poetic (and rather slow) meditation on class conflict couched in a ghost story from Laotian director Mattie
Do; and Down Under (Grade: B --RRB-, a Superbad -
style profane coming - of - age comedy set against the backdrop of the Cronulla race riots that took place in Sydney, Australia in Christmas 2005.
The writing
style is a throw back to old literature (i guess) and you might consider it
poetic or beautiful but I just didn't like it, it reminds me of something Grand Morrison would write and I have had it with him lately.
At this early stage, his works were mostly
done in a geometric Op art
style that drew ideas from both Bauhaus and Minimalist theory, while by the mid-sixties, he moved away from the optical, scientific aspect of his work and toward a more
poetic and painterly direction.
