Lots of kids get attached to their own
potty seat or the familiar toilet
at home, and it's normal for them to be leery of other bathrooms.
The difference between a
Potty Seat and
Potty Chair
at first glance seem to be an easy question to answer.
Since the key to
potty - training success is child confidence and security, you'll have to invest in either a small
potty that rests on the floor or
at least a smaller
seat that you can place on the big toilet.
At about seven months old she wasn't wanting to sit on it but I found that if I gave her an interesting toy she was happy to perch on her
potty seat.
Especially in the early stages of
potty training, it may be unrealistic to ask a toddler who's just learning how to use the familiar toilet
at home to sit on a
seat and go to the bathroom in a strange place.
