Shopify does have a blog, and its features are impressive — you can change
author info, categorize
posts, and adjust the meta description — but the design is not as intuitive as WordPress.
Hi Awesome Really like this site so I have
posted by book
info and my
author interview but they don't seem to be featured on your pages.
Authors, if you have a bargain Kindle book that you would like us to
post, please enter the
info for your book in the form below.
Thank you for the
info Vinny, now I think I see, You'd like a blog about marketing from lil» ol' me, Promote only when you are in a happy mood, And never promote your books by being far too rude, Try to make your
posts interesting, clever and funny, And try not to part with a large amount of money, Now I feel there is one thing I should stress, Never go and give your cash to a vanity press, Blog, tweet and update your Facebook status as often as you can, Make contact with other
authors and befriend your only fan, Be courteous, considerate and always be kind, And you will slowly find, You'll get people interested and make them all see, Especially when you give your book away for free, Sit back, relax and be rather nice, And always think about the price, People will not part with their cash unless the price is low, Particularly for an
author they do not even know, Always remember to write purely for fun, Never think that your profit will be a huge great sum, And pray for exposure to the lord above, Because self - publishing is a labour of love,
Allow readers to find your book, understand its contents, get a personal connection to you the
author, and even preview the book through Google Book Search or BookBuzzr (more
info on this in a later
post).
I'd also be interested in trying out Kobo's
Author Notes but the only
info I can get on it is a vague blog
post and a link to a blank page.
Add new blog
posts to your

Fresh Fiction allows
authors to
post free on their site, they also do reviews, and you can buy an ad campaign and run contests or blog there or

Read the first
post, Set Your Foundation, for insider
info on the basics of your
author website.
Recently, due to of my burst of
posts on the Kindle Boards, I've gotten a number of Private Messages from
authors asking for counsel on one matter or another, so I thought I would take the time to lay out my thoughts so that the
info is available to everyone.

We created the Kobo Writing Life blog at www.kobowritinglife.com in order to outline spotlights on
authors, highlighting various things that they are doing, as well as to share information and insights about KWL, as well as the craft and business of writing (See Darcy's
post about starting your novel on Kobo Writing Life blog here), so that's a great place to keep your eye out for updated tidbits and
info.
One thing I'm happy about is that most of my «friends» on FB and followers on Twitter are aspiring
authors or novelists continuing to work on their craft, so my
posts with links to articles here and on other blogs always offer value — useful
info for this target audience, and many of them share my
posts and links.
There are some
authors I'm much LESS likely to read because they've hijacked
author info sites with «tweet and share and make my book the most successful in history and screw you if you have a book to sell too because I'm going to bump my
posts up the thread every 15 minutes... it's all about me, me, ME!!»
You can get the latest news, hone in on the articles from your favorite category or
author, listen to our TreeHugger Radio podcasts, and even check out the TreeHugger Twitter feed as we
post news and
info.
