Aion, the soon - to - be formerly subscription - based MMO developed by NCsoft, will follow the footsteps of so many before it and go free - to -
play in Europe on February 28th.
I have
play for a long time Diablo I, II then L2 for years and after that
Aion, Forsaken World have elements from this 3 games I
play in the past, and it's awesome if u like the above games then u must
play it imo it's the best free mmorpg.
NCsoft is claiming though that
Aion will be second only to WoW in Europe and North America and from what we've
played so far we're leaning that ourselves.
NCsoft is the latest MMO house to drink the F2P koolaid;
Aion will be making the switch to the free - to -
play mode come February, the developer's announced, though only in Europe apparently.
While the cries from other
Aion players were filled with accusations of account sharing, botting, or other forms of cheating, a person who
played alongside the duo stated that the pair
played 18 - 20 hours a day and did nothing of the sort.
If you ever
played any fantasy MMO then you know exactly what we're talking about and
Aion definitely didn't want to be left out of the party.

Aion, Guild Wars, Dungeon & Dragons Online, The Lord of the Rings Online, and other landmark games.
Aion is my least
played as it was imo a disaster in the EU due to some incompetent handling by the publisher and a really toxic community which kind of soured me to the game to be able to enjoy it.
Combining the experience, knowledge and skills of both companies in order to bring
AION, as the prime MMORPG IP in Korea, to a Free - to -
Play model in Europe seems like a logical step.
