pot of meat stock left over for more soups and for drinking from a mug, and sometimes we have chicken left to put into other
meals as well.
Finely chopped vegetables cook in the same amount
of time as the barley, for a one -
pot meal that's ready in about 20 minutes.
I soak large
pots of various types
of beans every month or so and then cook them — freezing for easy, quick
meals when beans are required like homemade chili.
But make a big
pot of gumbo and it really adds to the
meal.
Sheet pan dinners and one
pot meals are a favourite
of mine — and this list
of gluten free options is definitely going on my to make list!!
The convenience
of various one -
pot meals — stews, soups, beans and even dessert — as well as mess - free cooking is more than alluring.
The beauty

We've literally eaten nothing but one
pot meals for the past four months, with hardly any barbecue making an appearance on our table this year, so I'm excited to finally have some time to cook some new food after spending most
of this year testing new recipes for you to try in a year and a half (ha!).
But on the other hand, I love the convenience

pot meal — less dishes, and you can dish out the leftovers one bowl at a time over the next couple days without getting sick
