I see lot of coments about how we can sign Reus «cuz he's a world class player.Yes, he is a great player BUT did you see how mutch this season was he injuried? The period when Dortmund win some games and comme forward in the table was the period when Reus was available, rest of the season he was injuried. This is one thing, the
other think is that Klopp say he will leave Dortmund in the end of the season and looking for a new chalange.I'm pretty sure that he will leave to a
big team and will take Reus after him.Sterling is exactly the same type of player as Sanchez, just doesn't have the same experience, he's not fully developed.I think he can be a first XI player for us and I think will be great alongside Sanchez, replacing Cazorla when he will leave.Sterling is an English player, will be great to see him at nationat
team too, and we need as mutch as rest of the
big teams from EPL home grown players. The coments who say that we have Gnabry and Wellington make me laugh, really?Do you want trophies?Or do you want to see more young players and waiting year after year to confirm or just see how they doesn't
play anything?We are a top
team, and need performance in UCL too, not just participaiting.Sterling is a young CONFIRMED player who will definetly help us.Agree that he's not fully grown but he will be a great player.

of course it wasnt right... this was a
big game today and much
bigger than wednesday night... you
play your best players in
big games but more than that football is a
team sport which depends on players learning to interact with each
other they can only do that if they
play together in familiar roles... our real qualities players do nt
play enough together....
This is an incredibly difficult question to answer for a variety of reasons, most importantly because over the years our once vaunted «beautiful» style of
play has become a shadow of it's former self, only to be replaced by a less than stellar «plug and
play» mentality where players
play out of position and adjustments / substitutions are rarely forthcoming before the 75th minute... if you look at our current players, very few would make sense in the traditional Wengerian system... at present, we don't have the personnel to move the ball quickly from deep - lying position, efficient one touch midfielders that can make the necessary through balls or the disciplined and pacey forwards to stretch defences into wide positions, without the aid of the backs coming up into the final 3rd, so that we can attack the defensive lanes in the same clinical fashion we did years ago... on this current squad, we have only 1 central defender on staf, Mustafi, who seems to have any prowess in the offensive zone or who can even pass two zones through so that we can advance
play quickly out of our own end (I have seen some inklings that suggest Holding might have some offensive qualities but too early to tell)... unfortunately Mustafi has a tendency to get himself in trouble when he gets overly aggressive on the ball... from our backs out wide, we've seen pace from the likes of Bellerin and Gibbs and the spirited albeit offensively stunted
play of Monreal, but none of these players possess the skill - set required in the offensive zone for the new Wenger scheme which requires deft touches, timely runs to the baseline and consistent crossing, especially when Giroud was
playing and his ratio of scored goals per clear chances was relatively low (better last year though)... obviously I like Bellerin's future prospects, as you can't teach pace, but I do worry that he regressed last season, which was obvious to Wenger because there was no way he would have used Ox as the right side wing - back so often knowing that Barcelona could come calling in the off - season, if he thought otherwise... as for our midfielders, not a single one, minus the more confident Xhaka I watched
played for the Swiss national
team a couple years ago, who truly makes sense under the traditional Wenger model... Ramsey holds onto the ball too long, gives the ball away cheaply far too often and abandons his defensive responsibilities on a regular basis (doesn't score enough recently to justify): that being said, I've always thought he does possess a little something special, unfortunately he thinks so too... Xhaka is a little too slow to ever boss the midfield and he tends to telegraph his one true strength, his long ball
play: although I must admit he did get a bit better during some points in the latter part of last season... it always made me wonder why whenever he
played with Coq Wenger always seemed to
play Francis in a more advanced role on the pitch... as for Coq, he is way too reckless at the wrong times and has exhibited little offensive prowess yet finds himself in and around the box far too often... let's face it Wenger was ready to throw him in the trash heap when injuries forced him to use Francis and then he had the nerve to act like this was all part of a
bigger Wenger constructed plan... he like Ramsey, Xhaka and Elneny don't offer the skills necessary to satisfy the quick transitory nature of our old offensive scheme or the stout defensive mindset needed to protect the defensive zone so that our offensive players can remain aggressive in the final third... on the front end, we have Ozil, a player of immense skill but stunted by his physical demeanor that tends to offend, the fact that he's been
played out of position far too many times since arriving and that the players in front of him, minus Sanchez, make little to no sense considering what he has to offer (especially Giroud); just think about the quick counter-attack offence in Real or the space and protection he receives in the German National
team's midfield, where
teams couldn't afford to focus too heavily on one individual... this player was a passing «specialist» long before he arrived in North London, so only an arrogant or ignorant individual would try to reinvent the wheel and / or not surround such a talent with the necessary components... in regards to Ox, Walcott and Welbeck, although they all possess serious talents I see them in large part as headless chickens who are on the injury table too much, lack the necessary first - touch and / or lack the finishing flair to warrant their inclusion in a regular starting eleven; I would say that, of the 3, Ox showed the most upside once we went to a back 3, but even he became a bit too consumed by his pending contract talks before the season ended and that concerned me a bit... if I had to choose one of those 3 players to stay on it would be Ox due to his potential as a plausible alternative to Bellerin in that wing - back position should we continue to use that formation... in Sanchez, we get one of the most committed skill players we've seen on this squad for some years but that could all change soon, if it hasn't already of course... strangely enough, even he doesn't make sense given the constructs of the original Wenger offensive model because he holds onto the ball too long and he will give the ball up a little too often in the offensive zone... a fact that is largely forgotten due to his infectious energy and the fact that the numbers he has achieved seem to justify the means... finally, and in many ways most crucially, Giroud, there is nothing about this
