It was important to me when designing these spaces that they stayed true to my personal style, sticking with a neutral base of off white and adding
pops of blue through pillows, throws, and other accessories.

Honoring traditional Asian arts
through her use
of Hanji paper, Korean silk, and calligraphic brushstrokes, she plays with iconography and symbols that have been classified as «foreign» such as
blue and white china patterns, fortune cookies (which originated in California but are identified as Chinese), Korean fans, and floating dragons and intermingles them with references to
Pop and southern folk art.
The space is predominantly decorated using neutral greys and warm wood, but
pops of a vibrant
blue are also scattered
through the scheme, lifting the mood in the living room.
Because I like a mostly white kitchen I like the white tile with the
blue border running
through — a subtle
pop of color.
