These rules, which range from initial encounters with
police and conditions of arrest, through cautioning, representation and interrogation, to bail issues, sentencing and diversionary schemes, are a mixture of rules that apply generally to Indigenous and non-Indigenous juveniles
alike (eg arrest conditions, interrogation
procedures and diversionary strategies), and others that are Indigenous specific (eg Indigenous representation and certain detentions conditions).
