Just as a point of clarification to Bill's
post above, while I welcome
what I thinkis a imporant point we should al keep
in mind I would
in no way ever see myself as an important part of the conversation more a present somewhat comenting bystander although my ego was very flattered when I read Bill's
comment
I had noticed that a couple of people had
commented earlier regarding the OP, so that's
what I did, as well as
posting something personal having to do with the change of topic to participate
in the conversation and, hopefully, help with the healing going on here

I am reading your newest
posts to your oldest.I have never been to bible school but I consider myself
in the journey of education concerning the bible.more than any opinions that you have
what concerns me most is how «brothers and sisters» through their
comments responds to someone who thinks differently from
what is perceived as absolutes (not sure if that's the right term)
in scripture.I wonder did the apostle believe half the things that are seen as church doctirine today?how did the disciples who did not have the new testament or the ability to read follow Jesus?I appreciate your questioning.
In my experience we are too quick to try and fix someone or use the scriptures as a control mechanism and to slow to practise empathy and love..

Having read most, if not all of the

what you are stating
in the above

what Jeremy is saying.
just look at the hate filled
comments that fill this
comment page... it is disgusting
what many of the

in addition, it is very acceptable to
post what Christians would consider blasphemous statements on this.
If you have to preface
what you are about to
post with a warning that — despite the forth - coming
comments — you are not racist, bigoted, closed - minded (or fill
in the blank), then we've got some unfortunate news: You're probably about to write something racist, bigoted or closed - minded.
Despite the negativity of some of the

This is to davidnfran hay David you might have brought this up
in a previous
post I haven't read, but i did read quit a bit about your previous
comments and replies at the beginning of this blog, so I was just wondering
in light of
what hebrews 6 and 10 say how would you enterprite passages like romans 8 verses 28 thrue 39
what point could paul have been trying to make
in saying thoughs amazing things
in romans chapter 8 verses 28 thrue 39
in light of hebrews 6 and 10, Pauls says that god foreknew and also predestined thoughs whom he called to be conformed to the image of his son so that he would be the first born among many brothers and then he goes on saying that neither death nor life nor angels nor rulers nor things present nor things to come nor powers nor hight nor death can ever separate us from the love of god
in christ jesus so how would i inturprate that
in light of that warning
in hebrews 6 and 10,
And so you don't have to keep asking why I'm ignoring most of
what you
posted in your original
post is that I'm only
commenting on the part that really pertains to this blog.
You have probably seen Sam
comment on several
posts over the past month or so, and after hearing some about
what he is doing
in San Diego, I wanted to hear more, and I know that many of you do to.
They weren't doing those things because today
what it means to be a Christian is to sit on your lazy butt
in front of your computer and
post comments under news articles that state your opinions and put others down with judgement and hatred.
Pointing out
what is a trend (not an absolute truth)

So until God raises up something new

That's
what Kate the Great, aka, Kate Pitrone, Ashland grad, community college teacher, mother, and longtime high - quality No Left Turns commenter says
in a
comment to this Powerline
post.
In a way Religion is for Dummies... reading your
comments has been true pleasure because I did not think it was actually possible to have a discussion with someone who would
post a
comment that stupid on a board... there is a god or there is no god because I say so because of my limited experience...
what wonderful ignorance most people here have...
To answer your question, I disagree with some of
what you wrote here, but rather than express that,
in this instance I felt it better to share Paul's thoughts on some of the topics
in your
post and
in the
comments / thread as I thought that would be more helpful and more fruitful than my thoughts.
I blame my good friend Stephen Hammond and
what he pointed out

comments on this
post and on other past
posts, I measure
what those who claim to follow Jesus and trust
in the written word, write or say by Paul's measure «But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self - control.»
What cracks me up, Let it Be, is that you're so stupid you didn't even manage to figure out that I was
commenting from your side of the field
in support of your
post.
You may not know it, but this
post is a small part of a much longer series on how to understand the violence of God
in the Bible, and
in those other
posts I have presented ideas quite similar to
what you are saying
in your
comment.
I think it is along some of the same ideas as
what has been said above (and
in many, many other
posts /
comments)
So if you have read this far, do NOT
comment on this
post, but instead, share it on Facebook or Twitter, then sit back to see
what sort of
comments come
in from people who read nothing but the title.
I am not sure that your
comment has anything to do with
what was written
in the
post...
I was writing blogs, reading blogs,
commenting on blogs,
commenting on
comments, joining groups, creating groups,
posting bulletins, reading bulletins, taking top ten quizzes that told the world
what I thought about my favorite CDs, movies and
what character I would be if I was living
in the world of Buffy the Vampire Slayer!
None of these speak of a hierarchy where some are more called or «sent» than others, which is
what was
commented on
in a previous
post.
It took forever to
post that
comment... You just never know
what words are acceptable
in a CNN blog!
