BILD reporting that Galatasaray have completed the signing of
Lukas Podolski for a fee of $ 4 million
Wenger brought on Monreal
for Podolski with 15 minutes left and we should have been 2 - 0 up because Vertonghen dragged Kos down in the box, but Arsenal don't seem to get penalties, especially from Mike Dean.
Alexis Sanchez: Sanchez will start ahead
of Podolski in tomorrow's game as Wenger continues to give his new boy enough game time to get him to top gear in the Arsenal team in no time.
With Podolski on loan (probably sold in summer), Campbell on loan, Sanogo on loan, Reus will still be needed.
We got Arshavin in January, and Wenger ruined him just
like Podolski in the coming seasons.
My main question is why Wenger
sold Podolski if he couldn't find a striker?
Arsene Wenger was much critized for not playing Lukas
Podolski in the Arsenal First team, despite his excellent goalscoring record for the club, but now the German is struggling to get a game on loan at Inter Milan it would seem like Le Prof was right.
Not only this but the resurgence of Lukas
Podolski on the left and Olivier Giroud upfront alongwith the superlative form of Theo Walcott has left Arsenal with plenty of attacking options.
OUT: Mert Flamini Arteta (don't care about others, but arteta HAS to go) Ryo Sanogo
Podolski Campbell Diaby
But I think that the Gunners could steal a march on the other clubs by offering his German club something like # 25 - 30 million in January, especially if Lukas
Podolski does not find some form between now and then.
It seems obvious to most Arsenal fans that Arsene Wenger does not like Lukas
Podolski as a player, because no matter how many injuries the Gunners have, or how out of form his selections are, as he still refuses to play the German winger.
Wenger now moved the best playmaker in the world, Ozil, to practically ineffective left wing and don't select cazarola and Rosicky (who are much better player than wilshere) and don't
play podolski on left wing.
Also
if Podolski does leave, I fully expect Reus to come, good business make # 1M profit on a 29 yr old and give his wages to his replacement
The others are a mix of too old, not good enough, too injury prone and many are kept on because of sentimentality, «potential» (never fulfilled) or the ubiquitous «home grown quota requirements» 12 out: Hayden Chambers Arteta Flamini Wilshere Chamberlain Gnabry Rosicky
Podolski Sanogo Wellbeck Campbell.
Sad to see
podolski leave as I'm a huge fan of the German and I think he could be a good squad player for us.
I would like to
see Podolski start for once as he is a great finisher.
Giroud Wellbeck Campbell
Podolski Rosicky Walcott Wilshere Cazorla Arteta Flamini Diabi Coquelin Mertesacker Koscielny Monreal Ospina Martinez.
Wenger messed about with
Podolski who at the time was our best finisher.
The current squad will looks like Szczesney ospina martinez Jenkinson debuchy Gabriel Mertesacker koscielny gibbs monreal Arteta flamini Coquelin ramsey wilshire diaby rosicky cazorla ozil chamberlain Walcott welbeck sanchez Campbell giroud
podolski ryo wellington sanogo
henry 12 i would swap sanchez and poldi sanchez is more devastating on the wing and while i do nt
think podolski works as a lone striker i think he would do well in a double pairing,,,, bullets flying from outside the box!!!!!
on another note why are we still keeping Diaby on the books when its clear he will never play competitive football t the top level ever again and yet we let
Podolski go when he was scoring goals (when he played) what is going on?
How many games did
Podolski start last season? He was even loaned out last season, Arsenal was with out him for half of the seasonand he was not even missed on the pitch.
And one other thing why are we talking of getting rid of the Prince when we still have miyaichi and coq on the list who unfortunately arnt gonna provide anything this season whereas
when podolski plays you know he is gonna cause some damage with that hammer
We just spoke
about Podolski who just went out, we spoke about Sanogo going out because we have so many offensive players that they don't get a chance to play.
Then a bunch of over the hill oldies like
Podolski Flamini Arteta Vermaelen Bendtner Park and Rosicky and injury wrecks like Diaby Sanogo and Ryo.
Because the boss had suggested that the reason for him not
giving Podolski more time on the pitch so far this season was that he had yet to get properly match sharp after the summer exploits of winning the World Cup in Brazil.
We are so close to having a squad that can perform against any team, get rid of deadwood like diaby, flamini, ryo and Campbell then sign Paulista, Schneiderlin and a top class striker e.g Falcao, Cavani, Suarez then
replace Podolski with Dybala.
To be phased out over the next 2 - 3 years Mertz Kos Monreal Arteta Flamini Rosicky Cazorla
Giroud Podolski Sanogo Campbell
Arsenal — Szczesney ozil sanchez Ramsey wilshire chamberlain rosicky
cazorla podolski Walcott campbell chambers koscielny mertesacker debuchy diaby gibbs monreal arteta giroud flamini ospina
OT: Man I really wanted Dybala as a player because the kid will no doubt be a star and would have been the perfect
Podolski replacement for me, but I feel the Palermo boss is right about his corrupted influences hence why he would fancy Man City or Madrid.
Just as the shot
from Podolski from a tight angle that went in the side net.
Hmm, assuming Theo can't start yet I would've definitely
used Podolski on the left wing.
Just face reality, even if
Podolski scores 10 + as a sub til January Wenger will still start Cazorla and Jack all day.
I'm beginning to think we might have to sell
podolski because we can't keep paying for goal repairs
Wenger and barca said no but when i saw on sky news wenger had a smirk on his face same as when he
said podolski wasnt coming
Walcott Chamberlain Gnabry
Podolski Wellbeck Campbell Sanogo Rosicky Ramsey Wilshere Ozil Cazorla.
I understand that the competition is good for a player but why
Podolski looks like only one who has to fight with more players to start a game or even have a good 20 - 25 minut and yet some players have no competition?
Last season it was our solid defence that was keeping the Gunners going, while we struggled for goals at the other end, especially after
losing Podolski, Walcott and Ramsey to injury problems.
Walcott
+ Podolski + Sanchez = headers for Giroud.
I think we could be looking at 6/7 leaving scz arteta flamini
podolski Walcott Rosicky and sanogo imo this is the right move for us to become real title contenders upgrade on these players and were there I want to see Cech Kondogbia lacazette and sterling.
I can't imagine Giroud or Sanogo or
even Podolski playing that accurate through ball for him.
He makes a lame reason as to
why Podolski doesn't play saying he came back from the world cup and only now he is coming back to his best.
im sure if we cut on dead wood we could pay better players more instead of allowin them to leave... im sure Theos more valuable
then Podolski at the moment (even excluding the fact that Theos English).
