potato, 2 large carrots, 1 cup canned crushed pineapple (1/2 cup reconstituted frozen orange
juice if crushed pineapple is hard to get), 1 cup raisins, 2 tablespoons cinnamon, 1/3 cup vegetable oil, 1/4 cup sugar, salt and pepper to taste.
Reason to follow a
recipe and not go on a crazy, custom tangent # 211: adding more red
potatoes than the
recipe calls for soaks up the amazing
juices and turns a stew into a glorp.
I chose to add fresh dill and dill pickle
juice to Gina's
recipe because, well, dill and
potatoes are a match made in heaven!

My favorite way to use up various greens is Deborah Madison's Greens with Potatoes

potato chunks tossed in, and a little olive oil / lemon
juice / vinegar for flavor, plus salt and plenty of pepper.

recipe (often named for San Nicola, the guardian saint of sailors), these little packets seal in the fish and vegetable
juices, with the
potato slices insulating the fish from the heat of the oven and the olives and lemon slices emphasizing its bright flavors.
I still like this

potato and carrot mixture is very promising as a cheese substitute - I added a teaspoon of tahini to it and it was delicious.Way too much lemon

I needed about twice as much lemon

recipe called for to get to the desired consistency, but I'm sure starchiness varies from

The only thing that would improve this
recipe is cooking the
potatoes in the pan you just roasted a chicken in, using the chicken
juices as part of the liquid.

juiced 3 limes and baked for 20 min uncovered and then another 25 min covered i layed chicken on a bed of spinache and served with a side of mashed sweet
