plagiarism accusations.
In an excellent blog
post, bestselling author and writing teacher David Farland takes
on purveyors of
plagiarism, fake reviews, purchased reviews, review - swapping schemes, attack reviews, etc..
Williams» defense
on the issue has been to
post a statement that the book was ghostwritten and passed its
plagiarism test, ostensibly through some service like Copyscape.

That implies possible
plagiarism on Rapp's part, which the previous version of the
post did not.
As I've maintained from the beginning (well before the RC
post on this matter), correction of an error is not «passing off someone else's work» and can not rise to a finding of
plagiarism.
Neither the comments here, nor the
posts on the websites accusing Wegman of
plagiarism, contend that Wegmam's statistical analysis or social network analysis rely
on the background material which is at issue.
It's not relevant to the
plagiarism issue, but as a matter of maths I am interested in the PCA issues, and I have a recent
post on my blog, which I want to take further.
