pocket inserts diapers failed to properly agitate inside the wash, we took matters into our own hands.

Just wanted to share that for my swiffers (vac and regular) I use prefolds or the terry
inserts from my
pocket diapers instead of the disposable sheets intended for them.
The waterproof outer material is sewn to an inner «Stay Dry» material; together those two layers form a
pocket that is stuffed with the third layer, an absorbent
pocket diaper insert.
I admit that sometimes, if I'm in a rush, I machine dry my PUL covers and
pocket diapers — and I always machine dry my fitteds, prefolds, and
inserts, and the occasional AIO
diaper that comes my way.
Often times, a one size
pocket diaper will include a one size
insert - an
insert that snaps or folds to accommodate the different sizes of the
diaper.

Doublers - A
diaper doubler is very similar to a
pocket insert.
Unlike a
pocket diaper, the
diaper insert goes directly against the baby's skin.
Inserts -
Inserts are specifically designed to be used with
pocket diapers.
Cloth
diaper inserts come in a variety of shapes and fabrics and can be stuffed in a
pocket or laid inside a
diaper cover, depending on your baby's output and absorbency needs.
This level of absorption and coverage reduces the type of leaks that occur when cloth
diaper inserts shift, leaving an empty area within the
pocket for pee to escape through.
I cut up the flat into 4 pieces and then use them as hemp boosters in my little girls cloth
pocket diapers, works great and they are cheaper than the hemp
inserts and much more trim!!
One thing I have noticed about one size
pocket diapers is that they usually come with
inserts.

diaper for slipping in an
insert or prefold.

Note:
pocket diapers are made with an inner layer of wicking fabric, so if you're using
pockets, this layer won't be necessary on your
inserts.
You can use the microfiber
inserts that come with the
pocket diaper, or you can try bigger thicker
inserts instead.
And prefolds also make great doublers,
inserts for your
pocket diapers, or burp rags.

I also like the flexibility of a
pocket diaper for those moments when I need to cram it full of
inserts when we want to sleep all night.
Before we discovered cloth swim
diapers, we tried using a regular
pocket diaper without the
insert.
Remember again that AIOs are not the same as
pocket diapers and leaks with
pocket diapers will be dealt with in a slightly different manner including consideration for interior and exterior fabrics as well as the type of
inserts used.
Without a
pocket to stuff,
diaper changes are quicker with Flip; just tuck the
insert or prefold of your choice under the front and back flaps and the
diaper is ready to put on your baby!
I recently bought some Geffen Baby Super Absorber Plus
inserts to try out in
pocket diapers.
If your baby can't last 2 hours in their
pocket diaper without leaks (using both provided
inserts), you might need an upgrade.
The
pocket in the
pocket diaper is where the absorbent
insert is placed.
If the
insert or prefold
diaper placed inside the
pocket diaper is too small or too narrow, it won't be able to absorb as much as necessary.
Bumgenius 4.0 are
pocket diapers, which are ideal for overnight
diapers because they allow parents to add extra
inserts to increase the absorbency.
To test this you could use your
pocket diaper and lay a hemp
insert on top so that the natural fibers are against your baby's skin.
The
pocket design also allows for the

diaper from the agitation of the washing machine.
I think someone already responded like this in an earlier comment but try using a gbaby
insert as a doubler in a
pocket diaper... it'll keep it from being SO wet for that period of time until you can change him / her in the morning.
