In the final installment, I'll explore a bit more on the subject of
Power Evangelism and aspirational charismatics.
Power evangelism is a spontaneous, Spirit - inspired, empowered presentation of the gospel.
Wimber defined
power evangelism as «a presentation of the gospel that is rational but that also transcends the rational (though it is in no way «irrational» or anti-rational).»
And, as I will explain next time, «Empowered Evangelicals» (rather than «
power evangelism») because a growing trend.
Power evangelism is preceded and undergirded by demonstrations of God's presence and frequently results in groups of people being saved.
Wimber believed
power evangelism was the most effective means of evangelism in the early church and
power evangelism was present during periods of great missionary expansion and renewal throughout church history.

Power evangelism resulted in mass conversions among families, villages and communities, according to Wimber.

A truly ecclesial biblical scholarship supports the Church's evangelical mission by giving new
power to Catholic preaching, Catholic catechesis, and Catholic
evangelism.
They are not otherworldly mystics; those who pray in tongues frequently, prophesy, have experienced spiritual healing and «going under the
power,» and believe that God answers specific prayer and leads them to specific actions are the ones who are most engaged in
evangelism.

Nowhere was this clearer than in Youth for Christ, a movement that began as an effort to provide Christian young people with a blend of wholesome entertainment and high -
powered, upbeat
evangelism.
Most pastors believe the best way to keep Christian - Muslim relations calm is to maintain a low profile in terms of
evangelism and gripes, to hunker down, protect the real estate from vultures without and within the community, maintain good relations with the Muslim
power brokers and hope that the Christian poor will remain faithful.
Evangelism and social justice, political

power of servanthood, the individual and the community, love and justice, these are the polarities that the evangelical church must address as it moves toward a Biblically informed consensus regarding social ethics.

The term «
power,» used among those ascribing to the early Third Wave, meant evidential
power of the Holy Spirit, resulting in healing, miracles, and
evangelism.
Some of the most impressive
evangelism and justice ministry is being carried out by ecumenical groups outside of denominational affiliation and

powers that oppress human beings, the churches are trying to fulfil this evangelistic vocation.
Madras defined
evangelism thus: «By
evangelism, therefore, we understand that the Church Universal, in all its branches and through the service of all its members, must so present Christ Jesus to the world in the
power of the Holy Spirit that men shall come to put their trust in God through Him, accept Him as the saviour and serve Him as Lord in the fellowship of His Church».46
Some of those shocked by the sudden disappearance of their loved ones will become true «Bible - believing» Christians who will band together to resist the wiles of the Antichrist and conduct secret
evangelism campaigns meant to grow the
power and numbers of their «tribulation force.»
This caring includes
evangelism, telling its internal history because «those who know the story's healing and directive
power want others to know it too» (54).
It does appear that the Roman Catholics, whose orders carry out much of the
evangelism and social action, and whose pastors and bishops are also celibate (breaking thereby some of the extraordinary
power of kinship connections), have fewer difficulties on these fronts.
Never underestimate the
power of a cultish fanbase to grow into a megaton of
evangelism given a couple of years» downtime.
