The sound of a running stream and seeing the crocuses and daffodil greens
poking out of the ground are my two favourite signs that Spring is on the way.
The flowers are starting to

Tiny wildflowers
poked out of the ground along the way, and the harder I looked the more I saw; they don't have stalks so they can conserve what little water they get during the dry season (July and August).
When I was first invited to the Brewers Plate in Toronto two years ago, I thought they were nuts, trying to put together an event celebrating local Ontario food before even the asparagus was
poking out of the ground.
Despite my lack of a green thumb, I always love seeing the daffodils and other spring flowers

1) Peel and slice the onions thinly 2) De-seed red bell pepper and cut into small cubes 3) Saute red bell pepper cubes and sliced onions until onions turn slightly soft and transparent 4) Mix sauteed red bell pepper, onions, and corn together with eggs, milk cream and cream cheese 5) Season with salt, pepper and
ground nutmeg to taste 6) Pre-heat oven to 200 deg cel 7) Grease a round baking tray with olive oil 8) Stretch a tart shell and cover the baking tray entirely 9) Pour in the corn - filling mixture over the tart shell, spreading it
out evenly 10) Cover the filling with the second stretched tart shell 11) Use a fork to
poke holes in the top tart shell, and then press down on the shell so the juices spill
out 12) Sprinkle top
of tart with a generous amount
of sugar 13) Bake in oven at 200 deg cel for around 30 — 40 minutes or until tart shell is golden brown 14) Serve with a side
of vegetable salad (optional)
Even in defeat, as rare as those occurences have been, Bolton have been pleasing on the eye and were even unfortunate; a red card to influential and much sought after centre - half Gary Cahill scuppering their chances
of grounding a point
out of their away contest with Arsenal when the score was level at 1 - 1, while they had several penalty appeals turned down before seeing Maxi Rodriguez toe -
poke one underneath Jussi as Bolton suffered their second undeserved defeat
of the season.
The sprinkling
of humor sometimes keeps the movie
grounded in its roots, but when it branches
out it
pokes you in the eye rather than enlightens.
I came
out of the parking garage stairwell and snapped to attention when I saw its big grille
poking out of the dark, hunkered way down almost on the
ground between the gorgeous headlamps.

ground, Spring is just around the corner, can't wait!
To keep the architecture diverse and unique, they also designed it in a dramatic triangular shape as if sticking
out of the
ground like flint
poking it's head
out of the field's surface.
