Marriott Rewards has long had
a points expiration policy, but it seems that it has never really been enforced to any great extent.
It can be tough to keep up with airline and hotel rewards programs and
their point expiration policies.

Marriott Rewards have now advised that from 1 February, 2016, that they will be enforcing
the points expiration policy.
Thankfully it doesn't involve redemption levels but rather IHG elite membership and
their point expiration policy:
