Other M was plagued by a weak story,
poor voice acting, and a few questionable gameplay mechanics.
The visuals are solid and the sound, minus
the poor voice acting, is pretty good too, but the gameplay is a mixed bag indeed.
If you can look beyond the graphics of yesteryear, the monotonous tones of the enemies,
the poor voice acting and the aimless grind to make you just a little bit stronger which, won't matter anyway as you will still be unfairly outnumbered as you progress in the game.
Riptide once again falls into old bed - fellows with
its poor voice acting, with the main cast still providing a so - so effort.

Cinematics Regardless of
the poor voice acting and cliched storyline, the comic book style cinematics are impressively animated.

To name but a few: I've had mercs spotted through walls, enemies alerted to a mercs presence for no apparent reason (yes I understand the stealth mechanics), enemy AI is appalling (you can eliminate a building full of enemies but just running a merc around the perimeter of the building, thus alerting the enemies, and then shooting them all as they come out of the door), the game is riddled with typos (e.g. some of the mercs have a trait called «though», which is obviously meant to be «tough»), the
voices acting is
poor and annoying (who honestly wants to have their merc scream the same phrase over and over again every time you select them?)
The
voice acting is largely terrible: Lance Henriksen phones it in and everyone else is either flat and dull or wildly overcompensating, but then bearing in mind the universally
poor script it's not surprising.
The soundtrack is largely forgettable, and while the
voice acting is welcome and very well done, the ludicrously
poor lip - syncing approaches early - Godzilla levels of apathy.
In terms of the story, it is a little (well quite a bit) clichéd and the
voice acting ranges from
poor to mediocre which does make the game feel a little cheap, especially the Sean Connery character.
