Walcott and Welbeck, although they all possess serious talents I
see them
in large part as headless chickens who are on the injury table too much, lack the necessary first - touch and / or lack the finishing flair to warrant their inclusion
in a regular starting eleven; I would say that, of the 3, Ox showed the most upside once we went to a back 3, but even he became a bit too consumed by his pending contract talks before the season ended and that concerned me a bit... if I had to choose one of those 3
players to stay on it would be Ox due to his potential as a plausible alternative to Bellerin
in that wing - back position should we continue to use that formation...
in Sanchez, we get one of the most committed skill
players we've
seen on this squad for some years but that could all change soon, if it hasn't already of course... strangely enough, even he doesn't make sense given the constructs of the original Wenger offensive model because he holds onto the ball too long and he will give the ball up a little too often
in the offensive zone... a fact that is largely forgotten due to his infectious energy and the fact that the numbers he has achieved seem to justify the means... finally, and
in many ways most crucially, Giroud, there is nothing about this team or the offensive system that Wenger has traditionally employed that would even suggest such a
player would make sense as a starter... too slow, too inefficient and way too easily dispossessed... once again, I think he has some special skills and, at times, has showed some world - class qualities but he's lack of mobility is an albatross around the necks of our offence... so when you ask who would be our best starting 11, I don't have a clue because of the 5 or 6
players that truly deserve a place
in this side, 1 just arrived, 3 aren't under contract beyond 2018 and the other was just sold to Juve... man, this is theraputic because following this team is like an addiction to heroin without the benefits
It's claimed that the Argentine icon
sees it as an «unnecessary» signing, and
in his defence, he may well have a point considering Barca now have him, Luis Suarez, Ousmane Dembele, Coutinho and Andres Iniesta to play
in the more advanced
roles, not to mention bit - part
players like Gerard Deulofeu.
see our team is good but never consistent, i will still blame Arsene, for buying average
players, the likes of Elneny, Ramsey, Walcot, shouldnt be
in our team, now Santi is getting old, needs replacement he can buy someone like James of madrid, look at walcot he's only deceiving us, the guy isn't good for our team, forget Euro or No 10
role, this is not Wales, its Arsenal, Ramsey loves his country more than Arsenal, he doesn't play with the same passion!
I still don't understand people's obsession with boxing
players in to a specific
role... The whole «true DM» is a dying breed, even Coquelin is arguably something else considering the advanced positions he takes up often
in front of Santi and takes major risks
in winning the ball back for us... IMO, the reason Coquelin has had such a successful integration into the first team is that he focussed incredibly hard on the basics of his
role first and foremost before adding other elements to his game (long - balls, driving runs into space, more aggressive ball movement
in general) it's not rocket science to tell a
player to curb the attacking side of their game and focus primarily on defence before attack... Nor is it that hard to
see that playing
in a midfield pairing with either Ramsey or Cazorla is going to be different as well.
anything but a win will make 4th place an increasingly distant goal... to be honest we should be able to beat this lot woy has tightened them up but hardly turned them
in to big hitters but i do nt think wenger can motivate the team anymore so its all about whether
players show up on the night... wilshere needs to get on the ball more partnered with elneny who is probably the most reliable of a hapless riumvirate, kosalinac and debuchy given
roles in a back 4... if sanchez wants to showcase his skills i can
see a 2 1 victory... otherwise could be looking at another embarassing loss... pathetic that we have fallen to this level of speculation
You could
see the disappointment etched onto the face of the Frenchman as he sat on the bench but afterwards
in his interview KLacazette accepted the situation and he clearly understands his
role as a team
player.
These are very important questions because when things go wrong on the field of play and we (fans and pundits) formulate our opinions — we do so through the prism of what we
see on the field of play — the performance of the
players and the manager — and largely ignore the
role and activities of the money making people who behind the scenes play a huge part
in determining what happens on the pitch.
The
player himself also spoke about it, as reported by the Daily Mail, and although he realises that he has quite a bit to learn
in the
role, he did enjoy and plans to study some of the best
players in that position and
see how the likes of the great Andrea Pirlo do so well there.
The England and United captain has been playing
in a much deeper
role recently, which has even
seen him as a holding
player, as van Gaal looks to try and fit
in all of his big names into one match day XI.
