No one really cares if you have beautiful
plumbing under the house that cost you fifty bajillion dollars.
And it is really nice not to have to tear out electrical wiring in the walls and fix
plumbing under the house.

under most insurance policies, if your
house is unoccupied for more than four consecutive days during the heating season, your insurance will not cover water damage from the freezing of any part of a
plumbing, heating, or air - conditioning system, or an appliance such as a washing machine or dishwasher.
Renters coverage falls
under the H - 04 category of
house insurance and will pay for any damage incurred in the event of a fire, smoke, tornado, landslide, hurricane, ice, snow, sleet, hail, heavy rain, electrical damage, water damage, faulty
plumbing, theft, vandalism or civil commotion.
Depending on what channel you dial into, you could see through the walls of the home to view its wiring or
plumbing (this is called architectural anatomy); look
under the
house to see if it was built over an underground lake, a native burial ground or large mineral deposit; view property lines, rights of way, underground cables... you could even see a graphic representation of radiation levels within a 100 meter radius of the structure.

It is so nice to be able to run to a hardware store and find the part you need and look
under the
house or in the «smart boxes» that newer homes have and see all the
plumbing or wiring right where it should be (rather than find out it is hidden in walls you can't access or repair).
