the posting of bonus points on the 3rd statement.

As the title
of this
post should hopefully have told you, Hyatt is back with another
points promotion... only this time they're playing nice and made the top
bonus available to everyone (the last 40 %
bonus in September was targeted).
On Monday I
posted about Chase emailing out promotions on some
of their co-branded credit cards that offer
bonus points for spending over $ 1,000 in a single transaction and I took a look at just how good (or bad) those offer are.
To qualify for the 40,000
bonus rewards
points, a total
of at least $ 3,000 in net purchases (purchases minus returns / credits) must
post to your account within 3 months from the date your account is opened.
I'll report back on my success at getting the
bonus points to
post and try to build up a table
of fees that do and don't trigger the
bonus points.
Yesterday, I
posted the news about the revival
of a fabulous Chase Ritz - Carlton 140,000 -
point bonus offer.
You are then awarded two thousand (2,000)
bonus Scotia Rewards
points for every additional $ 10,000 (ten thousand dollars) in purchases
of goods or services

One
of the big lessons
of churning credit cards for
bonus miles is that it's usually not worth keeping the card after the
bonus points post, or that if you do, you should try to get the fee waived.
Bonus points post within 3 days
of this happening.
I'm worried about the timing
of hitting the $ 2000 min spend and having the 50K
bonus points post after that January 3 statement.
By implementing several strategies, credit card sign - up
bonus and
bonus miles via referral I was able to acquire more than 700,000 miles and
points without flying.We used some
of these miles and
points to travel for almost free to destinations like Washington D.C, Myrtle beach, Miami, NYC, Baltimore, Cancun and the highlight
of this year was our 10 days Trip to Europe (Spain and France) which costed me barely $ 500 (airfare + lodging) for two people while flying business class on US Air (more details in next week
posts) and staying at some top - notch five star hotels in the best
of the locations.
So far we've earned (or are about to earn, since some
of the credit card
bonus miles haven't
posted yet) 585,000 miles and
points, and bought 150,000 AAdvantage miles, for a total
of 755,000 miles and
points.

post are in Starpoints and are for round - trip travel and are assuming that you maximize the 25 %
point bonus for transferring Starpoints in blocks

Unfortunately, you're going to have to wait a couple
of months before you can cash in, as you have to «allow up to 8 weeks after each new cardmember's approval for
bonus points to
post to your account.»
So far, I've not heard
of bonus points being able to be expedited so as to