Wenger put ozil on the wing for his development one thing i do nt get is how the fans do nt
see that Wenger done the same process with Wilshere, I remember when Monreal was caught out at the back post from a set piece and ozil did nt cover he just jogged abit n let monreal get beat, that would be video evidence for Ozil to learn and work on his duty to defend instead of giving him Candy like a baby n letting him be lazy
in the middle not tracking back for the team its a learning process im 100 % Wenger knows ozils best position is
in the centre he followed him since Shalke its obvious but Wenger develops
players into world class after
seeing Ozil
in the world cup and coming back after the world cup i coud
see he defended alot more helping out monreal on the flanks and putting
in alot more effort only then once hes showed his duty
in defending will he be given his free
role in the middle.
let's look at Zidane and our own Vierra — hopefully Henry will get a
role in training and youth development at Arsenal or a
role involving
player development of our 1st team; then we can
see how that goes for a couple of years.
im happy to
see chambers step into that
role if we buy a quality cb and bellerni is brought
in as right back cover i think the lad has what it takes wana
see wenger use more rotation from the squad this season its been said on here already its vital we use our whole squad and if wenger is not confident
in our back up
players he should go out and buy more instead of saying hes happy with the
players he has then not using them
He made a huge mistake vs Roma, perhaps he has learnt and hence the rotation, you can still say he priorities a smaller trophy to the cl, I mean we all heard shit about this squad, few believed
in a cl title but he proved otherwise only to kill our hopes with stubbornness, at least he made many remember who we have and what can be done, so stop the hate and complaints, the board is not pleased with our football either but they know who they signed, let them sign better
players next season and
see if ev can be stubborn, soon he will be forced to use dembele more, the pressure from the board will come, for now it is what it is and if he starts paulinho and gomes he simply used 2/3 of his options for the double pivot
role (we all know we can not play 433, it's madness) let us stop complaining and exercise patience.
With Arsenal due to take on the MLS All - Stars tomorrow we might get a chance to
see the versatile
player in his new
role.
Injuries have played a massive
role in this series, with both teams
seeing key
players miss time.
Wilshere can never play that
role... don't u
see his pattern of play... hold the ball and move
in the middle of
players... were gonna loose many games from counter attack if he is converted... how many world class dm play that way... forget those bullshit, we need to buy a proper dm plzz
From what we've
seen of him on the pitch thus far, Mbappe has all the makings of a top - class
player, now it just remains to be
seen whether or not the appeal of having a crucial
role at Arsenal and playing
in the Premier League appeals to him most.
Well you might be surprised to
see his EPL stats on Squawka.com compared to his team mate Mikel Arteta, to his own stats from last season and to the
player everyone is raving about
in that
role, Chelsea's Nemanja Matic.
but i do expect this season to be more of transition - still fine tuning
players positions an
roles etc so there might be poor games, but if we win - we win that title admin gave me one thought: Y ’ all act like you never
seen a white person before Jaws all on the floor like Pam and Tommy just burst
in the door forgot the rest lol
It would be nice to
see Wilshere play as a deep plying playmaker and Ramskey being the tough tackling all action B2B
player, Wilshere has done well for England
in that deeper
role and if Wilshere and Ramsey can get a good understanding... It could be so beautiful
cant
see wenger adding another CF is walcott is handed that
role... but do need another attacking option so need an aguero type
player cutting
in from the right... suggestions?
Whether or not he can do that again this season remains to be
seen as he continues his recovery from that injury, but evidently Jose Mourinho believes that he can still play an important
role, perhaps
in helping the likes of Lukaku and the other young
players to reach their potential and have the right approach to succeed.
Look at his wages and look at his
role in the team. It's not fair.Other
players can do better if given similar opportunities. The same can be said for others
in the team.Everyone has his opininon on him and to me when I
see him play all I
see is average.
He can play as DM and even the Ramsey
role, he is a good team
player as well, above all he is made for the Epl.If you don't
see all this
in him, you are fre to do or say anything to me..
I want to
see Wilshere play that linking
role between CM and attack, he is the only CM who can wriggle out of a tight position and play a smart pass
in our team and we really need that type of
player alongside Xhaka.
seen it happen several times
in the past as well remember chelski 6 - 0 thrashing both
players went missing ozil on lw is ineffective both he & cazorla best pos is
in no. 10
role & only one can play there he need a proper winger