team or the offensive system that Wenger has traditionally employed that would even suggest such a player would make sense as a starter... too slow, too inefficient and way too easily dispossessed... once again, I think he has some special skills and, at times, has showed some world - class qualities but he's lack of mobility is an albatross around the necks of our offence... so when you ask who would be our best starting 11, I don't have a clue because of the 5 or 6 players that truly deserve a place in this side, 1 just arrived, 3 aren't under contract beyond 2018 and the
other was just sold to Juve... man, this is theraputic because following this
team is like an addiction to heroin without the benefits
this window has just finished i am already thinking about who we will get for the january window we might try for khedira on a really low offer as he is free agent almost would help boost numbers in midfield in the new year as we will no doubt need to filling the numbers about then also i will hold my hands up and say i was wrong this morning for giving wenger stick and saying welbeck is rubbish i have been out in the cold light of day and had a chance to reevaluate the situation and realized that this could be a canny shrew transfer on wenger behalf actually if wenger can turn the clock back and work his magic on welbeck and get him scoring goals and improve his game then we could have a great underrated signing on our hands its wengers absolute trust in him that might be what makes him a great player as this is something that he never had at old mordor if anybody can make him a world beater wenger can he loves this little pet projects improving players against the odds welbeck has the skillset to be high class player upfornt he just needs to work very hard on his finishing i think once he gets a few goals under his belt he will settle in fine and he is a
team player you could put him on the left against man city to shore up that side and he will put in a great shift without a complaint that could be his
biggest asset to us or on the right whenever we need him there ithinkwenger might start himon the left against city to protect the left back against navas and i bet you if he does a great job we will take a shine to him quickly i am hopeing he will be one of those wenger gems that he finds and polishes up to a high finish i must admit i was annoyed as some
other gunners were at not signing d / m and c / h but if wenger does win the league with this lot it will be his greatest win yet and what might
play in to our hands is the unpredictable nature of the league in the last few seasons if we get on a good run at the right time we might be hard to stop look at city they should have never lost to stoke but the result is there in black and white for all to see and i think chelsea will hit the skids after a while to just because cesc and costa are doing well now thats there main threat but
teams will work out how to stop them as the season goes on and chelsea will become predictable i think we might just do well this season after all
Then when arsenal beat a
big team it was not down to good
play from arsenal but because the
other team made a mistake that arsenal won.
Hes a jedi but i agree we need cazorla back or player like him or rosicky or song and coquin wasnt song who can still
play with the passing of the
other players in the
team xhaka is usually good on ball but so bad off of it hes been a bust so far we almost need the french connection again they have quality players we could use but honestly i think auba will be more effective on flank pnce we get laca back it takes alot of strength to
play up front in the premier league it takes two years to rebuild in pl at least bit we have had two rough years and not nearly as rough as chelseas or man u or Liverpool or well this is as
big as totteham will be before we make them drop down again and oh do nt forget man city either lets remember our history
In term of CB, people are forgetting that the youth academy have good players in Hayden and Ayaje.Southampton use to do well with their academy because the supporters will allow and accept the youths to be given a chance, now supporters from a
big team like Arsenal wants proven expensive world class players in order to win quickly in detriment to give a chance to the youths club.Wenger show preference to some in detriment of
others too
playing always the same player and giving few chance to
others.Bendtner last year was treated badly, look out this year for Campbell and why not give a chance to Ayaje and Hayden who are olders than Chambers in the cb position, don t tell me it s about potential if they are not given a chance?
Hi Fatboy, it may all change this year, and I for one would not be surprised if we do finish behind the spuds and out of the top four come May, I was always a
big AW supporter and would constantly say to
other gooners to be cafeful what you wish for, but the time has come, no genius makes the same mistakes over and over again, when was the last time Arsenal
played champagne football, its not good enough to say we do nt worry about how the
other team are going to
play we just
play our game, this has not been working for years now and a change is needed, if AW cant change then we need some new
I understand what you're saying bounty hunter, but I feel like the week prior to
big games should be enough time to at least tweak our formation slightly or employ a certain tactic, whether it's counter attack with less possession or
playing with two strikers up top instead of the lone striker, I would hope that players at the level required for arsenal would be able to adjust to this as it seems I tend to hear
other teams coming away from
big wins uttering phrases like «we worked on the manager's ideas this week and executed them well», I cant remember our players saying this for a while.
The Patriots have mastered the art of making the
big offensive
play in high leverage situations (see, e.g., converting on 3rd and 18 vs the Jaguars two weeks ago) and letting
other teams make the killer mistakes (with an occasional assist from the refs).
