portal as a transfer partner, and the transfer rate is... unusual

If you don't want to
transfer the points to travel
partners, you can also use them
as a credit to book travel on the credit card company's travel
portal.
They can be redeemed for 1.5 cents each towards airfare, hotel or even activities such
as tours through the Chase travel
portal, or
transferred to one of Chase's many excellent
transfer partners.
The Chase Sapphire Preferred Card also earns Chase Ultimate Rewards points, which can be redeemed through the Chase Ultimate Rewards
portal for 1.25 cents per point, or
transferred 1:1 to travel
partners such
as United Airlines or Hyatt.
But best of all those cards allow you to
transfer your points to travel
partners, such
as United, Southwest, Marriott, and also allow you to redeem Ultimate Rewards through the Chase Travel
Portal at rates like 1.25 cents per point and 1.5 cents per point.
These points are incredibly valuable since you can either use them to book travel directly through the online
portal or you can
transfer them to one of their rewards
partners such
as United, Southwest or British Airways where they become true frequent flyer miles in those programs.
That takes into account the wide variety of redemption options available to you, whether
transferring them directly to airline and hotel
partners or using them
as a credit when booking through the Membership Rewards Travel
portal.
Not only can you redeem them
as statement credits for any travel purchase, but you get a 25 percent bonus when you redeem them for travel through Chase's Ultimate Rewards
portal, and you can
transfer them to an array of airline
partners at a rate of 1:1.
