In the below list I'm not trying to discourage pet owners from adopting rescue dogs but rather attempt to discuss some of
those potentially wrong reasons for adopting a dog, some of which may do more harm than good, and when rescue may not be for you (and our editor Samantha has further expanded on this topic in her podcast episode).

reason it is recommended to only introduce one dog at a time is that dogs act differently together (pack mentality), and you could
potentially set things off on the
wrong paw.
(Note in Curry's 2011 «
Reasoning About Climate Uncertainty» Curry does countenance the possibility of two opposing arguments each backed with a «high confidence level», so there are
potentially two trees, and one of which Curry insists is the
wrong one.)