With the ways the
other teams are shaping up: 1) New managers in EPL with quite the success (Pep, Klopp, Conte & possibly Mourinho) 2)
Big money not afraid to spend And looking at the way the club, are lovely Arsenal they're
playing for are doing: 1) Wenger not showing any sign of changing his approach on the market 2) Lack of accountability & ambition at every level Delaying there contract resigning for themselves is the smartest thing they can do!
The
big boys will most likely cancel each
other out, so far only Arsenal vs Chelsea / Liverpool vs City / LLiverpool vs Arsenal have
played each
other, and we have Man City vs Chelsea coming up, so more drama to come plus a few shockers from the lesser
teams too.
«Our
biggest strength is the
team play, we don't have
big stars, but our togetherness and spirit is our
biggest strength, so as a
team we will have to make up for his loss and now
other players will have a chance to show they can do it.»
Listen its simple as ABC i remember the man utd match as soon as we moved Ramsey top his best position the match changed for us and we were in the driving seat yet peeps will deny.Ozil and Cazorla i am still thinking of how any
other manager will put them in the same
team, and it will work long term. This is not right. From what you are saying too we might as well sell Ramsey to a top
team which will
play him in his position and i also expect him to be less i njury prone and eventually becoming world class. Its so simple this thing i can tell you will not work forever yet keep denying.Ozil and Cazorla in the same
team a
big no.I want Cazorla in his best position and that is no 10.
I remind everybody it is mighty Burnley arsenal has just beaten and it was not so easy.I doubt this same
team would have beaten any
big team, open your eyes nothing has changed, it s still the favourites of wenger and the
others can rot on the bench or have a ridicule 10 mn of
play.
We need some midfielders that can be strong and battle for us!!!! al our midfield are forward thinking and there is such a
big hole from them and the back 4, It does not matter who we have
playing at the back we will always get attacked with goals against us with the style of midfielders we have, Let get some steel in the middle of the park, Lets bring in some players that
other teams feel fear
playing against us, Look back at our best
teams and we have always had players that will get back and cover and can tackle and win balls in the middle of the park, So many of our midfield now can, t even get back never mind win the ball back when we need it, It is NOT about the price of players it is all about buying players that can balance a good strong
team, At time we need to buy a player who is not a star but is good at doing what we need him to do,
If we continue
playing as a
team like we did Sunday I believe that sooner rather than later he will adapt and be more of a
team player, he brought in a winning mentality, zero mental issues against the
big teams hope he inspire
other players... and NO I have nothing wrong to say about SANCHEZ
I also am not too keen on our players not having
played in almost a fortnight, we aren't like the
other big teams when it comes to resting players..
look at
other big boys, they are
playing their first
team players even with less injuries they have, still we have Ramsey, Giroud, Welback out who could
play this game as well!
ESPN noted that, beside Paramus Catholic and its St. Frances (Md.) opponent, 14
other teams were slated to
play this year at the
Big House, and all were Michigan schools.
Wenger is a deluded idiot who is clueless and still thinks we
play teams like 16 years ago, football has changed and we have been sussed the way
play where
other clubs have moved on AFC has stagnated, Wenger has become too
big for his boots and shows he's arrogance towards fans paying the highest prices in Europe for watching mediocre players achieve nothing.
Wenger must also focus on how our opponents will line up, this thing of saying he only focuses on how Arsenal should
play not
other teams affects us in the
big games, sometimes a 1 - 0 or a Draw is a good result, if you can't win don't lose!
I do nt see us signing vidal, but our midfield is already too crowded, and ramsey and wilshare will not be happy as
playing 3rd and 4th choices when
other big teams wanted them.
Now I think there is still reasons to be cheerful, I agree Man C & Chelski have spent & bought some good players, we all understand that 5 of those
teams might be in the CL proper which is a huge distraction for those 4 - 5
teams.Chelsea will not be able to field the same 13 - 14 players all season, as for Man C they were very frail at the back last season, add to that 2 flying wing backs and I'm not sure they will be any better this coming season.LFC will most probably have CL as well if they qualify and haven't exactly bought great players apart from Salah who could be a good aquasistion for them.Spuds have sold a good player & strengthened a rival & still not bought a single player yet, Man U have bought 2 good players & in Lukaku have a proven goal scorer in the PL but if they
play the same dour way they did last season & with the added games the CL brings will they perform week in week out in the league??? As for Everton yes they have released a lot of players and also brought in a lot too to give better quality in the squad as they have Europa league the same as US the
big difference is I think we will
play squad players & youngsters maybe with a few senior players all the way up to the QF This tells me most of our rivals will pave the way for us to field pretty much the same side every weekend in the PL thus giving us an advantage over all the
other 5
teams playing in the CL & Europa, just remember the League has been won in the last 2 seasons by
teams NOT in Europe YES we are this season but I think Wenger will put all his eggs in the League basket and field an under strength side in all comps hence focusing on the League until we are no longer in the race.
