We actually just installed
plywood planks on one of our bathroom walls today.
Then I saw the House of Smith's installed their own gorgeous planked walls using ripped

Perhaps an upright board beside a wall derives from John McCracken's
plywood and polyester
planks, but half smothered in something softer.

The rustic mirror looks great against the
planked wall, which can be made inexpensively by cutting 4 - x 8 - foot sheets of
plywood into 6 - inch - wide strips.
New decking is needed if it is rotted out or you have
planks under the shingles rather then OSB /
plywood.
Another note of interest, they used an exterior grade
plywood as the sub-wall painted absolute flat black before the
planks went up.
We have had some major DIY fails, so we're very hesitant now to take on big projects, but apparently DIY wide
plank floors from
plywood are a thing as far as the internet in concerned.

Then I grabbed a scrap piece of
plywood and started glueing the
planks to it, putting glue on the back and both edges.
Just found an idea that slapped my
plank wall in the financial face using 4X8 utility
plywood and cutting it down into
planks using a table saw.
The caption under that insta - pic explained that they found wood
planks under the drywall and original wood floors under the carpet, linoleum, and
plywood.
We've also found 6 ″ pine
planks at most hardware stores (we used them in our son's room and family room), if you're looking for a more authentic tongue and groove, or if you'd like an even wider look, a thin
plywood cut into strips would work perfectly too.

plywood at Home Depot for $ 13.97 each and had them cut it into 6 inch wide
planks.
I've been reading a lot of websites / blogs about using
plywood cut into
planks as flooring.
The walls are only
plywood and I would love to cover them with a plasticy version of cedar
planks (not sure what they are called).
We decided to use shiplap
planks from Home Depot rather than use the
plywood method.
Solid
planks are 100 % oak in construction, while engineered
planks comprise a
plywood core for extra stability.
